This was the completion of my bucket list and I done it on my 49th birthday. The experience was nothing short of amazing and I had 2 of the best divers to make this experience worth while in my photographer/videographer Sarah filming the experience and my instructor Ross. They made me feel so comfortable to I wasn't at all nervous from beginning to the end. I highly recommend it and I will go back for another jump.

Oh my goodness, What an experience. It was my first jump and I had THEE best time. My instructor was Ross and he was AMAZING. He had years of experience and shared his passion and love for what he does. Ross was very thorough with instruction, very confident, and made me feel so comfortable I hardly had any nerves about jumping. I had such a great time it was so much fun, and I loved it. This was my first of (hopefully) many! Thank you Ross & SkyDance SkyDiving!

Wow and wow. What a great experience start to finish. I explained I wanted a bucket list experience and I got one. The team was amazing and friendly always keeping my safety and comfort as the priority. Brian was great at keeping me informed and helping me schedule my first jump. He paired me up with Jorge "Jello" to tandem and Curt Vert to take video and pics. Everyone on the plane with me was super kind and supportive and made it easy to want to be just like them. I got the footage, I bought the T-shirt and I even took advantage of the return jump offer. Why not?! The rush was real but not nearly as gut wrenching as I'd imagined. I'd give more stars if I could. I can't wait to go back!

Everyone on the SkyDance team was kind and welcoming! As a first time jumper who was very nervous, I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Ross is a real one, I'll be back for round two!

If you want to sky dive this is the place to go! Great safety record. Very nice community here. Clean restrooms. Professional and respectful instructors. I booked a tandem 18k sky diving jump for two people. The process is very smooth. Booking online was easy. They have an electronic waiver and a safety video online. You can choose to pay in full or just the deposit of $50 online. Tip: There is a 3% surcharge for credit card. So it may be worth it to pay only the deposit online and pay the rest in cash or with debit in person. I paid $773 for two 18k tandems because I paid by credit in full online. The price listed in the office for 2024 is $365 for the 18k tandem. Rescheduling is also very easy and no hassle as long as it's before 48 hours of the original appointment. Follow the link in the email. When you reschedule you can actually see the availability for each time slot. If you choose a time with less people you will likely be on the shorter end of the 1.5 to 4 hour time frame. We arrived early around 2:45pm for our 3pm appointment and were completely done by around 4:15pm. (Note we were the only 18k tandem appointments for the 2pm and 3pm time that day.) We had Jack and Jorge. Both instructors were great! Very respectful and listened to what we wanted. You have a choice of the full suit or if you only want the pants. If you don't want to pull the parachute or steer that's okay. They'll do that for you and you can just enjoy the ride. Jorge really helped put me at ease because I was nervous. The plane is tiny. The solo fun jumpers will probably be in there too. You may practically have strangers sitting in your lap. But everyone was nice. Fist bumps all around before they jumped. Tip: If you wear glasses you should wear contacts instead or take off your glasses entirely and not jump with them. The goggles they give you are very tight. My glasses were smudged from pressing against my eye lids. It was a bit uncomfortable. To pop your ears plug your nose and blow. That will help with the discomfort. I wish I had known that during the free fall when it was the most uncomfortable. Tip your instructors! They have Venmo QR codes posted and also little envelopes for cash tips. These folks really deserve it! At the end we were given certificates, stickers, and a coupon for the next sky dive. The coupon is only valid the day of your jump. You must purchase it on-site right after your sky dive. The coupon is about 50% off. So if you really enjoyed sky diving it's a good deal since it doesn't expire. Great experience at SkyDance! If I were to sky dive again I'd definitely come back here.

    Happy people!

We had an amazing experience from start to finish! BIG thanks to the awesome team, Brian & Josh were great instructors, & Kurt for capturing it all with such a creative eye. What a way to kick off my first skydive! Can't wait to jump with you all again! Yea! Joy! & Reid

Amazing place to experience the sky knowledgeable staff beautiful area and fun experience for all

An instructor teaching a student about skydive landing patterns!

Skydance is awesome! I started learning to skydive here at the beginning of 2023. This place has changed the course of my life for the better in so many ways! Shoutout to my favorite instructor Sarah!!! If you're looking to get into the sport this is the place to learn! Expert instructors, friendly staff, and an amazing atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend for a first skydive or student program!

I had an amazing time learning the great sport of Skydiving via SkyDance. Brian was a great instructor, friendly guy and cool looking Santa. I didn't have any expectations going into it, really just enjoying the moment and beauty of Davis and surrounding areas, and Brian and the rest of the staff helped ease any worry or nervousness. The only thing that was an issue was my ear hurting during my time being the air but after a few yawns and wiggling my cheeks, the pain went away. One of the many good parts of my experience was that I met another girl who came solo, and we had a great time hanging out and plan to go Hot Air Ballooning soon. If you're ever into thrill seeking adventures, check out SkyDance!

