The other battle is reading reviews to match your selection. We had a good vibe with the gentleman who came to present the business. After making the selection, it was easy to select days for the work to begin. They were flexible and upfront what to expect. A professional folder was given and discussed. We were informed the project would take 1-3 days. The information was clearly outlined what to expect, what needed to be done before the work started and a contact number to call if there were any questions or concerns. So far so good right? It gets better. The day the workers arrived, they did a fantastic job covering our furniture with heavy plastic, laying out coverings for the pathway walking on, and covered all working areas as much as they could. We did not do any of these things... so glad! Ceiling dust everywhere... which is why you need to cover it everything ! They helped do the job. We had about 4 working men and the job was done as expected! Thank goodness! Highly recommend! If you ever see a bad review, then I'll love to send you to the point of contact we recommend! They did a service call later that day which revealed that the board on my furnace was bad and needed to be replaced. They put in a temporary fix which allowed one of my 2 thermostats to directly control the AC for the entire house until then. Monday roll around, they came out and replaced the board which took a few hours. After being told it was done, there was still no air coming out of the vents. I communicated my problem and the next day, the owner had another tech out investigating my issue which revealed a slightly different issue than what it was originally believed to be. They got it figured out and got my AC working. They also came back the following day just to further troubleshoot and make sure they had the issue fully resolved, then also fully explained to me what was the issue and the steps they took to resolve it. I felt like they took the effort to make sure my issue was resolved properly. I stand by any business that values customer service. I recommend these guys!

Looking further, more of the galvanized had pin holes so ended up replacing another 60' or so. The price ballooned to $2300, took them about 3 hours. Felt seriously taken advantage of. But wait, it gets worse. Apparently while they were in my attic running pex they kicked the air return duct work loose from the filter box. It took a couple months, but all of the duct work is now saturated with water as is the plenum. And, I have some new stains in the ceiling as we did not know water condensate was running off all the piping like a mid-summer night's thunder storm. Getting the A/C guys engaged, it became clear that pulling 110 degree, humid air from the attic into the A/C unit will do that. Before anything was done, I clearly told them I was the paying authority and needed to approve the cost before any work was performed. Instead, they went ahead and did the work without authorization, then tried charging me an outrageous $230. When I questioned it, I was told they "don't fucking care" and threatened with a lien on my property. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I understand paying for legitimate work, which is why I still paid $180, but no company should perform work without approval and then bully customers afterward. If there is a trip fee or inspection charge, be upfront about it like every professional business does. Customer service, communication, and professionalism were nonexistent here. I will never use this company again and would strongly recommend others get pricing and written approval terms upfront before dealing with them.
