I'm really disappointed with my recent experience at Skyline Chili. My girlfriend ordered a burrito, and when her food came out, we found a hair on the lettuce next to it. It completely ruined her appetite and made us question the cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation. Mistakes can happen, but finding something like that in or on your meal is unacceptable. We were expecting a clean, enjoyable meal, and instead we left feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. I hope Skyline Chili takes food safety and quality control more seriously so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Another 5* Skyline visit. I live out of the area, so coming to Skyline is a must when I visit. This one is near family so convenient. Same great service and meal. I love the 3way and always get it "juicy." So good. I also had a cheese coney. I enjoy "sopping" up the juice from the 3way with the coney bread as I eat it. Good service. Always efficient. Great experience here. I brought my parents, aunt and uncle for dinner. The server was friendly and swift, bringing food and refills quickly. Half of us had special orders (yep, no mustard or onions on my coneys please!), and everything came out correct and fresh. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more

I love skyline. You know what I don't love? Onions. We ordered 4 cheese coneys NO onion, and we got 5, with a massive amount of onions. I've seen skyline put onions on things before, this is the most I've ever seen. I've had my order messed up from this place like 10 times and I'm seriously getting tired of it. We called and told them what happened, came back up, and they remade our entire order for free, AND gave us a $20 gift card. after eating the correct order, I'm not as mad. Skylines so good but damn. also I could taste the onion in my new correct order, the kids who work there don't think we can taste when they don't switch gloves but we can. This was our first, and likely our last, visit to Skyline Chili. We've heard Skyline is a Midwestern staple (though according to their website, they also have locations in FL), so we were excited to see one in Northern Kentucky when we visited. Service was great, the food was a bit different than we expected. My husband ordered two hot dogs with chili, mustard, onions and cheese, and I ordered a 4-way with onions, we got a Greek salad to share, and tea to drink. The salad was delicious, and the star of the show. The crackers, salty oyster crackers, were the second best thing about our meal. The chili was so strange to someone who's used to savory chili. The chili was sweet with unique spices (maybe cinnamon or allspice?). The hot sauce did help a bit, but I was unable to finish my food. I assume the unique flavor is an acquired taste, which we do not plan to acquire. read more

Boy, The reviews of this place going down hill are definitely true. Went through the drive thru last seek for coneys. They had like less than a teaspoon of chili in each one. Only every now and then do I desire a chili cheese company, however, the buffalo chicken salad has really made an impression on me. I find this solid to be really filling and have a lot of pro Tien, which is not typically my salad experience. I love the buffalo sauce and adding the hot sauce as well. The oyster crackers are an amazing appetizer. I recommend you add hot sauce to those two. The service is always so nice and very quick. I find the price is very reasonable for a meal out. Server was ready to go, doing closing duties and that being the main focus of the night. He forgot our drinks for 10-15 minutes until the food was ready and I asked if he minded if we got our drinks. He was very apologetic which I liked, but kept forgetting everything we would ask for. As for the food, they need practice cutting onions as I got several pieces of the skin and roots which I couldn't chew. I went to Skyline Chili in Independence KY today and I was happy to see that the amount of cheese has increased to what I remember it to be. The last time I ordered Skyline, I was disappointed that the amount of cheese had really been skimped on. My server, Kayla has to be the best server I have ever had. Kayla really made me feel welcome, she was very polite and attentive. Kayla was top notch. If you plan on going to Skyline Chili in Independence KY, keep an eye out for Kayla. First off, I love Skyline. It is a craving that I find I have to fill on an almost weekly basis. That said, I do not know what has happened to this location over the past year or so. They used to be so reliable with perfectly prepared food. However, over the past 12 months they have started to decline significantly. Waits are long, difficulty hearing drive through orders (or difficulty focusing, not sure which), food is never right or suddenly prepared differently than it ever has been (hardly any sauce for example), and worst of all, food is cold. So disappointing. I'd rather drive to the Taylor Mill location than go here, which is sad. read more

What can I say. It's Skyline Chili and I love it. They are quick, clean and always friendly. Our family loves have a Skyline so close.

I like Skyline Chili. Sure, many who aren't local won't understand or agree, but I'm not referring to the chili (which is a Greek concoction, BTW...) They are an outstanding local business, who supports local organizations, sports teams, and even let our Boy Scouts gather in their parking lot before parades. They have outstanding customer service. They greet you cheerfully as you enter the restaurant, and wait on you immediately, as they bring you a small bowl of oyster crackers. Their menu is not extensive, but all the food is fresh, wholesome & delicious. So, instead of saying nasty things about the crappiest restaurants in town (McDonalds & Taco Bell), I thought I'd take the time to endorse a good one. Good job, Skyline Chili...!! I have to say that I have always been a fan of chili and most of it (about 96%) has been home, but there is something about the chili at skyline that I just can't get behind. To me it just does not taste like chili at all. However to each there own and I think everyone should try things for themselves because everything is different for everyone. Service was fine about the same that you would expect from a fast food style chili place but have to say that the place was not very clean or maybe thats a personal standard but it could have been an off day for them. read more

I can't really perform much of a review, as I only visited this location via the drive-thru. I will say that the food I ordered was correct (one large five-way with habanero cheese and one regular four-way with extra onions and habanero cheese). They even threw in an extra bunch of oyster crackers just for kicks. The chili was, as always, perfect. I will probably come back, mainly due to the proximity to my in-law's house. read more
