Wuanita is my go to for professional service and results. So, have known her for years and recently decided to quit coloring my hair at home. I also needed a haircut. The salon is following ALL the rules per CDC and I felt comfortable going in. You do have to have your temperature checked. After a consultation on coloring my "red", that is two different shades with gray roots, I got a very cute cut exactly as I wanted! I went back the next week for my ash color blend. Am very happy with the results as red hair is a difficult one and my hair always pulls red. Am looking forward to my grow out. I'm always indecisive and Wanita takes the time to listen to what I want and offer advice and recommendations toward any new styles I'm wanting to try out. She recently moved the shop to a new location and I was blown away by how beautiful it was. It's not just the cut, which always makes me look great, but it's the service and kindness of everyone there that makes it a welcoming and fun place to go. I found this place through Groupon, I wanted to try it out so I purchased the Groupon's... deluxe treatment.. Haircut, deep conditioning, full highlights. for the cost of $49. The next day I called the salon/ Shelly Rivera for an appointment... It took her more than a week to get back to me!! When she finally did. She asked me how long my hair is, I told her long... She then started telling me that the Groupon is for only 2ounces of product, that if I wanted more, (like I purchased), she would have to charge me for it. She also said that She NEEDS to get the cost of her products. ... So I called her on the carpet for this!! I told her that I bought the Groupon and it did not state anything about charging more if more product had to be used. But it did state what I DID purchase... which is a HAIRCUT, DEEP CONDITIONING, & FULL HIGHLIGHTS!! I was flabbergasted when I realized she was going to charge me extra! And that she had NO intention of letting me leave the salon without am VERY disappointed with Shelly Rivera and her shop The Ultimate Look!! She stays current in all the latest styles and trends, goes to countless hair shows to keep up to date with product and technology. I mean the gal even accepts Apple Pay!! I purchased a Groupon to have my hair done by Shelley. I wanted dark brown and my hair came out red. She talks a lot about different products but never mentions if she is using them or charging you additional prices. By the end of the hair session I was there two hours and had the wrong hair color and she charged me an additional 60 DOLLARS on top of the 40 dollar Groupon! I was shocked. I have tried to contact her to fix my color or give me a refund because the color is awful. She has not responded to text, voicemails, or calls. She is very unprofessional and I would never recommend her to anyone. If I could give zero stars I would. I never write reviews but I feel people need to know how she is taking advantage of her customers and obviously doesn't care about fixing her mistakes. If you bought a Groupon call and see if you can get a refund or cancel. The worst salon experience I have ever had. read more

I went there yesterday to get a cut, and deep condition as purchased on Groupon. Instead I was sold Olaplex "at a discounted price." We looked over pictures and settled on a jaw length cut. She warned me that the cut would be shorter than what I currently had, and I explained that was fine I had, had much shorter hair before. She started cutting and all was well, or so thought. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! She kept cutting, and cutting, and cutting. I walked out with my hair basically at my ears, and all over about 1 1/2 inches long. Now I have a oval shaped face and she gave me the WORST HAIRCUT I'VE EVER HAD!!! AVOID HER AT ALL COST. Oh ya, and I got lectured at for 1 hour on how great Olaplex is......um ok. I wish I could say it did something, but she cut it all off. read more

I found this place on groupon and saw that Shellie Rivera had a good deal going on so I had messaged her about getting my hair cut and dyed. I was excited to get my hair trimmed and to get my hair colored. When I arrived she seemed nice and listened to what I wanted but it took 30 min just for her to get all her stuff ready and the dye ready. She dyed my hair and I love the color but she left hair dye on my face and asked her to get it off but didn't get it all and it was stuck on there. She started cutting my hair and all I said I wanted a trim so she started cutting my hair and it looked like she was doing a good job and then she blow dry it and didn't straighten it just left it all wavy and ugly so I didn't really get to see how my hair was but it took 3 hours for everything and waS late as is so I had to rush out of there with out looking at my hair and she charged me 124 for everything and I was shocked when I heard that amount when the hair cut and dye was suppose to be 39 on gropon. But I got the hair treatment that cost 45 so it should of been 84 total but she charged me an extra 20 for one ounce Extra hair dye which she never said anything about charging more or I would of had her not do it. And and then another 20 that have no idea where that came from but I didn't even realize that she over charged me until I got in my car so I had text her and called letting her no that she overcharged me and I didn't get anything back for a few days. I had to call the owner about it and she said she would let her no to call me but still didn't. And then when I got home I straighten my hair and just cryed becuase my hair was not even at all and she cut the front way to short and the back was longer and looked horrible. It was a diaster so I tryed calling her and finally answered after few days and told her and she said ya I overcharged u and that I can get the money and I been trying to get it for two weeks now and she never texts me back to meet or calls me or never answer the phone. I can't even wear my hair down until it grows and I just cryed for days and doesn't even offer anything or say sorry. I would not recommend her at all or this place. read more
