Needed a last minute bouquet for my daughters graduation and they did a beautiful job and was waiting for me when I got there.

I called Long Beach Florist to create 5 different funeral arrangements. I called on a afternoon Friday and the pieces were needed for Sunday afternoon. The pieces were stunning. The Rosary for the casket was beautiful. The other large floral pieces (blanket, large heart, 2 sprays ) were all coordinated with beautiful, colorful flowers. My sister in law loved flowers so I had requested colorful, coordinated pieces. Long Beach florist did not disappoint. The flowers were magnificent, they exceeded our expectations. Have received several bouquets from here and they are just okay - never anything special. It seems like half the time there is no passion behind what they put together. I realize everyone has different budgets in what they spend on floral arrangements ( I also speak to my husband , relatives etc and know what is spent) but it's not that. For example I just received a floral arrangements for a new baby (girl) and I got pretty much all white flowers and a couple blue ones. For a birthday I got something that seemed like it was a patriotic arrangement. Seems every occasion I wind up with multiple arrangements, the ones from here are always the least impressive. I had the WORST experience in the world. My mother had called and asked to have a bouquet made for my wedding. She called about a week and a half in advance and told the woman very specifically what she wanted...We went to pick up the bouquet and it literally looked like someone had driven to stop and shop, bought some sunflowers and put them in a bucket with a rubberband around them. I was mortified. When asked where the pretty ribbon was around the base of the flowers (which were almost as long as long stemmed roses), the woman handed my mother some ribbon and said "Do you have a glue gun, I'm preparing the arrangement for a funeral, I don't have the time?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Not only that but she charged my mother $50! I could have just gone to the store and made this better myself for under $10. I will NEVER go here again, and if anyone asks if I know of a good florist, I will let them know I know of a HORRIBLE one. I ended up having to take said flowers to another florist Immediately after to be arranged into a PROPER bouquet. I was only charged $15, and it came out absolutely stunning. I received a bouquet that was just disgusting. It looked cheap, and when the plastic came off, the flowers were mostly dead and falling apart. It was mostly the gross fake looking green filler. When I called to say this was so disappointing, the person who picked up actually said to me "some people will always be unhappy". Well, if they continue to receive disgusting product, they will. When placing an order BE SPECIFIC & CONFIRM. My wife collects Thomas Kincade Xmas Centerpiece Collectibles. She gets a new one every year. This year she was sent one from this store & rather than getting the 2018, they sent a left over 2009 (that my wife already has). They advised this is what they had in the store & whoever ordered didn't specify. How about you tell the buyer & you give them the option? They offered to replace it with a flower centerpiece & not the latest collectible. I collect NY Giant Footballs for each year. I would not be happy this year if I was sent one that is 9 years old, nor would I be happy being offered a golf ball as a replacement. We ordered the new one from a Hicksville florist & it is beautiful. *They even supplied us with the batteries for the lights on it, which Long Beach Florist did not!* I guess they thought they could send an old leftover & no one would be the wiser. They would have gotten away with it if my wife hadn't been a collector. read more

Wish I would have read the reviews prior to me ordering saying that the sales person was so rude. . I didn't see the arrangement at the church so I cannot comment on that but I did have a rude salesperson on a follow up call I made to them. I requested a receipt for a business expense. She sounded a little annoyed but said they would send it by fax. I never received it and called back to request it again. They told me in a nasty tone they tried to fax it the first time and it took 20 minutes to go through so we won't fax it again ! I do know we have a problem with our fax machine however I don't think she needed to be so rude. She could have said I'll try it one more time. Then I asked to mail it to the office where I handle the expenses for the purchaser and she refused that and said the home address is where we send it. I've been ordering flowers on behalf of my Company for 15 years and never had a problem getting a receipt how and where I needed it ! This order was $ 150.00 that needs to be expensed and they should have been more accommodating. There are plenty of florists and I do not need to deal with nasty people! read more
