I am giving 5 stars for John and Kevin's exceptional care and customer service during install. Kevin was very careful and respectful of my home. I can't help but remember the countless times a cable installer has come into my home and scuffed up my carpet or dented my furniture. Kevin's care has raised the bar for cable install. John was knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. My main concern was that I wanted to make sure I could sign into the Directv app as many of my neighbors have had issues with that. He walked me through each step and provided effective trouble shooting solutions. Anyone else would have just thrown a textbook answer at me and insisted that it would work. John went beyond and provided a demo of basic functions. I had mentioned that I don't watch a lot of TV . This was SO helpful to me as I am embarrassed to say I don't know how to use all the new functionalities of the modern remote control lol. He also walked through upgrades and it surprisingly didn't feel salesy at all. Just seemed like he was recounting his favorite features. You just don't expect this level of service with a cable installer. Kevin and John were both exceptional brand ambassadors. If these two were out selling Intech service, I can't imagine anyone ever saying no. read more

I have only had this service at the apartment complex going on for a month and a half and with in that time frame, there has been multiple outages and today in the middle of business related efforts, they decide to do " upgrades" to the area without even saying anything. I'm glad I do not lay for this directly and it's part of the complex because it's been horrendous service from the start. Do not recommend. Go ahead and pay for this to be deleted. read more

I'm giving INTECH three stars. However, it should be noted that their cable installer, Kevin, deserves 5 stars and accolades for his commitment to the job he does installing new service. INTECH couldn't ask for a better brand ambassador. They better hope he never leaves. The Good: I was so impressed with Kevin after speaking to him briefly over the phone prior to subscribing to DirecTV that I insisted he do the new service install. I work from home and can't afford to have my internet disrupted. I was transitioning to DirecTV from Cox for cable television, but keeping Cox internet service. It had to be done right. Kevin answered all my questions, provided set-up solutions that made sense for my situation and spoke with confidence so that I was reassured there would be no service interruption. Kevin showed up on time, completed the install without incident, answered all my questions, was thorough, and didn't leave until everything was working. He's pleasant to speak to and genuinely cares about his work. Why DirecTV: I had been a loyal Cox customer for well over 15 years. Their cable and internet service was always very reliable. They seem to stay on top of technology trends. They are typically very responsive on rare occasions service is disrupted and they have 24-7 customer service. Their cable television user interface and voice controlled remote control feel easy to navigate, for the most part. Why sever a relationship with a known commodity?--they are expensive. Really, really expensive. Cable and Internet was costing $260/mo. and that didn't include a single premium movie channel. Canceling their phone service 6 months ago saved us 80 cents/Mo. Cox made zero effort to save the account. Moving to DirecTV for cable and keeping Cox Internet lowered the bill by $100/Mo and the change included premium movie channels. The Bad: INTECH feels like a small operation with resources stretched to capacity so I knew even before making the transition there would be compromises. And I knew I would feel them right away but these days $1,200/year savings isn't insignificant. My initial call to INTECH to inquire about service was never returned. I called THEM back about three days later to inquire about new service. INTECH has jurisdiction over our condo community so there are no other choices. When a company acts ambivalent about making a sale, I get very, very concerned about they level of effort I can expect when I call with my first service issue. Given their service is a two-year contract, it's a real risk and leap of faith. Personally, why they didn't call back is immaterial to me -- it's inexcusable and shakes confidence. Kevin ultimately restored my confidence; I sensed he really cares. But I also realize he's an installer and likely won't be around for service issues. Megan ultimately handled all my initial sales inquiries and did a fine job addressing my initial concerns. But calls often roll over to voicemail and that's not typical for most relationships in the cable and internet service industry. INTECH isn't staffed 24/7. That gives me pause but losing cable television for a few hours is survivable, losing internet given my vocation is not. If DirecTV was selling internet, it's not likely I would have given them that business based on my instincts that I'm likely to experience some service frustrations during the next two years. DirecTV: Some of my concerns with DirecTV also aren't technically INTECH's to resolve. They are simply a DirecTV reseller. So..... I knew I was going to miss Cox's voice activated remote control. I just didn't realize how soon. Try instantly. The DirecTV remote doesn't even illuminate in the dark so it's imperative to memorize the layout and now every search and command has to be manually entered. I can't emphasize enough how awkward this feels after simply being able to say, "record Forensic Files" and the Cox user interface responds accordingly and it's done within seconds. And the DirecTV Onscreen Guide also looks like it belongs in the dark ages. There are endless and confusing menus, and sub menus and the text is so difficult to read I'm already squinting. Nothing about the DirecTV remote or user interface is intuitive. I knew that would be a difficult transition and, regrettably, it is. I've seen this exact interface 15 years ago when visiting family with the service. It's astonishing to me how progress just seems to have stalled. I truly hope DirecTV recognizes these flaws. The two year journey begins. My fingers are crossed that service interruptions and minimal (or at least happen during INTECH's limited business hours). And I sincerely hope DirecTV introduces new remote control options and UI improvements -- I'm not holding my breath. I hope $100/Mo is enough consolation and that this doesn't degrade into a "you get what you pay for" agreement. At $260/Mo even Cox is grossly underperforming in my estimation despite everything they do well. read more

I don't know why there's such bad reviews with Intech as I have had such a great experience with them! Leo and John were both so helpful for me and saved the day when I had issues with DirecTV Corporate. Leo solved my issue within an hour and within half an hour, John was at my door installing my new boxes. If you need any kind of help, Leo and John are the ones to go to! read more

Very poor communication. Took them 5 days to get back to my quote inquiry. Should have been a red flag. I Paid the $75 that the customer service ask for to get a technician to come out so I could get a quote.. 5 days later, still no quote and the phone goes unanswered and then sends you to voicemail.. read more

Wasn't impressed. Sent a new tech out and ended up costing us more in the end because took him longer than what it should have. I don't think Id use em again. read more
