I broke my laptop about an hour before the store closed on the night before my last year of law school started so I was in a panic state as a customer in these moments you want to feel taken care of and like you're in good hands, but the two employees who I interacted with, could not have been any less helpful or efficient. I ended up choosing a laptop replacement that was used so all the sales associate had to do was literally disconnect it from the display, and he wasn't even able to do that which feels fairly standard at this job. he then let the loud alarm go off when he tried (unsuccessfully) to detach the computer from the display for about five minutes and had to ask someone how to reset a computer all things that I feel like are very basic tasks. He also seemed really fried and could barely articulate himself. I then went to the service bar to see about getting my old laptop screen fixed, and the guy literally just referred me to a Micro Center, which ended up being a great experience, but like you would think he would offer to help or at least promote Best Buy repair services he was so unfriendly and unhelpful. overall, the service in this place is just a complete joke.

Spent 4.25K, and they price-matched. The customer service at the time was excellent, and I felt like if anything went wrong with the TV, they'd have our back, unlike big box stores. Four months later, the TV won't turn on right in time for the holidays. While searching online for a solution, I realized there is a massive problem with the 77-inch Samsungs, especially the S95D (Best Buy said two of them died on their showroom floor). There is enough of a problem that a class action investigation is underway (link below). When I went to the store, the manager greeted me with "I saw your email," and yes, my email was angry. What else would you expect? You sold me an item that literally is a lemon. All the goodwill, and we're locally owned blah blah went out the door, and it's basically - hey, nothing we can do - sorry you're irrational. I was also told, Hey, we've never had any customers with multiple issues with the One Connect Box, so of course you'll find that when you search for it! It was the most flippant attitude I could have gotten, and it's OBVIOUS there is an issue with these 77-inch Samsungs, yet instead of just being transparent, they said, "We ran it up the flagpole." As an authorized Samsung dealer, I'd hope they'd have more pull to help their clients. I will never purchase an item from here again, and I recommend you never get a Samsung with a One Connect Box - they will break within 3-4 months. You might as well go to Best Buy, Costco or whatever beacuse in the end there is no power as a consumer at any of these places, and these guy's will say sorry, file a ticket with Samsung and then it's on you from there. One of my 20' XLR microphone cables failed while I was doing a remote recording session...scratches and crackling from a short circuit. I brought the cable to Elman for repair. He found the problem and fixed it. The "extra mile" was his applying heat shrink to the soldered leads which has two benefits: - stabilizes the leads against strain, and, should they get pulled again, prevents them from touching and should prevent electrical short circuiting. This attention to detail is all too unusual in today's marketplace. Kudos to Elman.

It had restarted so many times that some security feature was preventing all logins. First, they had to solve the login problem by cracking Windows security. Then they ran diagnostic tests that revealed RAM faults, requiring a new motherboard. In a few days, the new motherboard arrived, and now the computer is back home and working perfectly. This is the same sort of experience I've had before with the Computer Technology Center, so I was not surprised. Their office is open--they don't take your machine to another room. They'll do the diagnosis right in front of you. If the repair is simple, they'll make the repair while you watch. This openness gives one great confidence in their work. The price for the work was very reasonable. I hope I don't have another computer failure soon, but when I do, there's no question where I will go.
