This company only cares if you are a new customer. But be ready once you become a loyal customer…read morethey will keep raising your bill and lowering the loyal customer discount (which by the way you have to call every 12 months to get it renewed). Its almost impossible to reach someone and when you do they keep saying they understand you are frustrated but there is nothing else they can do. So be ready to have your package go from $100 to $170 very quickly. Oh and I have the stream service which means for it to work i also need internet so... See their comment to see how much they care.

I will never do business with them again and will be sure all my business associates are aware as…read morewell. I canceled my service due to the excessive and unjustified monthly charges, including being billed $193 per month for a single premium channel (HBO). When I previously contacted DIRECTV to request a discount, I was told none existed. Yet the moment I initiated cancellation, DIRECTV suddenly offered a $60 discount, a discount that was intentionally withheld until I decided to leave. This practice is misleading, inconsistent, and demonstrates a clear lack of transparency. Despite canceling on 9/22/2026, DIRECTV immediately disconnected my service, but is still attempting to bill me through October. It is unacceptable and unreasonable to shut off service the same day and continue charging for weeks of service I cannot use. I am not under contract. DIRECTV's refusal to prorate charges, combined with inconsistent information and immediate disconnection, is not only poor customer service, it is an unfair business practice. I will be returning the equipment as soon as possible and making sure everyone I know about the poor customer service and unfair business practices for customers that were with the company for years. Terrible service

I went in today and had an absolutely amazing customer service experience with Genesis. My personal…read moremodem stopped working shortly after the warranty expired, and I wasn't able to purchase a new one right away. I went to Cox expecting to have to buy a replacement, but Genesis explained my options and showed me that I could use a modem through Cox for only a $15 monthly fee until I was able to get a new one. What impressed me the most was how she took the time to review my account and show me ways I could actually save money. She explained everything clearly and demonstrated the changes in a way that was easy to understand. She was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on helping me find the best solution. Customer service like this is rare, and Genesis is a great example of what outstanding service should look like. I truly appreciate the time and effort she put into helping me today.

Games, lies sunshine communication but don't follow through just pure complaisant! they do not…read morecover any details yes you will be surprised when you get a bill :) they are good at wanting your money :) Do expect when you call the number from previous bill you will be passed around from one person to another numerous of times on the phone when you call the actual number on the bill expect to be passed around from dept. to dept and more departments. So you know what everyone dealing with them that is more than F***ing frustrated! with Cox do get name badges get confirmation numbers and do know they "keep notes" on what they wish to say regarding the situation so you do the same :) ask for a "recap" on agreement go as far as even asking to see the profile if you go to actual location and if you choose to go by their word expect you may get disappointed after. For example the notes when I called the number of the main actual co. you will find on your bill they noted: I declined tech insurance well NO! the employee never mentioned anything about an tech fee so I was charged $100 for a tech coming out. I followed all the directions on the phone I watched the tech I did everything as I was directed to do by phone so yup games! they could have tuned it on that day but why should they when playing dumb is best and charging me $100 for 5 min of a tech coming out is best? Also do know when you call the number from your previous bill they quote different price points then when you actually go to the store nothing is consistent! so you know what since they wasted my time I think people should know get details don't EVER! take any employees word for it at the end of they day they or course are suppose to smile and be nice they just want to get through the day and sugar coat you. They are two stars for a reason :)

They raised their minimum speeds, initially, I was on a 50Mbps speed, but my last speed test showed I was around 80-85Mbps. This did come with an increase in my monthly bill (from $50 to $65) and there is now a fee ($3) that I'm not sure what it is for. Value - The price per Mbps is good. Based on the numbers above it was about $0.75 per Mb. Compared to Cox which offers 50Mbps at $50 is $1 per Mb. So it really depends what you need the internet for and if you prioritize value or overall cost. Service - When I call Century Link, I'm usually on hold for 25-35 minutes when I call in the morning. I couldn't use their website to perform what I wanted so I had to call, but there is no call back option. I also did not have one of my signals when I got set up initially. One of the cross box connections was wired incorrectly so I was only getting one signal. It took a few visits from a technician to figure it out. When I check their website for internet plans, I see there there are two options for a monthly price of $55/month so I don't know why I was paying $68/month, but I wasn't even offered that when I wanted to cancel service. Also be aware that if you cancel one day after the start of a billing cycle, they will not prorate it. You will need to use their service for the remainder of the cycle even if you already have a new provider.

I've been unable to work for three whole days, THEN Century Link tried billing me for the whole month! When I tried chatting it made the bots lose their minds so I was told to call where I got caught in a hellish AI loop where they just kept repeating to me that owed them for a whole month. By the time I somehow got a real human I was beyond angry. If there is a better or similar provider in your area avoid this company like the plague
