On a whim, I decided to get a spray tan two days before my wedding because my skin had a weird reaction to my self-tanner I'd been using at home. I was nervous, of course, but the staff made me feel so comfortable and really listened to what I wanted. I was so impressed with my tan! It's been over 2 weeks, and it's still going strong, which is wild to me! I'm already a little tan naturally, but I wanted a deeper, more sun-kissed color. This business is the absolute best. I have super sensitive skin (even to waxing) and sugaring with Michelle as well as her knowledgeable guidance about my skin and products have solved ALL of my prior issues. I am actually horrified by the insensitivity of the very few negative reviews. I can't imagine being a small business owner right now AND in the middle of a pandemic. We ALL signed an acknowledgement about the 24 hour cancellation policy. I'm not sure why anyone would be shocked when they actually get charged. This business goes above and beyond the needed pandemic precautions and using it as an excuse to miss your appointment at the last minute isn't reasonable. Nor does it justify a bad review. A last minute cancellation is like taking money directly out of the esthetician's pocket that cannot be replaced. Their time is literally money. As for scheduling issues....I've never had a single hiccup and I've been going here for years now. They call, they text and they have a system that even sends you something so you can add your appointment right to your calendar. If you got rescheduled I'm SURE you got notified at some point since the system does it AUTOMATICALLY. It emails and texts you a reminder too PRIOR to your 24 hour window for cancellation. What more could you ask for?!? Not to mention, staff at Sugar+Lemon are trying to keep us safe too. If your appointment was changed, maybe they had a valid reason...like YOUR health. I can't recommend this place enough. The staff are always super friendly And the service they provide has been a lifesaver for me. Quick tip...it's almost summer so book WELL in advance with multiple appointments as these ladies get really busy. But they will bend over backwards to try and get you in somewhere if possible. Really upset from what was going to be my first appointment. I was recommended this place by my sister as she got really beautiful work done by Michelle. So, Michelle was fully booked and my 2 sisters and I managed to schedule our appointments back to back with Caelynn a week in advance. We don't live in town, so we drove 25+ mins to our appointment and we arrived 10 mins early before our first 3:15PM appointment. We sat there and waited until the young lady at the front desk decides to tell us (at 3:25PM now) that Caelynn will not be able to come to our appointments since she is having car problems. Now, I don't know if there's much prep time you should do prior to the appointment, but if she was going to not be able to make it, she could have surely communicated about this way before the time of the appointment? Was she getting into her car to get to us at 3:15PM even though your clients are waiting for you already? Completely unprofessional! The front desk then asks me if I can come back at 7PM. I don't have the time or gas to do that since I don't live there and I also let her know I have a trip that same night. She apologizes and lets me know she will let Caelynn know if there's something she can do for us once we're back. HAVE NOT heard anything in 3 weeks now. She missed out on 5 services with us. We leave and on our way back home with tons of traffic, we get a call from the front desk. 3:43PM "She's here now if you guys were still interested in coming in." Absolutely not! Are you kidding? Why call me if I said no. I don't live down the street and that is the only time I had for an appointment I already mentioned that to her. If I were to go back, I'd only go for Michelle. Came here for a Brazilian a week ago since I had some tropical trips planned. I've tried waxing before when I was in college but hated how painful it was. I then heard about sugaring and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! Still was a little painful, especially in certain sensitive areas but nowhere near the pain that I experienced from hot wax, which can hurt the skin! The only reason I won't be returning is because they are overpriced by at least $20 which I find significant. I looked at at least 5 other Brazilian sugaring prices in other salons close by and none of them were charging over $60. My Brazilian came to $90 with tip. Just got home from my session with Amber. It was my first time ever getting any hair removal process in the bikini area (other than shaving) & I went full on Brazilian on the first time. I walked in & looked around at how nice the decor is but the all around vibe feels really comfortable (which was huge since I was so scared & nervous) Was offered some water which helped calm my nerves a bit & I loved how warm & friendly the girls were. I sat in the corner like a scared puppy & im sure they could tell but they were so welcoming it didn't take long for me to loosen up a bit. Walking into the room was a little scary & I was nervous all over again but Amber really went above & beyond to make me feel like it was a friend who was sugaring me. She explained everything in detail which made me really understand & I am pretty sensitive so it was all very reassuring. If it's your first time & you're scared or it's taken you months to even book an appointment (as it did for me) just do it, it's so worth it. I will never do anything but sugaring ever again. I want to sugar my entire body now! Is it fun, no. Is it as horrible as you're making it out to be in your mind? Absolutely not. Of the few times I patroned this place, I had nothing but great things to say about my experience. Now, disappointed is an understatement. When my appointment was changed without my consent, I called to notify staff and cancel the appointment, I was told I would be charged. When I questioned it, I was confronted by Caelyn. As a customer, it shows poor business conduct, and had no choice but to stick up for myself. I was later sent a passive aggressive message saying the fee would be waived and I was no longer welcomed back to the establishment due to my behavior.
