Really liked the upscale (and pricey) look and had high hopes from reading reviews however was grossly disappointed. Way overrated. My stylist thinned thé crown of my head so much it looks balding and I have thick hair. I told her no texturizing and she ignored me. It's flat when I said I like it full. And worst of all there's a whole layer of crunchy dead tangled hair at my neck. Cost with tip $115. Was so awful. Will never go here again. My hair looks terrible. Looked better before the cut! (I don't want outside layers, would need to trim too many stragglers, or the polished look disappeared after the first wash.) I am happy and relieved to have finally found my go-to stylist, Peter S! My favorite hair care products, Kerastase, led me to Bloom Salon, which put me in a chair with Peter. He gave me a great cut (slightly shorter than usual) that looks good after every wash. Peter listened to my preferences and issues I've had in the past at another salon. He did an amazing job on my highlights. He took into account what I asked for and what he thought would look best. Worst hair appointment of my life. The amount of attitude and lack of professionalism was incredible. I have been a client for a while but to my surprise, when I voiced a few concerns with things that were likely not intentional with the last service in hopes of fixing them this time around, I was given a huge attitude. Additionally, the "stylist" rolled her eyes when I actually took the time to look in the mirror that was provided to look at my hair. A fake, rude, and entitled attitude from someone you are paying $200 for a hour service is, in my opinion, offensive. Advice: take some classes to sharpen your personal and professional skills. read more

I have been to this salon once before and was very happy with the experience. My second time was not so great. I booked with Peter and was sorely disappointed. I have very long hair and Peter told me during the appointment that he is not used to cutting long hair and all his clients in Arizona had short hair. He began by washing my hair where he put hardly any conditioner in my hair and then proceeded to brush from the top down, spending no time detangling the ends of my hair (if you have long hair you know this is a problem), when he came across any tangles he would just rip through them with a metal brush. I had asked for layers and specified they should be long enough to put in a ponytail. When he finished cutting my hair, I could not see any layers and said this. He made a comment saying, "You can ask for what you want, you know," which I had done at the beginning when we discussed the style I wanted. He brought up the layers slightly, but I only have layers within an inch or so from the bottom of my hair. It was obvious I wasn't happy with what he had done and he asked me what was wrong, I tried to explain the way he had been brushing my hair felt like he was ripping through it and probably breaking it. After I made this comment he gave me the silent treatment for the remainder of the appointment and then charged me the total $95. This is the worst haircut I have ever received. It is so choppy, and I have been trimming pieces he missed that are significantly longer than the rest of the week. He probably does great with short hair, but I wish I hadn't trusted him with my long hair. I have been to another stylist at this salon, and she was great, gave me exactly what I had asked for and was very gentle with my hair and never rude in any way. Had a 12:15 appt for cut/blowout with Sophia. Arrived 12:05. Waited til 12:30. Worried. No one greeted me or acknowledged me. I called the shop number, got recording. Talked to 2 women in chairs. 1 said had been waiting since appt at 11:15, the other just shrugged and said she didn't know what was happening. I decided to leave. Then Sophia who had been working on someone else, never acknowledged me, never said running late, be with you in a minute, nothing, approached me. Got my hair cut, blowout. I've been looking for a good salon and stumbled upon Bloom. Booked an appointment with Sophia and she was absolutely amazing, super friendly and personable but also an absolute artist with hair. It was a great and comfortable process with her and I love the end result as it's exactly what I wanted and more. I'll certainly be coming back to get my haircuts here with Sophia. Also Bloom Salon as a whole is very pretty, they have comfortable chairs for hair washing (no neck strain!), the employees in general are also very friendly :) . You guys!! The bloom salon is awesome. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating. I only had a short wait... but a few staff members came by and asked if I needed anything..drinks, etc.. I was impressed. Amber is absolutely amazing. Very friendly and easy to talk to. I came in with dehydrated, frizzy, dull, orangish looking hair and left with beautiful blonde, shiny, healthy and happy hair! She really listened to what I was looking to do with my hair and asked for pictures/ideas the day before my appointment to get an idea before I came in. I try to keep realistic expectations...but she went above and beyond! The attached before photos were the day before and the day of... and the attached after photos were from the day of and a few weeks later! My natural curls have never looked this good. The stylist I saw was Taylor. During the appointment was telling me about her son going to have his first date. And I'm not sure if she just rushed me or didn't wait long enough. Either way she under-processed my highlights and left me brassy. Then tried to tell me it would require a LOT of blue shampoo while blowdrying me. I've been doing this for 20 something years, it's not the shampoo. When I visited friends in TX, I hit up an Aveda salon and just about fixed it. I'll need one more visit. They do a required 40 some odd min of processing time. Perhaps, if your client needs more processing, then do it? read more

I was a bloom salon customer from 2016 to 2022. I moved out of state so have to find someone new. Bloom salon has a charming, comfy atmosphere. I will have a hard time finding a great salon and stylist like Ely Lopez from Bloom Salon in Napa. Ely did high lights and haircuts and always did such a nice job and listened really carefully to whatever ideas I had at the the time. It's been 6 or 7 months since I've gotten any highlights (haven't found anyone I trust yet) and I literally still have beautiful highlights. All the stylists did beautiful work on their clients but Ely is the best. Bloom can be pricey though especially if you add products but worth the price to feel great about your hair. read more

What a mess! The guy doing my hair had absolutely no idea to color grey hair dark. My roots turned out bright orange. Ti too it off, he tried to act like it was normal. My roots were half bright orange and half still white. It was actually comical. I would normally ask that they adjust the color, but I honestly just didn't want him to do anything more to my hair. He had put the color on and moved on to the next client... leaving the young inexperienced assistant to do the rest. Horrible experience, horrible place. read more
