Awful. Prices are terrible. I came in and was waiting in line for quite some time cause no one was on line working. They made my bowl and when getting the steak a majority of it fell off leaving about 5 pieces of steak on the bowl so I asked for some more. When I go to pay they tried to charge me for double protein and I say I didnt ask for double she tells me it is what it is. That was my main issue but the 2 women who have no teeth are very rude and had an attitude while taking mine and other peoples orders. I had been trying to go vegan, and their location was an ideal place for me. Due to my work schedule, I frequently have to go later at night usually after 8:00 PM. One night I stopped by to get a vegan burrito bowl. As they were putting the brown rice into the bowl I heard a sound, which I dismissed. However, when I got home and started eating it, I found that the rice in the bottom of the bowl was completely dried out and chewy. When I brought this to their attention, the following day, they were unwilling to do anything about it. I don't think I was being unreasonable. I have contacted the company through their website and left messages on their answering machine. They have not responded to me at all. Staff was friendly, so nothing against them. However, the price for what you get isn't a good value. They seem to have decreased portion size, they actually have a digital scale on the prep counter and weigh everything. The amount of chicken and cheese that came with a normal bowl was disappointing. So, for fast food "Mexican" Hot Head Burritos is really good. I like Hit Heads most times over Chipotle because of their sauce choices, try the Hot Head sauce, and they steam the burritos. I will say meat quality is a little better at Chipotle but other than that I do really like Hot Head. You can choose between bowls, burritos, mini bowls, quesadillas, and tacos. I do like that they have a point system and you can earn Hot Head bucks. Another nice point is the quality and consistency from one Hot Head to another is pretty darn close. You can also have your burritos toasted which is an interesting twist now and again. If you are looking for quick, easy, lunch that will fill you up and not cost that much Hot Head is the way to go. read more

Don't ever come here! I come to this location all the time and they are usually very nice and friendly. Today, when I first came in, I was greated with a "What do you want?" in a really mean tone. I just brushed it off because I thought maybe she was having a bad moment. I ordered a few things and she immediately insinuated that I wasn't going to pay for anything. Ordered a walking taco with no queso and shredded cheese instead, which she charged me for and also charged me for the taco sauce. I didnt mind paying for it, but her attitude was so nasty the whole time. "Make sure you ring her up for that" like I wasnt going to pay...I should have walked out then, but just brushed the rudeness off again. When I order my bowl, I usually say "guacamole I know it's extra" just to let them know that I know and I don't mind paying for it. She said "Yes, it is!" In a really nasty unprofessional tone. Food is very, very good taste-wise. I've been eating at Hot Head since the first store opened on Smithville Road. However, portion consistency is all over the place. Once in awhile when I order a regular burrito, I get a normal sized regular burrito, but more often than not, I get one that is barely larger than the mini sized burrito. I've even received a burrito that was supposed to be the regular size that was smaller after being rolled up than my son's mini burrito. This happens at other stores occasionally, but seems to be worse at the Beavercreek store. I've never felt like Chipotle has ever been stingy on ingredients, but it often feels like Hot Hot is being stingy. Why not try to err on the side of pleasing your customers rather than making them feel cheated? read more

We got a coupon for this place and figured we'd give it a try being avid burrito lovers. This place wants to be Chipotle so so bad but they really don't even come close. The set up is just like Chipotle, but they have a lot of different options for sauces and you can add banana peppers or jalapenos. We knew before we walked out that the quality was just not going to be there. We got a chicken burrito and a carnitas burrito along with chips, salsa, and guac just to get a good over all feeling for the place. Portion sizes are smaller than the competition, the meat is not as flavorful, and it seemed like the guac was store bought and not fresh. The portion of chips was small and they were nothing to scream about. The worst part was that they charged extra for pico salsa on the side! If I got it on my burrito it would have been free...just silly. We brought our food home and after eating the food I felt like I needed to wash my mouth out with some Chipotle just to make it right. There seems to be potential, but it just was not as good as the competition. They offer a punch card for a free entre and seem to have a lot of deal day gimmick, but pricing is comparable to their competition. I don't think that I would go back here even if we had a coupon. Living right in the middle of Chipotle and Hot Head, I would choose Chipotle every time. I will say that the service was fine and going in on a Tuesday night, there was no wait. read more

It doesn't allow me to select 0 stars so unfortunately I had to select one which is one to many stars to this "place of business" or so they call it. From the second My husband and I walked into the door until the second we left. Absolutely horrible. We had never been to Hot Head Burrito before so as we approached the counter we informed the employee just so. Now you would think that they would try to make our experience easy and offer any help or suggestions needed right? WRONG. The employee just said "pick what you want and let me know when you're ready." So my husband and I scan over the menus a few more times and finally decide what we want. We were rushed through the line like we weren't important. We paid for our food and sat down. My husband wanted some more salsa so I went and asked for it he handed it to me without a word. I go to sit back down and realized we don't have napkins so I approach the counter to ask for napkins (since they weren't placed anywhere where I could get them myself) the employee says "now what do you need." After handing me a few napkins before I can say thank you he says "are you sure you don't need anything else, you've been up here 2 times" in very rude and irritated manner. This did it for me. You are a place of business that requires you to provide the utmost customer service to your customers. I felt like nobody that worked there Enjoyed their job and every single one lacked even acceptable customer service skills. This place is pretty good. There are other burritos in town, and honestly I like them all, but Hot Head does stand out in a couple ways. First of all I would say they get a whole star just for their Sweet Habanero sauce, which is amazing. They have a lot of choices for customizing your order in terms of sauces and stuff, and they have a pretty good rewards card that you can fill up to get a free entrée.
