I see I'm not the only person but I booked an appointment based on their times - planning to leave work a little early. Later in the evening I get a text asking if I can come in earlier because she had something come up. Based on the availability when I booked my guess is just didn't want to wait around. Not an auspicious beginning -I'll look elsewhere. read more

I booked an appointment on Vagaro for the next day (per dates/times they posted!) and got lots of warnings about not cancelling under 24 hours. 30 minutes later my appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I called. No one answered. I left my phone number asking for a call back. No one called back. This couldn't have been a worse first impression! Although, now reading some of the other 1-star reviews, maybe it was a blessing in disguise. read more

Just moved to the area, so had to find the right stylist. It's scary when you had a great relationship with someone for years and move away. I got lucky. Worked with Amanda, and she did a great job on my grey hair, so I was getting compliments for weeks after. Thanks! read more

I ran into Rose last week at my business. We chatted and she told me she was working at Amplify. I arranged a "Long overdue NewDo"! The shop is cute, kinda chopped up into little rooms and cubicles. Kinda a Winchester House experience. Lol!! Rose greeted me and I showed her a photo of what color scheme I would like. Wow! She nailed it perfectly. Now comes the cut. I must admit, when it comes to my hair, I always think I know best and prefer to stick to the SAME OLD THING? Well, Rose saw a vision and took me out of my comfort zone in a good way. It's shorter, playful, a bit messy, and I thank her for lifting my 60+ spirits today! Seriously a great experience! Ps....She's not cheap but worth every penny. read more

I have been looking for a stylist for almost a year in Napa. I went to a few places and tried several people. I finally found her!!! Her name is Rocio! I am naturally blonde and decided I wanted black hair. A mistake I will never do again. After 2 years my hair is finally back to what it looked like before. On top of it, she gave me the gorgeous angled bob haircut I have been searching for. I love the color and cut of my hair now! I am so excited that I found someone who not only listens to what I want (I am a very picky person with my hair) but also responds to what I say as she is cutting and remembers. They also give you beverages as you get your hair done. On top of it, I was a little late, and she was so kind about it. She is a jem! Thank you for my beautiful new do!!! And just in time for the wedding I'll be in, in just a few days! read more

Rocio did a great job updating my long graying hair into a modern mid-length bob with wispy side swept bangs. I received compliments on the cut within minutes of leaving the salon. Highly recommend. read more

I wanted to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding and called this salon because they were close to our hotel. Marie did an absolutely beautiful job with my makeup and blowout, and helped me make sure my small headpiece looked perfect! I don't wear a lot of makeup so I showed her some examples of what I thought was pretty and she worked her magic... I felt so beautiful for my special day! read more

I made a haircut appointment for myself and made an updo appointment for my mother. The person who took my call, Amanda, failed to put me on the schedule, even after stating that she cleared the time slot for my appointment. This review will not be based on Amanda, but on Summer. Summer was scheduled to work on my mother's updo and she felt bad about the incident and offered to do my hair. I felt really bad that I would mess up her schedule or take away from my mother's updo and I declined her offer. I was more worried about my mother and her updo then I was about my hair, frankly because I hate my hair. Summer insisted and I was honest with her and told her how it made me nervous to have an updo , because I had fine hair and I was never able to style it for fear that people may notice my scalp. Summer comforted me and reassured me it was all going to be okay. I have to say, she did an amazing job not only on my hair but my mother's hair. I never do my hair and my mom wanted me to feel and look beautiful at the wedding and Summer just made it happen. What I didn't tell Summer is that I cried a bit after she did my hair, because I felt beautiful. Something that I hadn't felt in a long time. What I didn't share with Summer was that I've just been battling getting over a divorce and through all the sadness experienced through this loss, I lost myself. Little by little I'm starting to move forward and discover self love. Summer, thank you for making me feel comfortable and for bringing out a light that was lost in all the darkness. I will def be making a stop to see you again from Hawaii. Lots of Aloha to you! - Jenn read more

Rocio is literally amazing on blondes. No joke. She did a partial highlight on me. I had a year outgrowth of roots and she made me back to the blonde I've always been and more. I showed her a few pics of what I liked and they are SO comparable to the photos. I don't see any banding, any spots, just amazing blonde hair. Not to mention she's a doll and so easy to talk to. If you're a blonde in need of some serious TLC then go to her. read more

