Was unable to use cash. Asked for a club soda and was told I could not purchase a club soda because they are only for mixed drinks. Then when I ask what mixed drink I had to order to get a club soda the barter said fine ill sell it you you if you really want it that bad. After i paid two dollars I told the bartender that it was for my pregnant wife she replied I should have told her that before I ever asked for the club soda. Good pub food at the Trenton airport. Pretty big inside and food/drinks were very reasonable. Only one person working so it took a while to get served, get our check, etc but overall pretty good experience. The club sandwich was okay, but the fries were the star of the show. I definitely recommend stopping here for food/drinks before you go through security. read more

WOW, what an unexpected surprise! My second time here and the food was really good and realistically priced. Ok, it's an airport so you can't have high expectations but so far the food has really been very good both times I've eaten here. I will be here monthly and I look forward to trying different options. The first time I had a delicious breakfast sandwich and This time I had the cheesesteak with onion rings (see pix). Unfortunately, the service is not as consistent. I am traveling alone so I usually sit at the bar. My last time I had a bartender, dark hair probably in her 40's that was awesome. Great conversations and she was extremely attentive to me and cleaning up my used plate... This time not so much. She was younger and pleasant but not someone who enjoys talking to her patrons and I know there wasn't a pleasant smile behind her mask. I asked for some advice and her personal recommendations on the menu but only got "It's all good". The only time she looked my way she did notice if I needed another beer but never bothered removing my cheesesteak basket and napkins. INCOMPLETE Sky Lounge was locked up tight when I walked into the Trenton Mercer Airport terminal at 10:30 a.m. Contrary to the hours posted on Yelp, I was advised by a friendly maintenance person that this day there were no flights scheduled until 4 p.m., so the bar and restaurant wouldn't open until about an hour before that. Thanks for letting me know, but there were no signs around upstairs nor down setting forth hours of operation. I can't be the only one who has shown up for a quick breakfast, only to be left abandoned and hungry because management was thoughtless about potential customers who might desire their services at normal business hours like those listed here. I may return another time, but it is doubtful. Why should knowledge of the daily flight schedule be required to have a bite to eat? I stopped here the first time I flew out of the Trenton airport. To be honest, I was pretty surprised that this airport has a restaurant at all, given that there's only one airline flying out of it. Thankfully, Sky Lounge was here and their menu had quite a few options to choose from. I went for the chicken cheesesteak which was pretty good. I got it with the pasta salad side which was a little lackluster. I think I'd probably do it with fries or whatever the other option is next time. This place definitely doesn't buy into the whole airport pricing thing- the food and drinks were all reasonably priced, a refreshing change from what you find at the Newark airport where restaurant prices are double what they charge right off of airport property. The Sky Lounge definitely has the best view of the airport if you're looking for somewhere to watch the planes take off. read more

Trenton Mercer Airport finally opened up a restaurant and bar upstairs. The food is your typical bar food. The place was vacant for a long time but since Frontier came back, there was a need to have some kind of food establishment. If you eat there, the burgers are okay and come with fries. Not sure of the other items on the menu. They do have beer and I think they are still working on their liquor license. They have two large screen TVs which will help when you are waiting for a flight or during a delay or for someone who's flying in. The view of the airport runways is fantastic with a good view of the control tower and businesses across the way. I heard they used to have weddings up in that space. They have free wifi as well which is part of the main airport too so you can sit there and check-in, browse or do what you do while waiting around. Stop by and give them your business. Parking is free outside if you can find an open space. read more

I visited the downstairs bar - and it's a snack bar at best, but considering the Trenton airport, it's 5 star quality. Decent size, TV's, reasonable prices on snacks, etc. The real kicker is that they have some decent craft beers available here. What's even better is the price. Under $5 for a pint while I wait for my flight?! Heck yes. Tables are a bit wobbly, which resulted in me spilling some beer, staff was less than engaged, and it's truly like a self service convenience store, but - given the location and size of the airport, and considering that it is the only option once you've passed security - OR - you sit in uncomfortable airport seats, this place is 5 stars. read more

Sky lounge operates both the dining area upstairs (before you go through security) and the small bar and snack area downstairs. I've only been to the area downstairs and the drinks and snacks are well priced. For snacks they have you're usual junk food as well as premade sandwiches and hummus. read more

