I forgot the name of my pedicure but I picked a $67 one. I asked for a gel pedi (white color). First of all the dead cuticles around my toes weren't completely removed. From the chair I could still see dead skin. The pedicure itself was very soft, too soft for my taste. The white color is difficult to work with - I know, but this is such a popular choice there should already be an expectation. I had to ask for a third coat of the white cuz I could still see steaks and the shade of white wasn't opaque enough. Not sure if it's because he's a guy but they should be able to notice that. If I see it, they should see it. I see they have a lot of good reviews so I guess to each their own but I personally wouldn't come back again. Not the worst experience but not worth the drive for me or the money. I drove about 35mins because of the reviews so this was a miss for me. I will advise that it's best to call a few days in advance as appointments book quickly and ahead of time. They snuck me in at the lastish minute for a pedicure, and left enough time to add an upgraded one with relaxing scents (lavender or eucalyptus or something). They were careful with my big toenails that never completely regrew to the nail bed (don't get ingrowns, kids). My pedicurist even redid an edge of my big toenail when I was a doofus and smudged an edge en route to the dryer. Now my feet are much, much smoother, my toenails are all cleaned up, and my toenails match Mom's Oldsmobile. (Hey, it's only fitting for Mother's Day weekend.) I'll definitely be back!

Sera Nails - checked all the boxes in my book. AND funny enough - they have just changed owners. I was surprised to find this out as I randomly needed my nails done and headed here after work. The new owners used to own Hyacynth Nails in Rocky Hill and it was my random venture into Sera Nails that lead to this discovery. Yes - my nail tech did not speak much English but she did a good job and even changed my gel color when I realized after the first coat that I did not like it. I also loved the mini massage and paraffin wax at the end - extra touches that will make me revisit Sera Nails in the future!

I was on the fence about…read moreAnnie's, mainly due to my concern that I have very short, damaged natural nails and I wanted to be sure that the nail technician will do a good job in applying fake nails. And I also had reservations about the prices at Annie's. I was looking for a full set of gel nails. Annie's suggested 2 options - a full liquid gel nail or powder gel nail. They described the liquid gel as more durable and a longer lasting solution if I intended to maintain the fake nails. This is where it got a little tricky for me to decide if I wanted to pay $90 for the full liquid gel nails or opt for the less expensive $50 gel nails. I went with the more expensive option and was not disappointed! The amount of care and detail that went into creating my new nails was something I had never experienced at a nail salon before. Although it took 1 1/2 hours to apply my nails, the time and money spent were well worth it! I've never had fake nails look so good and last so long! I just went back for my first "fill" and, again, the technician took the time to make sure the nails were perfect. I have been to several nail salons in Glastonbury over the years and have never received the excellent service I received at Annie's! Just be prepared to pay for the excellent product you are going to receive.