Marie is amazing! I came in with a picture and a video of the style that I wanted and she made it happen. She is so nice, funny, and personable that the time (3 hours) flew by. I had to assure her that I really did want it that short, and platinum, and she made sure to give me the cut I wanted. She even helped me with every day styles that were more toned down. Now I have the perfect sassy cut and color. I can not recommend Marie highly enough! read more

I asked for an inch to inch and a half max off my length. She cut off much more than that, 3 inches!! the experience also felt rushed as if she were in a hurry. Sadly, I will not be returning. read more

2020 strikes again! First impression when you walk into this place is how chaotic and poorly run it is. It's dirty and lacks basic sanitation (which is bad in a normal year for a salon but even worse with a pandemic). Trash is overflowing, no organization, smells off, and the people there are just screaming across the salon at each other (not even work related stuff). One time I heard them yell at each other from a different room about twerking... I like to have a good time at work but there's a line. Now on to the haircut/wax service: This was my first time (and definitely last time) trying this "salon". I read decent reviews and it is convenient so I had hoped for a better experience. I made an appointment because the county is likely to close salons soon. I was made to wait for 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin for my haircut. Its nearing the holidays and so I was patient but still annoyed. My biggest issue by far was the outcome - My looks worse than if I had gone to a sports clips; it really looks like a child's haircut. I feel so ridiculous now. I know hair grows out but until then I have to walk around feeling like people are looking at me like I cut my own hair in lockdown! I expressed how dissatisfied I was and I didn't get as much as an apology. All she said was "if you still don't like it in a week let me know and I can try something else." I got an eyebrow wax also and one is noticeably thinner than the other. If you're looking for a new salon I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. No pictures of me this holiday season. read more

I have been here a couple of times to color and cut my hair. Amanda D. Is really a great stylist but the atmosphere at this salon is bad. In the Times I have been there I've heard them talk horrible about customers, about other co-workers( obviously behide their back) and about other salon they used to work at. I think it was Studio B. There is no professionalism. As a former customer I love the stylist work but not the atmosphere. Eventually this attuide could affect their busniess. If you don't mind hearing gossip it's the perfect place to get your hair done. P.S. they are also very territorial with customers. read more

EVERYONE! Hey. I have been going to Amplify for the past year and although Amanda Dunn usually takes care of my highlights, she wasn't in today and the very lovely (forgive my spelling if it's wrong) Rocio took me in right away. THIS WOMAN. It's like being pampered by your Bff. As someone who gets their hair highlighted I am always skeptical of who does my hair - I don't like big chunky pieces or copper tones. Obviously I'm a little demanding about my hair. Rocio took me in with "open arms" so to speak. She made me look UH-MAY-ZING. so sad I'll be leaving for school and have to look for another hair stylist. I might just have to suffer with roots until xmas break when I can come back to Rocio for the great care she gave me today. The best thing was - she asks you questions. How you wear your hair and what you like. Versus giving a "I know what is gonna look good so just let me do it." She takes into consideration your wants and ... In the case of hair, your NEEDS. GO MAKE AN APPT WITH HER!!! read more

Courtney has been cutting my hair for a years now and I've sent a few of my friends to her, as well. She always takes care of me and turns the chore of getting a haircut into a fun and relaxing time. She even loads up her spray bottle with warm water so I don't get sprayed with cold water on my neck! The stylists here have been working together for sometime and their teamwork shows. I've noticed that if one stylist has a question on the best way to do something, the others are happy to lend a hand or offer advice. The space is comfortable with big windows that let a lot of natural lighting in, there's plenty of convenient parking, and there's even a convenience store next door in case you need a refreshment! read more

I wish I could give Melissa zero stars. I went to begin getting my hair into a bob haircut. She layered the crap out of the back of my hair. It should have been tapered to create more of a bob "look" on the upper part of the back of my hair. There's nothing I can do with my hair until it grows out from her horrible haircutting job. I called the salon and spoke to a gentleman who said he was the owner and he was just plain rude telling me there's nothing he can do since the people rent from him. BEWARE!! Don't go anywhere near this salon or Melissa!! I'm still trying to get a refund for this horrible haircut. read more

Being new to the area, I was very skeptical about trying a new salon. I did a little research and made the decision to visit Amanda L for a cut and color. I'm not your average customer because I wanted to dye my hair purple.. I've never bleached my hair so I was nervous about that on top of trying a new salon. I am SO glad that I came here. My hair turned out to be beautiful and even faded into a light purple/silver. Everyone there was extremely friendly. And the prices are so reasonable! I give this place five stars all around! I will be coming back here :) read more

