"No ice, no problem." Marcellus after working only 3 weeks at Skyline made my absolute night with the most comical, enjoyable experience at a drive through window (my friend recorded it)! This is an employee going ABOVE and BEYOND with the customer service at Skyline. While I didn't love the cinnamon notes in the chili, or the interesting combination of flavors, it was nothing that a little hot sauce couldn't take care of. While I'd give the food here a solid 2, and maybe a 3 for the funnel fries, I give the attention to training around customer service a 5! Good old 3-way with 2 coneys... Can't go wrong, and pass the hot sauce and crackers!!!!

I have been craving chili lately, but too busy to make it. I live a very short distance from the Fairborn Skyline Chili, but have never eaten there. So, after a day of running errands and Christmas shopping, decided to stop and pick up dinner. I went through the drive-thru. Not seeing just chili listed, I asked if it was possible to just get a bowl of chili. The person on the end of the "speaker" said "yes", so I asked what sizes. He said, " regular." (What?!) So, I asked, "How big is that?!!!"‍ He finally answered, "cup, pint, or quart." (Okay, we're finally getting somewhere!) I ordered a pint and asked if I could have a regular hot dog, plain, also. Picked up my order and headed home. When I poured the chili into a bowl to heat, I was flabbergasted--the "chili" was nothing more than a messy "paste." No beans, chunks of meat, or anything else. It was too disgusting to even taste. All I could smell was a weird cinnamon smell. So, into the trash it went. Well, feeling thankful, I would at least have my hot dog to eat, imagine my bewilderment when I opened it to see a child-size hot dog! Only 3" big! Have never in my life seen a hot dog that small! This is one of the things I miss out no longer living in Ohio. Skyline Chili is a staple of the state, and even though it comes in cans out West where I live, it isn't the same. I order the spaghetti 5 way with onions and beans - look at that mound of cheese! You can't even tell there is spaghetti in there. OMG! I have never had a better "fast food" experience anywhere! The food...the atmosphere...and most of all the employees were on point! The restaurant is spotless and constantly being maintained. I like the open kitchen because you can see everything going on back there. You go into some of these shady burger joints and have to wonder if the 16 year old on the burger line had a fight with his girlfriend and is making booger filled burgers. Not here. This place is immaculate! The food was great. Love the coneys. Love the 5 way. Loved the burrito. Love the chili. Period. The employees are seriously the best part of this place (which is saying a lot!) Everyone was so nice!!! The manager (a young man) was incredible!!!! He greeted us from behind the counter when we entered. He checked on us personally and even gave us a welcome bag (complete with crackers, a coupon, and a full size bottle of hot sauce) since it was our first time. I had no idea how to order, or what was a "3 Way" (I was too embarrassed!) But during my college days in Cincinnati I quickly became a veteran. This will probably be one of my only reviews for a fast food chain. I've been to several Skyline restaurants, but this one is the best. At another location in the Dayton area, it took so long to get a drink refill that I walked behind the counter, got it myself, and got back to my seat before anyone noticed!! This location however is clean, friendly, has good parking, an a way of understanding a customer that is surprising for a full service fast food place. Drink refills are frequent and waiters/waitresses ask if you want refills, more crackers, or need anything else. The management is up, visible, and interacting with guests and employees. One of the managers even knows my ordering habits so well he corrected me when I forgot to say no cheese. (And REALLY I'm not there THAT often!) Oh, and as for my dairy problem, I am pleased to report that I can tolerate the wraps without cheese (even though I've never gotten confirmation if their is some dairy in the wrap or not). Do be warned though that most of their menu is not dairy free. I just like the wraps. I'll leave the "chili" to hubby. read more

On a good day this is a 4 star restaurant. If you've never been to a Skyline, you should try it. This location does it right. The Chili Spaghetti and the Coney Dogs are the main attractions, add toppings as desired. Watch out for the hot sauce; it hotter than most. The fries are half way between Steak n Shake and McDonalds. They will get your order right even if you specialize it. They'll get it to you quickly, dine in or carry out. read more
