Had a really good experience with Diane. Gave me good advice about the arrangement, and the delivery was prompt. Flowers really fresh and lasted a long time. Good quality, good value. Thanks, Diane! read more

Be very care if you ever order from this florist. I ordered Fashionista Blooms but what was delivered was like a bunch of flowers picked up from any grocery store. The flowers and arrangement were totally different. This is about the second time I posted a review in 10 years or longer, so I am not sure how to post photos. He said he didn't have the vase and cited the conditions in the order page whereby I didn't check mark " No substitution". So, they could substitute with the closest possible. This is beyond close. It is not the flowers I am disappointed with, for I understand florists might not get certain flowers on some days. It is an entirely different arrangement. No admission of error from him. This is beyond not good. read more

Wow ... I keep TRYING to leave a review for this place it's making me crazy that it doesn't seem to be getting through. I really want to get this review to stick because I really appreciated this florist shop and their work. The order was placed online overnight because we had a sudden death in the family across the country and I only had hours to get an arrangement for the service. Diane called me early the next morning (I'm 3 hours behind NY) She not only was able to accommodate my last minute request but actually got it delivered within a couple of hours ALL THIS a couple of days before Mothers Day! The arrangement was stunning and the family loved it so much they made it the centerpiece front and center at the church. There were beautiful pieces there for sure, but this was unique. I appreciate my "new" best friend Diane, and the efforts made to assist me during a difficult time. I would love to add a picture but I have to say the pics, I'm told do the piece NO JUSTICE. Camera operator error, not Florist. ;-) I may not be able to offer this shop much business because I'm in AZ but hopefully if you're shopping for a florist in their area, you would consider purchasing from them. They take care with their orders and appreciate their patrons. THAT alone is beginning to be a rare art these days!! read more

Second time is still the charm. Diane makes ordering flowers and delivering them the same day as easy as can be. They arrived within 3 hours of placing the order. The assortment and arrangement in the vase were wonderful. The recipient and her family were delighted. So am I. I highly recommend McKenna's Florist. It is a long-standing family run business that knows about service, professionalism and all the emotion that goes into ordering and delivering bouquets that bring beauty into the hearts and home of those who receive them. read more

I've been ordering flowers from McKenna's for the past eight years or so. Sometimes I go in person, but mostly I order over the phone. The owners are the nicest, friendliest people and prove fantastic customer service! Whether in person or on the phone, the arrangements and bouquets they create always go above and beyond! The recipients are always blown away. Please use these guys for all your floral needs! May this little shop live long and prosper! read more

My mom had used McKenna's florist for my bridal shower, and the centerpieces came out so beautifully that she suggested I use them again for my wedding. I walked in one afternoon and instantly felt comfortable working with Diane. Besides the color of my bridesmaids dresses, I didn't really have a specific color palette, but she had so many great suggestions and she was so excited about it, which in turn made me so excited about the flowers! The day before the wedding, she told me that after she did the bridesmaids bouquets, she did mine and thought it needed something extra, and that she had found a beautiful flower she wanted to add if I trusted her to do it--and I am so happy I did, because it was gorgeous. Diane also made up the cutest little flower basket for our flower girl (she LOVED it) as well as nosegays for my husband's sisters and our moms that corresponded with the men's boutonnieres. I got married at Sacred Heart in Glendale and the reception was in Manhattan, but they have no problem delivering everything. I cannot recommend McKenna's enough--all the flowers were top quality and the prices were great. I will absolutely use them for any future events. read more

Mc Kenna's florist is a quintessential florist to not only the local area but to the community. Beyond creating lovely display for the visitors of the shop, Diane goes above and beyond. As a fellow environmentalist she truly cares about the three 'Rs' reusing, reducing, and recycling. For my graduation family party there was a combination of my favorite 'R' as she reused my favorite kombucha bottles as center pieces for all of my tables. It was a true gift and one of a kind like any other. She provides a valuable service to the local youth where she teaches them the trick of her trade. In this case her and the class created a lovely display showcasing Ikebana (the Japanese art of arranging flowers). We look forward to the many future years that Mc Kenna's will provide both inside and outside the florist shop. Thank you so much for all you've done. With much love: Thank you thank you thank you. Til Next Time. read more

Amazing place and the staff was so cool. I ask about the forget me not flowers and got such a good tip

Beautiful arrangements. So very helpful when I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to send to Mom. Mom adored the arrangement with all its beautiful flowers and winter greenery. All this was created at the whim of the florist and made for the best surprise. I won't even try another florist in Glendale as I doubt this one could be surpassed. read more