    Stunning plane!

My 77yr old Dad wanted to check skydiving off his bucket list. He was scheduled for a morning jump, the weather was perfect, calm and clear. The staff was laid back, casual, and extremely professional! Dad jumped tandem with his instructor, Ross Vail, super nice guy with tons of experience under his belt. We arrived early and were hanging out at the picnic tables and got to see Ross (his instructor) pull up for the day on his bad-ass Harley, so cool! Everyone made Dad feel comfortable, pumped up and really special. The other jumpers in the plane that day were so kind as well as my Dad's videographer, Curt Vert. Even fist bumps all around before each & everyone jumped! Dad was the only jumper in our family that day and they let us go through the whole process with Dad all the way up until his walk out to the plane. It was such a high for him and an experience of a lifetime. SKYDANCE SKYDIVING was PHENOMENAL, THANK YOU ALL! And, if you are reading this and are thinking about jumping..........DO IT!

This is jack! He's so dope I can't put it into words. He help me leave my fears, anger, and hurt in the sky!!

I will be back..from the front office to the hanger this place help ease my fear. Jack is the best even along with my guy who jumped from 18k with sandals. I totally appreciate this place for helping leave my fears, resentment, and anger @ 13k!!! Thanks a bunch

Our instructor was John-Felix, although he goes by John. My son is 22 and fairly athletic, so I figured that he'd enjoy it. What I was less prepared for was how much I loved it! It is a fairly expensive hobby, although, if you're on-site after paying for a session, they have more reasonable rates if you want to buy additional sessions. Since we don't live locally, I didn't indulge in one of the packages, despite the temptation. They walk you through everything clearly and there's a brief training class in a classroom after which we waited our turn on the perimeter while we were called up one at a time. Each "flight" was approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds and we each got two flights. We all passed on the high flight option, but during our second time they walked us through how to begin navigating in the wind tunnel during our turn. That was my favorite part! I found it fascinating feeling the degree to which small modifications in the angle of my hands or the extension of my arms changed my position and movement in the air. I felt like a bird. The flights are brief, but memorable and meant to resemble the length of time usually experienced during a skydiving jump. We didn't pay for the high flights, but we enjoyed our experience nonetheless. Our instructor was encouraging and helpful. At the end, he did a quick demonstration of the types of tricks that can be done with training, all sorts of spins and flips! Already considering when we can make it back again. * Word to the wise, my kids both have long hair and they both ended up wishing they'd had it tucked into their suits since it got significantly tangled and required quite a lengthy communion with a hairbrush afterward to get the tangles out. I think a braid might also be a good option.

I initially asked the staff whether he would qualify for a special needs or disabled flight at a future visit because I honestly didn't think there would be room or that it would be possible. They immediately reassured me that he could fly, and I figured we'd come back another time. Then something really special happened. Even though Lex doesn't attend the same school as my daughters that were there on a field trip (he goes to a different school with a special education program), the school approached me and offered us an extra spot. I said yes, not really knowing what to expect. From that moment on, the staff was incredible, kind, patient, gentle, and completely accommodating. They treated Lex with dignity and enthusiasm, not hesitation. He got to fly twice, and he absolutely loved it. When he finished, everyone clapped and cheered for him, and it was one of those moments you don't forget as a parent. I can't say enough good things about the experience. If you're a special needs family and wondering whether your child will truly be included and supported here, the answer is yes. I highly, highly recommend iFLY.

I couldn't stay silent about this. I love adventures, and if you're like me, don't waste your money and time. John said he would email us the night before to confirm the jump, depending on the weather. He sent the email confirming the jump, everyone knew it would be drizzling. It was a long drive for all jumpers (2-3 hours), and when we arrived at the confirmed location, he spent the entire time trying to convince us not to do the adventure. He kept saying it would be cold (today is 12/28/24 it was 52 degrees in Placerville) and wet (really? You knew it'd be drizzling since yesterday). And he said it wasn't dangerous and he has experience in all weather conditions...but since we were all women, apparently we were too weak, right John?! He asked if we'd be okay with the weather and all the women (four jumpers) said we'd be fine. However, he apparently wasn't happy with our response, so he continued trying to dissuade us. The guy with him, Ludo, was really cool, uplifting, and professional (Dude! If you're reading this, go start your own business; you're great). Anyway, after everyone reassured him about the weather, John asked me if we could talk privately. He then expressed his concern that I might not be able to do the adventure because I'm on the "heavier side." Just to clarify, I'm a 5'7" woman, 140 lbs, and very active. When I unzipped my jacket he goes : "-oh wow, you got a flat stomach, but you know what?? Are you sure your friends would be ok to be out there in the cold with you?" (I had two guests with me) With the other woman, he claimed she didn't have the right clothes and continued to discourage us for over an hour. Even when we said we were ready to go and do the jump, he said he'd cancel it. Furthermore, if you didn't know, he doesn't have a permit for his "adventures". Be careful, don't trust your life to this guy.

