My stylist is Cecilia - BEST CURLY HAIRSTYLIST EVER!! That's saying something!! My color is always right - my cut is always right - when I leave my hair looks amazing and it stays that way until my next appointment. When I moved to Napa It took months to find someone like her - I kept looking at people with curly hair and checking out the hair cut. I saw a great cut and asked who was the stylist. It was curly hair and the cut was amazing which is difficult with curly hair. With some research I found Cecilia and have been going to her since. She is booked so I make appointments ahead - she was so worth the wait!! I can't say enough good things!! Cecilia is talented and technical which matters!! Since COVID-19 has completely thrown us all off our regularly scheduled hair care, I was able to get an appointment with Shine through Terra, the owner. As it turned out, I landed with Cecilia who graciously fit me in. It has been 6 months of faded out blonde highlights and I was hating my hair. Cecilia squeezes me in and did an amazing job on a full Head of super blonde highlights. She probably used 200 foils to get me back to looking human again. She did an amazing color job and trim. I booked a return appointment and can't wait to see what she can do adding some lowlights to the mix. read more

I was lucky to find Cecelia at Shine Salon, she specializes in curly hair like mine. She restyled my layered shoulder length hair, and my second trim looked as fabulous as the first cut she gave me. I have been to Shine Salon before for my eyebrows and I had a great experience with Amanda, she is lovely. This review is not for her. Today I stopped by to see if they could cut my son's hair, he is 3. I was not expecting anyone to drop what they are doing to get him in, we were drop ins but frankly stylists were sitting around and because he is a young boy they looked very disinterested and said they were booked even though they clearly were not. It was a terrible and rude experience and I will not be returning. Luckily the Sala Aveda salon up the street were so fabulous and accommodating, I will take my business there in the future. read more

Nothing but rude people when we walked in the door. Walk ins welcome the door says. One lady gave my mother a price for a hair cut, but the moment I walked into her view with a tattooed arm, we were asked to leave because they were to busy. Two workers at the time, and the shop was empty. I run my own business, a construction management company with blue print services, and never have I treated any of my clients with such disrespect. Very distasteful and disgrace to a service company. They told us to go down the street a couple blocks. When we go there it was a fully tattooed hair salon. I would recommend that one with a five five star since they treated us as equals and with respect and not on what we looked like. Grow up people we are in 2013. read more

Reference for Mercedes Angelo and Amanda Krueger I was recently married in Napa and had the privilege of having Mercedes do my hair and Amanda do my make-up and I was thrilled with the results! Since I am in So Cal and didn't have the opportunity to do a trial run with Mercedes and Amanda, I wasn't sure what to expect. Tracee is not only kind and personable, if there is a problem with a new color we experiment with, I can message her and she will fix it ASAP. I work in a retirement community where several times a day I manage a dining room. The Shellac helps keep my nails looking clean and neat, while stylish and fashionable. I started going to Shine Salon about a year ago, and I started seeing Shaina Cook who I absolutely feel in love with, she is very attentive, listens to my wants and knows my hairs strenghts and weakness. I highlight my hair every 6 weeks and it is very long so I have to be careful that I don't cause unnessary damage or stress, but you would never know it looking at my hair, its lush, full, shiney and healthy I believe all that credit goes to Shaina a talented stylist who genuinely cares and takes her job seriously. I feel completely relaxed in her chair knowing that my needs are being addressed and my wishes are being listened to, and my hair looks amazing! I only wish I could afford to see her everyday!! OK I am so mad, but only because I didn't find Shine before the other salon totally messed up my hair. After going to two other salons to see if they could fix the disaster this one lady did to my hair, in both cut and color, Terra not only took time to talk to me on the phone and really listened, but she cared enough about my sense of frantic urgency and fit me in quickly. Now my hair looks presentable to wear down again which I didn't think was possible. If only I found Terra before the butcher got a hold of my "in the past" long locks, I would still have healthy hair that took so long to grow and a great shiny color. I LOVE Nicci! Not only has she been a friend since like middle school...but she understands my crazy curly thick hair and does a fan-tab-ulous job! Excellent cut and color with Nikki. I wasn't sure at first bc she seemed very young and was not a big talker, but she did a great job. My hair is long and very fine, but thick, so cut is not always easy. She nailed it, and the color job was sublime. I do not live in Napa, but I would definitely make the trip just to have her do my hair again. read more

I have been going to Tonya at the Arrangement for about three years. Tonya Jacque is a genius. I came to her after having really inconsistent color done in my kitchen for a couple of years. Not only did she fix my highlights so I look like a natural blond again, but she somehow makes it so I only need to get color 4 times a year. How does she do it?!?! Furthermore, her haircuts and styles make for glamorous and easy-to-care-for looks. I recently decided to go for a change and have her cut bangs into my long locks. She made it look like they'd been there for years and I have gotten nothing but complements on my adorable new fringe. Finding this salon was easy. Parking wasn't an issue. The staff was polite and friendly. I made a same-day appointment with Brooke, who was nice enough to come in a little early to fit me in. So far so good. I have fine stranded, really thick, wavy hair with long layers that was a little past shoulder length with blunt bangs. I just wanted a couple inches taken off, but the over all style kept. Meaning, long layers. I even discussed this because if they aren't long enough, my hair gets fluffy on the bottom and flat on the top, due to the weight and texture. Brooke listened and spent a good while cutting my hair, using thinning shears at the bottom. I didn't notice anything being an issue and left with my hair still wet because I let it air dry anyway. When I got home and hopped in the shower to rinse off the loose bits of hair, I realized that one side of my head was a whole inch shorter than the other. I called the salon and spoke with Brooke directly, and she said I could come right back and she'd fix it. So I did. When I got there, she looked really bored and tired, ie not pleasant, and apologized for me 'having to drive back down town'. Whatever, though. She fixed the lopsidedness and I left. After wearing this haircut for a while now, I am dissatisfied. It does indeed get fluffy on the bottom and flat on the top, above my ears. I think it is because she thinned it so much with the thinning shears and did not cut steep enough layers. Now I need to find new place to get an appointment as soon as I can because this cut is just that awful. If it had been a good cut, I may not have put such a low score, despite the lopsided beginning. However, the cut isn't good or even what I asked for, AND I had to go twice for an even cut. I'm not sure if it was an off day for Brooke, or if that's the norm, but I will not be going back to her, or the salon for that matter. read more

I thought I would try this salon after reading all of the positive yelp reviews and let me tell you I am so thankful that I did. My stylist was Lisa and she was just fantastic! She was able to tame my long frizzed out mane and transform it into silky, glowing, locks. Not only is she awesome with hair and very experienced, she is a wonderful person that I could chat with all day. To me this was the most delightful salon experience I have ever had. This review is for Julie at Shine Salon. I went there for my first ever eyebrow was and underarm wax. I was so nervous about the whole waxing process. I have very fair skin and pretty sensitive skin as well so I did not know what to expect. Since I was getting married soon, I wanted to try it out a few weeks ahead of time in case I had any sort of reaction. Well, I had NO reaction, Julie took very good care of my skin and reassured me about the whole process. I went back to her for a touch up before the wedding too.