It is so comforting to go back to my home town Glendale knowing that Rob and Diane are still running a top notch florist. I was in need of a rushed funeral arrangement and as always they stepped up and delivered a gorgeous plant arrangement. Not only are they sooo talented and important to the Glendale community ...they are two of the kindest and sweetest people I ever had the honor of knowing. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. read more

My dad used McKenna's for years especially when he did something dum to my mom and that was a lot lol.. Diane and Rob taught him about flowers on his many trips and he then came home with excitement and taught me.. They designed my communion bouquet ,all my graduation corsages, sweet 16 flowers and most sadly my beloved dads funeral flowers who we only would have trusted to them. They were always ahead of their time creating works of arts. The best thing about them is you can truly tell they love what they do they never get annoyed at strange requests and are the kindest people I have ever met. Diane was doing the boho look 20 years before others because she is an artist.. My dads excitement because of our mutual love of flowers bought forth by his many trips to mckennas inspired me to become a florist as well. This is the go to spot for anyone in queens they are truly the best out there !! They are pillars of the community and give back to children with education to spread the love of flowers just like they did for me. read more

We absolutely LOVED working with Diane for our wedding flowers. My husband got a few bouquets from Diane and Rob for me while we were dating, and he always loved interacting with them and I absolutely adored all of the bouquets, so when we began to plan our wedding, we immediately knew that we wanted to work with them. I came in with dreams of a flower crown and wildflowers and a boho-hippie wedding vibe and she absolutely caught the vision and was eager to tackle our project. We had a small, outdoor wedding in the autumn and she did such beautiful work in creating floral designs perfect for the venue and feel of the wedding. She was very helpful in her communication with me - clarifying a few details in the days leading up to the wedding and helping me feel reassured of her knowledge of the craft. I highly, highly recommend them for all of your floral needs. read more

My now wife and I came to McKennas for a bride bouquet. WOW! Not only was the bouquet beautiful when we picked it up we got a small rose to pin on my lapel as well. We got exactly what we wanted and I could tell it was put together with love. They seem to truly love what they do and it shows! I would recommend the Mckennas' 1000 times. They were sweet, sincere, and seem to truly care. Mrs. McKenna asked to see photos after. I came back to return a vase and she did not forget who I was and gave us such warm loving compliments on our pictures. Such a pleasure. This is the only florist I will buy from. read more

Diane and her husband are beautiful people who care deeply about their work. When I came in to discuss wedding flowers, Diane had a lot of practical advice garnered from many years of experience to share with me. I showed her a few reference photos and she understood my vision immediately, assisting me to tailor my inspiration to my specific needs and budget. One of the things I had initially wanted, for example, were strands of ivy trailing from my bridal bouquet. She told me that those types of bouquets are usually carried by very tall brides and advised that it could be potentially unflattering. She then helped me choose different greenery, and came up with different ideas on how to include what I had wanted in other ways (like centerpieces). I definitely appreciated her candor and guidance. She could have just humored me and taken my money, but that's not her style. When I mentioned what I wanted in terms of ceremony decorations, which were non-floral, she cheered me on for my originality, rather than trying to talk me into buying more flowers. There is no high-pressure sales pitch here. Just a warm, friendly woman, who genuinely cares about making your dreams come true. The prices can't be beat. Diane is very reasonable, and is one of the rare few businesses who doesn't gouge you as soon as she hears the word "wedding", which I have the utmost respect for. On the wedding day, the delivery was right on time, the flowers themselves were beautiful, and they lasted all night and into the next day! read more

I live in Texas and needed to order flowers in NYC for my daughters birthday. I called McKenna's because they are located in her zip code. I'm so glad I ordered from them. They were very helpful and friendly on the phone. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted and the woman I spoke to asked a couple of questions about my daughter and said not to worry, she would make up an arrangement my daughter would like. My daughter was thrilled with the flowers and sent me pictures (which I posted). It was a beautiful arrangement with so many different flowers it looked different from every angle. I'm very pleased and will order from them again. read more

We were recommended by our wedding venue and after meeting Rob and Diane, nowhere else offered us the warmth and connection that we had with them. Other places had me feeling like they just wanted to sell me the most lavish obnoxious arrangements and they weren't listening to me. But Rob and Diane did! They were so helpful and genuine when discussing the vision I had for my bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets. They even understood the stress I had with my budget and even with that they created something beautiful! Diane even had some great suggestions which took my vision to the next level!