They thoroughly answered any questions that my group had and were continuously asking if anyone had any questions or concerns. My group sprung for the whole picture, video, and GoPro packages and it was absolutely worth it! The GoPro in particular was able to capture our exact reactions when we fell and is a great way to look back on such a unique memory. (But as John warned, do not let the GoPro interfere with being aware during your jump). One of my group members has a history of back problems so they recommended going with the body harness instead of the ankle harness we all paid for. She immediately got her money back and I was reassured that I could switch harnesses if I ended up chickening out of the ankle one. However, I am so happy I went with the ankle harness as it truly felt like I was flying during the jump. You may choose to go forward or backward and let me tell you it is terrifying to turn around on the railing but definitely worth it!! The location we went to was breathtaking and peaceful. I cannot wait to return to jump again!

I'll start from he beginning cause there's alot to unfold in this review. We met up at the Napa Valley wine train at 5:30 am. Don't be late cause a few people were and we were waiting on them. They give you your itinerary and you sign a waiver , and the. You meet your pilot. They drove us in their vans to the take off point which was off the train track. See the video, it was amazing. I was worried that the wind might be to much fir the too lift off, but they said if they can't, they have alternative locations. Once we got I'm the air it was very smooth and very relaxing. There we about 20 people in our basket. Not alot of room, but keep in mind your not going to move around in the balloon basket . We rose up in the ir and went where the wind took us. After our pilot explained everything to us we were confident he knew what he was doing . He even took us inside a hillside where we were able to get close to some trees . Landing was pretty smooth. They picked up up with their vans and drive us back. And this is where it goes from 4 stars to 5. We purchase the champagne package which I highly recommend. We got to share a bottle of champagne with our pilot and he told us all about the first hot air ballon, which was way before airplanes , and explained to us where the name Pilot came from. Overall , it was a great end to a great experience and I highly recommend it .

We the weather being so unpredictable we had to wait. I was fine with wait because i do value my life. I had the chance to cross off a major item from my bucket list. A hot air balloon ride and wow, what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking. Floating high above the landscape, seeing everything from a completely new perspective, was truly magical. The sunrise was especially beautiful as we drifted along, and the silence up there, broken only by the loud occasional burst of the burner, was unlike anything I've ever experienced. That said, there were a few things to consider. The heat from the burner can be overwhelming, especially if you're not prepared for it. I didn't wear a hat, and I really wish I had and i am short 5'2 those blasts of hot air can get pretty intense when they hit you directly! So, if you're planning this trip, definitely bring something to cover your head. The landing was a bit of a wild ride, too. The ground was much harder and more uneven than I expected, and we didn't quite know where we'd land until we were almost on top of it. Also getting in and out can be extremely challenging. It's hard climbing into and out of the basket and it's very tightly packed. Not a lot of space to move. I knew the risks going in but the whole experience was so worth it. Even with those little surprises, it was absolutely incredible. Would I do it again? Definitely not! Despite the heat and the bumpy landing, the beauty of the experience makes it all worthwhile and a one timer for me. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable to add to your list of adventures. Just don't forget your hat!

I did get cancelled on a few times, I was at first annoyed, instant gratification junky, but then realized they have no control over the weather AND safety comes first. That earned my respect right there. We met at the site at 6 am, not 6:01 or 6:12, 6am or before. Temperature plays a huge role in height and duration of flight. On time and safety are expected and delivered. At 6 sharp the ride started with tip over training, safety, and a brief roll call and waiver check and explanation. Important stuff! The balloon is beautiful and the pilots wife makes sure there are plenty of pics, she's super sweet and helpful. Takeoff is a bit disorienting, part helicopter, part jump. Once you hit the sky though, it's amazing. It is such a great feeling to float. Tim has a great sense of humor and can tell a story with gusto... between bursts of fire into the balloon. I have no idea how high we were but cows were hard to make out, they were that small. The morning couldn't have been more perfect. The landing was a bit bumpy, our training came in handy. Jarring like an old truck indoors a rough road, easy. As we waited for the truck to come and get us Tim gave us a wee history lesson on ballooning, with a champagne toast. I've been smiling all day. Independent and local, experienced and a perfect way to fly. Highly recommended is an understatement.
