Be very care if you ever order from this florist. I ordered Fashionista Blooms but what was delivered was like a bunch of flowers picked up from any grocery store. The flowers and arrangement were totally different. This is about the second time I posted a review in 10 years or longer, so I am not sure how to post photos. He said he didn't have the vase and cited the conditions in the order page whereby I didn't check mark " No substitution". So, they could substitute with the closest possible. This is beyond close. It is not the flowers I am disappointed with, for I understand florists might not get certain flowers on some days. It is an entirely different arrangement. No admission of error from him. Wow ... I keep TRYING to leave a review for this place it's making me crazy that it doesn't seem to be getting through. I really want to get this review to stick because I really appreciated this florist shop and their work. The order was placed online overnight because we had a sudden death in the family across the country and I only had hours to get an arrangement for the service. Diane called me early the next morning (I'm 3 hours behind NY) She not only was able to accommodate my last minute request but actually got it delivered within a couple of hours ALL THIS a couple of days before Mothers Day! The arrangement was stunning and the family loved it so much they made it the centerpiece front and center at the church. There were beautiful pieces there for sure, but this was unique. I appreciate my "new" best friend Diane, and the efforts made to assist me during a difficult time. I would love to add a picture but I have to say the pics, I'm told do the piece NO JUSTICE. Camera operator error, not Florist. ;-) I may not be able to offer this shop much business because I'm in AZ but hopefully if you're shopping for a florist in their area, you would consider purchasing from them. Mc Kenna's florist is a quintessential florist to not only the local area but to the community. Beyond creating lovely display for the visitors of the shop, Diane goes above and beyond. As a fellow environmentalist she truly cares about the three 'Rs' reusing, reducing, and recycling. For my graduation family party there was a combination of my favorite 'R' as she reused my favorite kombucha bottles as center pieces for all of my tables. It was a true gift and one of a kind like any other. She provides a valuable service to the local youth where she teaches them the trick of her trade. In this case her and the class created a lovely display showcasing Ikebana (the Japanese art of arranging flowers). My mom had used McKenna's florist for my bridal shower, and the centerpieces came out so beautifully that she suggested I use them again for my wedding. I walked in one afternoon and instantly felt comfortable working with Diane. Besides the color of my bridesmaids dresses, I didn't really have a specific color palette, but she had so many great suggestions and she was so excited about it, which in turn made me so excited about the flowers! The day before the wedding, she told me that after she did the bridesmaids bouquets, she did mine and thought it needed something extra, and that she had found a beautiful flower she wanted to add if I trusted her to do it--and I am so happy I did, because it was gorgeous. Diane also made up the cutest little flower basket for our flower girl (she LOVED it) as well as nosegays for my husband's sisters and our moms that corresponded with the men's boutonnieres. I got married at Sacred Heart in Glendale and the reception was in Manhattan, but they have no problem delivering everything. I cannot recommend McKenna's enough--all the flowers were top quality and the prices were great. I will absolutely use them for any future events. read more

Diane and Rob taught him about flowers on his many trips and he then came home with excitement and taught me.. They designed my communion bouquet ,all my graduation corsages, sweet 16 flowers and most sadly my beloved dads funeral flowers who we only would have trusted to them. They were always ahead of their time creating works of arts. The best thing about them is you can truly tell they love what they do they never get annoyed at strange requests and are the kindest people I have ever met. My husband got a few bouquets from Diane and Rob for me while we were dating, and he always loved interacting with them and I absolutely adored all of the bouquets, so when we began to plan our wedding, we immediately knew that we wanted to work with them. When I came in to discuss wedding flowers, Diane had a lot of practical advice garnered from many years of experience to share with me. I showed her a few reference photos and she understood my vision immediately, assisting me to tailor my inspiration to my specific needs and budget. One of the things I had initially wanted, for example, were strands of ivy trailing from my bridal bouquet. She told me that those types of bouquets are usually carried by very tall brides and advised that it could be potentially unflattering. She then helped me choose different greenery, and came up with different ideas on how to include what I had wanted in other ways (like centerpieces). I definitely appreciated her candor and guidance. She could have just humored me and taken my money, but that's not her style. When I mentioned what I wanted in terms of ceremony decorations, which were non-floral, she cheered me on for my originality, rather than trying to talk me into buying more flowers. There is no high-pressure sales pitch here. Just a warm, friendly woman, who genuinely cares about making your dreams come true. The prices can't be beat. Diane is very reasonable, and is one of the rare few businesses who doesn't gouge you as soon as she hears the word "wedding", which I have the utmost respect for. I live in Texas and needed to order flowers in NYC for my daughters birthday. I called McKenna's because they are located in her zip code. I'm so glad I ordered from them. They were very helpful and friendly on the phone. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted and the woman I spoke to asked a couple of questions about my daughter and said not to worry, she would make up an arrangement my daughter would like.
