After all the research I chose Aikyum for the job. I had my system installed 12/2024 and it has been working great. Harina helped me with my system and was straight up about the entire process from the get go. She has been very responsive and as such was recommended to a few coworkers who have also used her. They are also very happy with their systems and installs. Highly recommend.

The estimate was detailed and easy to understand, and they took the time to answer my questions without rushing me or trying to upsell anything. What stood out most was their communication. They consistently called before arriving, showed up exactly when they said they would, and kept me informed every step of the way. That alone set them apart. It's rare these days to work with a company that actually does what they say they're going to do. The installation went smoothly and efficiently, and everything looks clean and professionally done. Pricing was excellent, especially compared to another solar company I had previously dealt with, and the overall experience was noticeably better. If you're looking for a solar company that is responsive, organized, and genuinely professional, I would absolutely recommend Aikyum Solar. It was a very positive experience from start to finish.

Absolutely First-Rate from Start to Finish When the fires…read morehit Southern California and we lost power for two weeks, something changed for me. I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

They installed a high-quality system that has performed extremely well over the years. At one point, both of our inverters experienced a manufacturer-related issue. In fact, Solar Optimum identified the problem before we even realized something was wrong. They worked directly with the manufacturer to secure a replacement inverter at no cost and handled the installation quickly and professionally. When it came time to replace our roof, we didn't hesitate to reach out to Solar Optimum again. Their GAF Master Elite certification and the advantages of having the same company manage both the solar and roofing work provided tremendous peace of mind. The warranty benefits are excellent, and the roofing warranty is transferable, which adds real value and is something many roofing companies do not offer. We recently completed a full solar removal, reroof, and solar reinstallation project with the Optimum team, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The entire project was completed in about a week, exactly in line with the schedule that was provided at the start. The crews showed up on time, worked hard, communicated well, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day despite the significant amount of work involved. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and well-managed. It's rare to find a company that delivers this level of service over a relationship spanning more than a decade. We couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Solar Optimum and Roofing Optimum.

There were cheaper quotes for the system I wanted, but they didn't quite meet the aforementioned requirements (one, although competent, was way too new to feel comfortable with). Another competitor, probably the biggest one in Southern California, came out for a presentation, but their package was strictly a lease and didn't make much sense at all for me. The point of solar panels is to save money, and the projected money I would save was completely offset by the monthly payment. So, I decided to buy my panels outright, along with the Tesla Powerwall 3. It all was pretty pricey, but I will qualify for the federal rebate since the purchase was before the end of 2025. At least that's what I think. I was assured that I would qualify if I had a fully paid invoice before the end of 2025; although there was some other talk about showing proof of operation before the year ended. Solar Optimum couldn't provide me with a definitive answer, but my CPA said a fully paid invoice would work just fine. We'll see. The whole process began around 5 months ago. It started off with a rep coming out for a site inspection in order to put together a plan for me. That went pretty smoothly. Communication was primarily via email and phone. Their main office is on the Glendale/Burbank border. I went a couple of times to drop correspondence off. Once they put the plan together and I signed off on it, the physical installation came a few months later. That took only a day and it looked pretty clean and professional. The next stage was for Edison, my electricity provider, to come out and install the adapter. But that took a couple of months for them to even get here, and when they did, it turned out they couldn't install it at all because the adapter was damaged. The installers had placed it in a bag, but didn't secure it properly. Unfortunately, water from the autumn rains got into the bag and damaged it. So, it took almost another month to replace the adapter and have another Edison tech come out to inspect and install it. The last step is to have the city come out to give a final inspection and to give the permit to operate. As of today, late December, the inspection has yet to be done and the solar panels are just sitting there, inoperable. I understand there was a lot of orders for solar as people were rushing to get their purchases in before the 2025 federal rebates ended. But it's been 5 months and I've already fully paid for a solar panel system that hasn't been even been turned on yet. I don't really blame Solar Optimum since I'm really on Edison's and the city's time, but it is frustrating having to wait so long. Once it is turned on, I'll update this review.

We went with Enphase even though it was a bit more expensive. If we had a Cybertruck then Tesla all the way because of the bidirectional charging. The other advantage is that they are also a roofing company so it was all quite seamless. We were able to combine the install with replacement of the dormer vents with flat fire-resistant ones so now we are not as concerned with fire embers. Their work was impeccable throughout and the post install service is exceptional. For instance we initially missed that the water heater was not included in the backup circuits. They sent a small crew back to take care of that at no additional cost. Several months later we realized that the wall oven which we rarely used is no longer powered. They sent someone to take care of that as well. So far the system is functioning well. I was a little surprised I found out that the production calculation (120% of last year's use) is misleading. On a sunny day, by noon our batteries are full and the power generated for the rest of the day goes to the grid and is essentially wasted here in California. When I am home I can minimize this waste by charging my electric car which covers my day to day driving as it turns out. I manage it by using the Enlighten app's live status. I suppose I could have bought more batteries but I already own extra batteries. It's in the car.

We wish we had known about Urban Energy before our solar panels were originally installed. Mark, Raul, Tim, and the entire team were wonderful to work with and helped restore our system to full operation. After several years, the original mounting brackets failed, resulting in a roof leak and mold issue. We were fortunate to find Urban Energy during our roof replacement. Their team carefully removed all 33 panels and worked closely with our roofing contractor to ensure a smooth, coordinated process. Mark was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient in explaining the factors affecting our system, including how the panels should have been installed to account for their weight and proper roof support. He helped us understand where the original installation had fallen short and what was needed to correct it. We also discovered that our inverter had not been working for some time. Although it was still under warranty, it was nearly impossible for us as homeowners to reach SolarEdge. Raul went above and beyond, spending significant time securing the replacement inverter and getting the system running again. We highly recommend Mark and the entire Urban Energy team for their expertise, responsiveness, and care.