My hairstylist Amanda Liddicoet (along with most of the stylist from Studio B), recently moved to Amplify Salon. I've been pretty picky about finding a stylist and am happy I found her, especially after having gone to so many different stylist after we moved to Napa. Amanda not only gives you an awesome haircut but also does an amazing job at highlights. I usually just let her do what she thinks will look best on me and she does her magic. Plus she makes it easy enough so that I can recreate the look easily at home. She always asks you what you think before she does something to make sure you're comfortable with it and just all around genuinely cares that you are happy when you leave. Also, the new location is awesome, it has a homey relaxing vibe that makes you feel at home. I highly recommend Amanda Liddicoet and Amplify Salon! read more

I've had Courtney do my hair for a number of years and it's always perfect. She's very friendly and a pleasure to chat with while getting my cut. Takes around 20-30 minutes for a normal men's cut which is a perfect amount of time. My wife's been going to her for even longer and is always happy. I highly recommend Courtney. The salon itself is very nice and clean. You can tell they take pride in their workplace and it's a very comfortable environment. read more

My first time going on my friends recommendation. I loved my previous stylist but the cost was just too much for regular maintenance. I won't go into too many details but lets just say she accomplished everything I would normally have gotten in double the time and yet about 1/2 the price than my previous stylist. ROCIO was AMAZING, fast, efficient and the results were beyond my expectations! Will definitely recommend and be going back! read more

I wanted to change up my style, but I didn't know what I wanted since I have thick, dark brown hair that's difficult to manage. Amanda D. was so helpful! She found just the right colors to do a balayage/ombre effect going from dark brown at the crown to light brown at the ends. It didn't turn out brassy or orange-looking at all, and I've gotten so many compliments! She also gave me some advice on keeping the color nice for longer. I'll definitely be going back. The only thing that could be improved is if they would let you know in advance when a stylish only accepts cash/check or they should always accept cards, since it's kind of inconvenient to have to get cash or carry around checks. read more

I used to live in LA and went to multiple salons to get my hair cut. I just moved up to Napa and was looking for a place I could go to get my hair cut for a long time. Luckily, I found the place. I have just received the best haircut of my life so far. Joanna worked hard and diligent in cutting my hair. With the small amount of information that I gave her, she was able to cut my hair exactly as I wanted. I booked my next hair cut , and already recommended all my friends to come here. read more

The gal who did my hair was quick and really nice. She squeezed me in on a Sunday morning at the last minute and gave me a simple cut and sent me on my way. The one reason why I give it five stars is because I value her professionalism that while she was working on my hair she had her attention on me. Her motto is to focus on her client and not other people or calls. I've been to salons where my stylist will be taking calls and texting and going from one client to the next and that was just simply annoying! I appreciate the professionalism and great care I received that day that I'll be going back soon! read more

Not only is Amplify Salon full of some fabulous hair stylists but they also have Elizabeth giving UH-mazing manicures and pedicures! Alex has been doing my eyebrows since we were in high school so after she graduated beauty school I couldn't help but follow her to Studio B and now to Amplify! She has always done a spectacular job at making my hair look edgy but professional and I can not begin to write about all the compliments I get every single time I return from the salon! What I love about Amplify is that their location is central, everyone on staff is really welcoming and accommodating, and the new building and stations are more open and inviting. The whole team has done a great job and making their new location a success. I highly recommend stoping by! read more

Summer did my curls and eyebrows for NYE. I was very happy with the curls and eyebrow wax she gave me. Only hair stylist ever to not yell at me for washing my hair everyday. My curls stayed for 24+ hours so she did a wonderful job. She also gave me more of an arch in my eyebrows so they filled in very nicely. I would definitely recommend her for anybody's hair styling and eyebrow needs! read more

I absolutely love this place. I have never ever had a bad experience! ! I first came here terrified to get my hair cut short again. I had some awful experiences at other salons and was really really nervous. However, I talked to Kevin and he recommended JoAnna Lopez. She is absolutely fantastic! I have been going to her to get my hair done for a while now. She never fails to impress and I trust her completely with my hair. I will never go to another salon again. She's so nice, makes sure you get exactly what will look amazing on you, and is so accommodating! I trust her so much that I give her free reign with my hair. I can't wait until I can save up enough to have her do my hair again. I have never had so much confidence in my stylist and my hair. I recommend this place to everyone I know. read more
