We hired this company when it was operating under the name Sun X Solar (later changed to Sky Limit Energy). The owner, Marksiane Senelath, assured us the work would be done properly. Unfortunately, the installation caused major problems. After the solar panels were installed, our roof began leaking. The leaks led to mold developing in our attic, which has been very costly and stressful to fix. It's also concerning that the company has changed its name multiple times, which makes it hard for customers to hold them accountable. Our family trusted them and ended up with long-term damage to our home. I recommend anyone considering this company proceed with extreme caution. read more

I was in the market looking for a roofer to replace my old roof and a solar contractor to uninstall my solar panels. I reached out to Mark since he installed my solar system and had the pleasure of working with him again for a complete roof replacement on my home. I am extremely thrilled with the results once again and can't wait to reinstall my solar. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, the team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, was always available to answer my questions, and provided clear explanations about the process, materials, and timeline. The craftsmanship displayed by the roofing crew was top-notch. They arrived on time each day, worked diligently, and paid great attention to detail. The quality of the materials used was excellent, and the final result is a beautiful, durable roof that has significantly enhanced the appearance and value of my home. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is commendable; when I had a minor concern about one section of the flashing, they promptly addressed it without hesitation. Despite some recent negative reviews, my experience with Mark's team was overwhelmingly positive. It's important to recognize that not every company is perfect, and there can be occasional issues that arise due to the inherent hurdles of operating a business. These negative reviews may be isolated incidents and not reflective of the overall quality and service provided. The value provided by their combination of high-quality materials, skilled labor, and excellent customer service justifies the investment at a reasonable cost. If you are considering them for your roofing needs, I encourage you to reach out and discuss any concerns directly with Mark. I've asked about the "no replies" and it appears the company was going through significant changes, so Mark alone has been handling most admin and fieldwork to the best of his ability. I highly recommend Mark for anyone in need of roofing work and solar needs! read more

This company was awesome! I was matched with them through the SCE Solar Marketplace program. Sky Limit Energy handled everything involved in the installation from beginning to end. Every person that I came in contact with from the office staff, installers and technicians were professional and efficient. All emails were promptly answered and the installers were polite and took care to avoid any damage and cleaned up at the end of the installation. If you are looking for a solar company, I highly recommend Sky Limit Energy. read more

Very honest and reasonable company to work it. Made the process way less complicated than it should be. I had first encounter "that" solar company at costco and felt they were pressuring me and it didn't feel right. A friend referred Mark and he assessed my roof and my past monthly DWP bill. We came up with a good plan and how much solar I needed. My roof was double layered and it was going on 15+years, I had Mark change the roof and also got the Enphase 10kw Battery back up. With the back up battery, If your able to make the payments, this is a great investment. We live in the Valley and get plenty of power outages during the summer and this turned on seamlessly. With the tear down and installation, they deal with the city's inspector and the workers are respectful and took time for my questions. Over all, we've been saving and less worried about running the air conditioner. After six months, I don't regret going with this company and super happy we ever consider this whole solar thing. read more

Updating my review because the company did pull through in the end, even if it was like pulling teeth. Ultimately I think a lot of things fell through the cracks and not just because of Sky limit; the city and the company contracted through LADWP both definitely dropped some balls. I'm still unclear about what happened with the CTs but Sky limit installed them in the end and I'm thrilled to have the solar system running perfectly as we go into our first summer with it. If you go with this company, just be prepared to stay on top of them every step of the way. read more

Everyone should know that Mark Senelath is still holding our money after nearly 2 years and trying to tell us he's filling for bankruptcy. He has said he'd pay us back "within 6 months" and that was in December. Mark I hope your friends and family read this so they know how you treat your customers. This is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself!!! read more

Thanks for the bizarre, performative response? You've done nothing to fulfill the contract to warrant anything but its automatic cancellation. Nothing was ever resolved, no one ever got back to us and absolutely nothing got done. We finally took matters into our own hands, found a new installer, transferred our loan, worked with SCE to transfer our NEM2.0. We now get weekly updates from our new installer and are (finally) in the permitting phase. Since this review at least half a dozen people have reached out having the same experience with SkyLimit. Mark has also been busy trying to have our reviews removed all over the place. Buyer beware. read more

Sky Limit Energy took our money, over $40K, in June 2023. It has nearly been a year and they NEVER STARTED our project. As with another reviewer, we found Sky Limit through Electrum and were financed through ELN. At the time we trusted Electrum because of their insistence that they 'vetted' all their contractors. In hindsight we should never have signed a contract. At this point, Mark at Sky Limit is not responsive and neither is Electrum. I think our only option is to go after Sky Limit's license. If any other customers have advice on best course of action, please send me a DM. To everyone else, do not do business with these criminals!!! read more

