Ok food is good but not the best lately, the price was $78.00 with added 2 salads 2 soups and crab Rangoon added to last 3 dishes added! Now the hours online are not accurate they are only open for 4 hrs 5 days a week from 4:30-8:30 and they get swamped with orders during that time and could be up to an hour or more wait and don't call before or after they won't answer! And only to go no more inside dining.

WOW! What a trendy, yummy, friendly spot. Considering I just came from Miami where I had sushi and seafood daily I am happily surprised by the quality of the sushi here. The Houghton Snow roll specifically was even better than some if not most of the rolls I had in Miami. Even got my relative who has not had sushi before to try this place and he loved it! Highly recommend

Brand new place in Houghton and an awesome addition. Finally real sushi here! Had two apps and three rolls; all were delicious. Quick service, reasonably priced, and each dish was prepared very well. This place is really small and they do not have alcohol/wine, which had me considering docking a star ... but the quality of the food won out. Will be a frequent customer.

My parents own a Japanese restaurant downstate in the metro-Detroit area, so I grew up eating lots of sushi. When I moved to the UP to attend college, I was beyond disappointed with every place I tried, even though many people have told me those places were "really good!" (they were very bad, actually...) Anyways, I was very skeptical when I heard a new sushi place was opening in Houghton, but I was also excited to give it a try. I knew it would be a hit or miss, and it ended up being a hit for me. The sushi rice was perfectly prepared, the fish was actually fresh, the shoyu ramen was very flavorful and filling, and the food was overall very delicious! The atmosphere is clean and cozy, and the servers are all very friendly. The prices are the only downfall, but to me it's very minor. You have to think about the demographics, and how expensive it is to have certain ingredients ship to the UP (especially the fish, it's not cheap). A little pricier than other Japanese places, but definitely worth it and still affordable. From their grand-opening day, I ate here every time I visited Houghton (from Marquette), so I was sad when I saw they were closed for a few months! But I hear they just opened back up, which means I will be coming for some sushi next week!!!

Very good sushi! Haven't tried anything yet that I don't like. Sometimes take out can take a long time (45 minutes), but it's worth the wait. I wish they would label sushi for take out and put them in individual containers because we usually order for multiple people and have a hard time figuring out which is which and some people have to eat from the same plate.

Good to have Japanese cuisine in town.

Ramen is very good and is a must-try item. Sushi is freshly served and taste very good 10 out of 10.

The sushi was great amazing along with the presentation. The restaurant is small so I would get here early but the wait is worth it.

The food and the service were both great! We were there thanksgiving weekend and they had the…read morecutest Santa hats fitted onto the backs of their chairs. Food took a while to come out and only one dish at a time. For our family of 6, that meant that most people's food would be cold if you're waiting for everyone to be served before you eat. While waiting for the food I was mesmerized by the sweets being made on the TV. Only thing I would change is I would recommend they get a heated space for dishes to stay warm while waiting for others to be made. No one felt comfortable eating while others were still waiting for their food.

The place: Inside, there's room for maybe 15 people? There…read moreare some tables that have half-booth seats (one of my favorites), a couple floating tables and a couple full booths. There is *so much* original art. On the way to the bathrooms, you can see some lovely sketches of cats and chalk art on the walls. My favorite art piece is three lucky cats holding up a colorful fish; it makes me smile so much. The location: From the outside, it looks like it would be a counter service fast food place, but don't let that fool you! Teriyaki Bowl shares a parking lot with the Starbucks and Game Stop. It can be a little tight, but we've never had a problem finding parking. The food/drink: - Thai tea - sweet and refreshing. You can order with boba if you like, but just ice was good for me! - Eggplant lover stir fry - this past trip to Teriyaki Bowl, there was a special that featured eggplant. I have a weakness for eggplant and this did not disappoint. The sauce was flavorful and the eggplant was perfectly cooked. I had a choice of protein, so chose tofu which is cooked so it's beautiful on the outside and creamy on the inside. And y'know, white rice isn't anything special often, but something about the white rice was perfect for what I was craving. It was truly perfect. - Ube cheesecake - taken to go, the cheesecake was swoon worthy. It was a perfect portion. Highly recommend. ***I had a 3 spice level on my first visit. I'm not a slouch (I don't think?) when it comes to spice, but 3 for me was just on the edge of discomfort. A 2 spice level was *perfect.* Don't be afraid to be humble because they are SERIOUS about their spice. The service: Lovely. It's very clear that Teriyaki Bowl is a popular Marquette staple, but that only enhanced how impressed I was that we got personal attention. Everyone we interacted with was cheerful, kind, and welcoming. Next time: I need to get something with noodles. I had a chow mein before and loved it, they're a must have.

It's tucked away inside the Masonic Square Mall on the main street, which I hadn't noticed before. Apparently you get an hour of free arcade play with the purchase of a bowl of ramen, but the arcade games were not our thing, and the pinball (one machine) did not appear to be included. Oh well, at least I found really good food here. My husband and I shared the vegetarian Miso Shitake Ramen (with gluten free rice noodles subbed for the ramen noodles, and egg on the side) and vegetarian Shitake Gyoza, and both were delicious! I was intrigued by the Nihon Chaat summer special, but I feared it might be too much food, and it probably would have been. The interior is small and filled with arcade games, so the seating is right outside in the mall area (still indoors). There is table service, though, and the server was super nice and helpful. I hope this place makes it despite their slightly hard to find location, because the food is really good! Highly recommend!
