I have been a long time client since 2021. When I found SkyNails, I was met with great quality work, kindness, and genuine and exceptional care for all my needs. I have done every kind of nail I could think of, acrylic, gel, gel x, dip, manicures, pedicures, and pretty much every length and variety of designs over the years. But, nothing can surpass the genuine care Phong and his crew have for his clients. Just recently, my mother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She fought for several months and was in the hospital for her final days. She requested to have her nails and toes done in pink before she went to be with the Lord. I messaged Phong asking if he would consider coming to the hospital to fulfill her request and he did not hesitate to come through. He and Van showed up at the hospital that same day and with so much care, they did my mother in law's nails and toes. She passed away the very next day. This place has become more than just my nail spot for me, it is now a very special reminder of what it is to go above and beyond. Their genuine kindness surpasses anything I could have ever imagined in these past five years of service and I will be forever grateful and a loyal customer. I contemplated writing this review because I don't want it to negatively affect the business as a whole, but what I witnessed bothered me enough that I feel current and future clients should be aware of it. I came into Sky Nail a couple of days ago and received my nail service from Kevin. I have to give him credit--he was mostly professional, attentive to detail, and worked quickly. However, I specifically asked for a builder gel fill, and he attempted to use acrylic instead. I felt like he was trying to get over on me, but I decided to let it slide. Overall, I was very happy with how my nails turned out. Unfortunately, I also ran into Tom, a nail tech I've had issues with in the past. When he owned his own salon, I left an honest review about an experience where I felt he was at fault. Rather than taking accountability or addressing my concerns professionally, he responded sarcastically, 'Hope you can find a good chop shop that will do your nails.' I found that comment pretty ironic considering he now works at what he once referred to as a 'chop shop.' What ultimately prompted me to write this review, however, was the behavior I personally witnessed during this visit. Tom was servicing a young woman when he walked over to my nail tech and asked in Vietnamese, "Do you think her breasts are real or fake?" Later, as the client was leaving, he made another comment to my nail tech and said, 'Her body is so nice, I'd work and give her all my money.' Mind you, this was being said about a paying client who had just been sitting in his chair. What made the comment even more inappropriate was that this was coming from a married man. I understood every word because I am fluent in Vietnamese. Regardless of whether an employee believes a client can understand the language being spoken, discussing a paying client's breasts and body while she is sitting there receiving a service is incredibly inappropriate, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Clients should be able to walk into a nail salon without having sexual comments made about their bodies behind their backs--or directly in front of them in another language. Speaking in another language in front of clients in a way that excludes them from the conversation can also come across as rude and unprofessional, especially when the conversation is about the clients themselves. In this situation, it allowed inappropriate comments to be made openly while assuming the client would not understand. Overall, Kevin was great, and I was happy with the service he provided. What made the situation even more disappointing was that the owner was present and appeared to hear the comments being made, yet I did not see the behavior addressed or corrected. Allowing sexual comments about a paying client to go unchallenged reflects poorly on the professionalism of the salon. I hope Sky Nail management takes this seriously because clients deserve to feel comfortable, respected, and safe while receiving a service. read more

I've been coming here since they opened in 2020. The owners and the staff are so friendly. I either make an appointment or walk-in. The prices are good for the quality you get (especially compared to San Francisco). $100 will get me a regular pedicure with hot stone massage and callus remover. Plus a gel manicure with cateye design. (You can spend less if you don't opt for the extras like I did :) ) I wasn't able to get photos of the nail spot today but they recently redecorated. Freshly painted white walls and new light scones. (Before it was baby blue with a white chandelier in the front) These days, I don't go anywhere else in the Vallejo - American canyon area. Tommy is my go-to guy, I followed him from Vallejo because he is the BEST manicurist I have had in years.