4/20 Update: Maleena has reached out to get the inverters to me, I appreciate her help. Installation in October 2022 was great, the company did a great job and everything was quick and easy. On Feb 18th, 2023, 9 of the Enphase microinverters, out of 21, went offline. They RMA'd the inverters and have had them in possession for weeks, they refuse to commit to a tech replacing them always citing "too busy", probably with new installs which matters more apparently than installed customers. The company doesn't stand behind its work, only seems interested in new installs. I am losing valuable generation credit every day. Just hope you don't have post-install issues because you'll be left with a system generating only 57% of its capacity and paid in full as in my example, beware. read more

Sky Limit Energy - What a Sign! - Solar Installation Near Me - El Monte, California

Do that use this company. I have been trying to connect with owner Mark S for months and he is unresponsive. The one or two replies I get is that he will get back to me but never does. My inverter was installed with outdated modem and now I cannot get any data on the app. I've trying to schedule to get a new one installed but Mark is no where to be found. I installed my system using his previous company SunXSolar and he mysteriously changed his company name to Sky Limit never informed his client that his company rebranded. I would give this company a 0 star if I could. Do Not Use this company; you will have the worst customer service after installation (if it ever completes). read more

Extremely knowledgeable, professional, people that work here...these guys know their "stuff"!! They were done in one day, and I had almost 40 panels installed!! They provided such great attention to detail, good, quality, work...even though they work, "lightning fast"!!!! They took the extra step to explain everything in great detail from A-Z. Their employees are very nice, respectful , and take the extra time to do the job RIGHT!!!!! A++++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! read more

The installation was fine, the techs were fine, Maleena was the most difficult person to work with, who does all of the scheduling. It was brutal dealing with her for the 10 months it took from signing the contract to being done with it all. She did some math wrong when we had to add something, I thankfully caught it and told her it was incorrect. She said, "It's just $400." I was blown away. She has no idea of my money situation and how much $400 means to my family. Also, every time she emailed me with a date for work to be done, she ALWAYS gave me a wrong date. Never once could she get a date correct. Also, just know all communication will be done via email. She doesn't always write back either. If you call, you'll get told No and that Maleena can't talk and you must email her. I've asked her for a copy of our contract so I can use for our taxes and she never replied. At this point, I'm worried for my money I'm supposed to get back on my tax returns. I'm unsure how to prove this. read more

Overdue review but better late than never. I had such a great experience with Mark's team. They accommodated the issues I had with other contractors and worked around my schedule. Great customer service and overall very satisfied with the services. read more

I got many quotes for solar and electrical work, but for some reason most of the companies just rubbed me the wrong way. I even contacted Tesla, but after several emails back and forth, they just stopped responding. Finally i found SunXSolar. Mark, cindy, Maleena and David were all very professional, communicative and friendly. The solar panels and electrical work that was performed was clean and tight. Its hard to make a solar solar inverter and conduit look good on your wall, But they did it! All this being said, i would definitely work with Mark and his gang in the future. I wish them much success and fortune going forward. read more

Was looking into going green and read that Sun x Solar offered educational seminars on how solar energy systems work. I like to be informed before making a big investment and Mark hit the spot. During the educational seminar, you can tell that Mark has extensive background in solar systems as he explained all the steps and equipment that is needed to setup a solar system in your house. He explained how the system works and how it converts solar energy to usable energy with the displayed system they have in their showroom. He also explains how they install the system on your house to ensure you that they know what they are doing and not just drilling holes everywhere in your house. If you are planning to go solar and don't know anything about it, you should go to sun x solar and get informed before making the investment. read more

I have to leave a review because this company is my hero. I had previously gotten a solar system through a different company, Titan Solar and construction and the solar system they gave me stopped working after 2 years. The 25 year warranty they never honored. I fought them and lost as they were supposedly going out of business. It had been about 4 months of my system not working and I had called a few people about fixing it and most were really iffy or completely over priced. This company was reasonably priced. They were right on time, reliable and honored what they said they would do. My solar system is working better than ever before! If you want competent, reliable service with a smile and great customer service as well, this is your company. There communication skills is something great as well as they kept me updated through the whole process I didn't have to hound them which is rare these days in business as well. read more

I've seen all the hype in the malls advertising solar and how they were supposed to save you a lot of money. I decided to walk in at Team Sun X Solar just out of curiosity. Initially I didn't really know much about solar so if course I was asking tons of questions. Mark gave me a run down from beginning to end. He started with the different types of products that are available. Their showroom had the products that he was talking about which made it easier to understand. Then he broke down the savings (he literally broke it down to the kilowatts) and explained to me what my options are as far as financing/payment. He gave me some great information that I will definitely be looking into. Definitely recommend anyone who is curious about solar to schedule a walk in. You won't be disappointed and you will definitely learn something about solar. Thanks Mark for your patience. Looking forward to working with you. read more