My son almost fell from the table and she didnt ask how he was, she was annoyed because it interrupted her chewing on something while watching her phone. Decent enough bar food and great prices! Some kids options too. It is upstairs. You will not get any substantive food downstairs. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and it far exceeded expectations. The pork was moist, the barbecue sauce tasty, and the roll soft. We were happy! The fries and the wings were both good enough. 4 stars is definitely a strong review but when you're pretty desperate and a place fills that gap, I'm happy! read more

I fly out of Mercer often but didn't realize the Sky Lounge was open. You know - check in, drop off bag, go to TSA, sit and wait. It used to be a fancy restaurant and then closed down. We always juts grabbed a snack at the snack bar in the waiting area. It was a nice place to have a bite and wait for our time to go through TSA. Food was good, waitress friendly, price reasonable. TV and a bar if desired. There is an elevator if the steps are not doable and bathrooms right there. We will be more frequent feeders now. read more

We ate at the Sky Lounge at Trenton Airport recently. We were catching a flight to West Palm Beach on the airline that flies out of there, Frontier. We arrived early and were traveling with kids so we wanted to get something to eat. The lounge has the feel of a sports bar with a similar menu. They have a kids menu where kids can get chicken fingers , hot dog, burgers and fries for 5 dollars.... very reasonable. We also had a steak sandwich and fries and the " Sky Lounge fries " which had cheddar and bacon. The fries had real cheese and bacon in them which we weren't expecting from an airport restaurant. The steak sandwich was above par and was on a fresh roll. The waitress/ bartender was hustling and doing a nice job keeping the crowd pleased. They had a decent selection of draft beer and bottles as well. The Lounge overlooked the runway so it was good to entertain the kids with planes landing and taking off. Overall a good experience. If we ever fly out of Trenton again we will definitely eat here. read more

Recently, January 31, 2017 went there for lunch while waiting for our flight. We ordered our food, and after a half hour we asked the male waiter where our food was, he said" There is other people here waiting for food too, not just you!" This comment was rude! Very simple , I will go check out the status of it, or something more professional. By the time our food was served, we had to board the plane. Very disappointed that they hired a waiter like this. Neither bar nor airport lounge nor restaurant. This place looks like a snack bar in a bus station. It is poorly laid out, and service to the traveler is bush league at best. It is located in an inconvenient part of the airport at the top of steep stairs. The room in which it is housed seems to be part bar, part sit-down restaurant, and part standard departure lounge. These areas are poorly defined. In the "bar" area, there is no outside food allowed. This is certainly understandable for a restaurant, but there is no sign posted to let you know which part of this establishment you are in. Likewise, alcohol is not permitted in the "departure lounge" area, but no signage exists to define this area. Last week, I committed the cardinal sin of carrying a glass of beer over to sit in a comfortable chair whilst checking my email and having a sandwich I had with me. Immediately a member of the bar staff came to me and loudly and publicly shamed me for sitting outside the bar, and for bringing outside food into a restaurant. They were rude and treated me as if I were stupid for not knowing somehow that I had exited the "beer legal" part of the lounge. I would capitulate to ignorance in the matter, but the same thing happened two minutes later to another gentleman who took a mixed drink over to the same area where I was, to sit comfortably with his friends who chose not to drink, and received the same rude and thoughtless treatment. It is no fault of mine, nor of this other man, that this establishment cannot be bothered to sign the areas of their bar correctly. A simple sign reading "No Alcohol Beyond This Point" on one side, and "No Outside Food Beyond This Point" would eliminate all the confusion, and relieve the staff from having to berate people for something that is not their fault. To top it off, this place is outside security, and my airline requires you to be at the gate an hour before flight time, so unless you have enough time to sit there, order a meal, endure their tortoise-like service, and still report to security 60 minutes prior, it is pretty useless to enter this place. Nobody connects at Trenton, and if they did, they would not exit security and climb up to the top of the airport for this place. All things considered, I would actually advise showing up at TTN exactly one hour before your flight and going straight through security. For the first time in 40 years of air travel, I would rather have had a sandwich and a drink on the airplane than spend another second in this place. Needless to say, they lost at least two customers that day, and I will go hungry and thirsty rather than endure their hospitality. read more

We got stuck at the airport with a delay and our bartender Nicole made the delay stress free. she kept us updated with the delays and let us know it would be smart to get food upstairs in the case we would be here for a while (which she did with several other customers). She had a great personality and kept us entertained during our wait. I ordered a mimosa and it was perfect. All of our drinks were great. Looking forward to coming back to this airport soon! read more
