Sorry for all those people that like skyline chili, but MY experience is what I'm writing about. My wife and I decided to stop by the new skyline chili in springfield, Ohio, and I think it was a mistake. The service was good and the waitress was friendly. The food on the other hand was very questionable. We ordered the "new" nachos that they are featuring. It is not worth the price! You get chips that are soggy, and tasted stale. There was plenty of lettuce snd cheese, with only about 2 tablespoons (if that much) of chili. My wife ordered 3 way chili, which was cold, they did remake it for her, but she didn't like it, she said it had a funny taste! I ordered the "chili bowl" with the 3 hot dogs (if that is what you want to call them), chili and cheese. The hot dogs were maybe 3 inches in length (half the size of a hot dog from the store) and the chili, as well as the hot dogs, were luke warm! The food was well below normal standards for a restaurant. I was joking with my wife saying that this was our second visit, our first and last! While sitting in the booth, I was watching "cooks" (used loosely) fixing plates. I watched one cook take a plate off of the serving tray, grab the cheese off of the plate, and RETURN IT TO THE WARMING DISH! Sorry people, that IS NOT DONE in a normal restaurant (or should not be done). The restaurant was clean and had nice ambiance! I especially like the serving robot, that delivered the food to the table for the waitress to serve the people. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody! Again, this was my experience for this particular restaurant, and the first impression is the most valuable! read more
