If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been coming here since I've lived in greenpoint which is 15+ years, and yesterday my dad bought my mom a bouquet of 29 roses for the years they've together (which cost at least $80) and the greenery added into it was literally rotting. They thought we wouldn't open the wrapping on the bouquet and see the rotting part but you can quite literally smell the rot. Not only that the bow looked like it was smushed in there or carelessly added. It's even more frustrating considering that we've been customers for as long as we've been and my dad also left this woman a TIP. Ridiculous behavior and I can't believe they'd do something like this to basically lifelong customers. read more

Been coming here for years. My go to for bouquets, houseplants, or anything else. My friends from Manhattan call me up to get them flowers from here rather than anywhere else. Especially a go-to for flowers for events and parties! I only found one pic from a party I went to a few years ago, I added it below. I ordered a winter-themed centerpiece for Christmas last year that was BEAUTIFUL! It was winter-themed, with glitter even, but not tacky at all. The ladies here are super talented- they can make the most beautiful arrangements that always stand out and are the talk of the party. I can see some of the old reviews are saying the ladies are rude. I know people can have different experiences, but from my experience living in the Polish neighborhood for over 3 years it's kind of the culture to let you do your thing and only help if you need it, or be blunt and straight to the point...they were always polite to me, and my Polish is non-existent. Truly, the talent and arrangements speak for themselves. The line is always out the door for valentine's day and mothers day. Definitely check them out and get some flowers for someone important in your life. read more

She was, but had no recollection of me and tried to help me buy flowers and make small talk. I have purchased flowers from Sky Flowers on a number of occasions over 3-4 years. I choose the flowers and they made it into the nicest arrangements imaginable. They seem to have artistic training. My elderly father died unexpectedly. The family decided that we wanted to have beautiful flowers to adorn the wake and funeral. Our Funeral Directory recommended Sky and we were not disappointed. When all was said and done, our family ordered nine large arrangements on a Friday, early afternoon, for a Sunday early afternoon delivery. When we entered the chapel, we were overwhelmed by the beauty of each arrangement. They were set up so perfectly and beautifully, it brought joy to my Mother's heart during this extremely sad time. We were able to honor our father and his passing not only with memories but by surrounding him in flowers. Although we might have been able to get less expensive arrangements, I don't think they could possibly have been as grand and gorgeous as what we received. We're grateful to Sky for helping us make our father's funeral not only a day of grief, but also a time to celebrate his life in so beautiful a way. read more

my boyfriend and i have been coming to this shop for years. since 2004 to be exact. a couple of ladies that work there have always been so pleasant. we've got flowers for all and any occasions there including funerals etc. and they are always perfect. beautiful arrangements every single time and the flowers last. so now that we are getting married, it was a no brainer when it came to flowers. or so we thought. we just visited the shop today and we are so dissapointed by the owner's responses. we want lily of the valley for the flowers and we realize they are expensive in the spring but even more expensive in september. we did out homework and knew what to expect. the second i mentioned to her that we would like to talk about lily of the valley the owners response was "forget it". thats it. she claimed they were very little and very expensive. i was so shocked and thrown back i asked for the prices but knew that we were taking our business somewhere else. i come to you for business and im the one paying, it is your job to make the flower not turn me away because for whatever reason you dobt think i can afford it. she gave us a little smirk when we said thank you and were leaving. like a 'i told you to forget it you cant afford it' type of smirk. we visited another shop right after and had no problems talking about prices and designs with out any attitude. im very sad to not have sky flowers provide our wedding flowers but at the same time i am not willing to deal with someone like that. 5 stars for their flowers and 5 stars for the two ladies that work there always with a smile. 1 star for the owner and her service. its a shame. and yes, one bad experience can turn long time customers away. we will be back for flowers, just not for big projects like that. read more
