I had their brown sugar milk tea and it was a VERY good brown sugar milk tea when compared to other places. Most boba spots nowadays carry brown sugar milk tea and have it as a bestseller, but this one was actually deserving of that spot. A few small details to note, while the boba texture is fantastic, it is a bit bland in flavor. The owner or person working did seem to be working alone at the time so there was a bit longer wait than usual for milk tea.
Great customer service from the owner, super yummy drink & great atmosphere. I was concerned my sunshine tea would be too sweet (a common reoccurrence with boba shops) however this was not! I was very pleased with my drink! I was told the Thai tea was really good from a staff member at boot barn so it must be serious stuff
I really loved the cookies and cream! The cream tasted almost identical to the inside of an Oreo so good! Thai tea was just o k. Inside has space for light studying. Plenty of parking space as it is inside a big plaza. Service was quick and the staff was friendly
I am rounding up from 3.5 stars. We came here a few months ago for boba. My LO in her cookies and cream phase wanted the cookies and cream boba. Service was friendly and fast since we were the only customers in the store. Interestingly, after the first taste, both my LO and I didn't feel like it tasted like cookies and cream but now months later my LO said she wants to go back because she liked it. Haha.
Stopped by Sky Boba after browsing the nearby shops and wanted a quick, easy drink break. Vibe / Interior Hard to pinpoint the exact aesthetic--they seem to be going for function over form. Plenty of seating, which is nice if you're stopping in with a group. Order / Standouts I ordered a Thai Tea, which I later found out was sold out after ordering. I was quickly pushed to choose something else and ended up with a Matcha Strawberry instead. My friend ordered a Passionfruit drink. Both were fine, but nothing memorable or standout for a boba shop. Service Unfortunately, this was the low point. The experience felt uncomfortable and pushy. Two friends in our group were pressured to order drinks when they clearly didn't want anything. I also wish the staff had communicated upfront that Thai tea was unavailable instead of rushing me into a replacement order. Good For A convenient, no-frills stop if you just want a quick drink and don't plan to linger. Price / Value The prices were not available on the board so it was tough to gauge up front how much each one would cost or which ones are more premium. We paid about $13 for two drinks. Pricing is standard for boba, so the value itself is reasonable. Parking There's a lot directly in front, but it fills up fast. Expect to wait a few minutes for a spot during busy times. Pro Tips They mentioned a deal where ordering two drinks gets one free--but it appears to be limited to Thai tea or milk tea, so ask for details before ordering.
Sky Boba Cafe is one of the most adorable, clean, and peaceful tea and boba shops !! Their service is impeccably attentive, sweet, efficient, and there are plenty of seating areas and tables to relax and relieve yourself from the California heat. The manager works really fast too! What we ordered: Pistachio velvet milk tea with oat milk and salty cream: we really enjoyed how perfectly sugary and creamy this was! The addition of salty cream is highly recommended to balance the somewhat nutty and decadent flavor, plus the oat milk pronounces the sweetness by a touch (8.5/10) Strawberry matcha with oat milk: this is one of their most popular drinks; the matcha tasted very strong and high-quality, but the strawberry jam at the bottom is SUPER sweet in contrast--make sure to mix it all, but trust, once you do, it's heaven in a cup! You truly cannot go wrong with strawberry matcha and this one will not let you down (9/10) Make sure to stop by Sky Boba Cafe if you're in Torrance--it's perfect for a hot day, especially if you'll spend a lot of time walking around, staying active, or working--they also have a lot of promos like for their Thai tea and options to customize your drink in any way you wish!
This new cafe has a wide variety of drinks and plenty of seating to enjoy your treats! The owner was very kind and helpful when I asked for recommendations. He made both of my drinks himself, and asked asked if they were to my liking after I tasted them. I love that the strawberry matcha uses real strawberries, and is just the right amount of sweetness. The matcha itself was a little grainy, but nonetheless made well. You also get a great portion of each drink for the price! I would highly recommend Sky Boba Cafe to anyone in the area and have high hopes for its success.
Sky Boba Cafe has been such a great addition to the Torrance Promenade since they first opened. It's always nice having a dedicated drink spot in the area, and they've really built an impressive menu with something for every mood. They offer a wide variety of drink categories -- classic velvet milk teas, pure and real fruit teas, jasmine fruit-infused teas, creamy slushes, matcha and taro creations, coffee-based drinks, and even cream-cap teas. Whether you want something refreshing and fruity or rich and creamy, there's always a fun option to try. The staff is friendly! Service is quick, and their store hours make it a convenient stop during shopping trips at Trader Joe's, Home Goods, or any of the shops at the promenade! They also seem to have light bites I'll have to check out next time! If you're at Torrance Promenade and feeling thirsty, Sky Boba Cafe is definitely worth a visit
Stopped by photo world and since it's adjacent took my daughter for a treat (reward for test). ~5pm: Employee was VERY eager to help and sell us drinks! Showed us the top ten drinks so we tried 1) Taro Frappe (1/2 sugar) & 2) Cookies & Cream. I really enjoyed the consistency and taste of taro frappe!! It tasted as though he used real taro!!! I also appreciated the paper cover as opposed to plastic. It's a nice sit down - with tables and cushions. Would like to return for a date or hangout - Buy 3 get 1 FREE deal!
Drinks were ehhhh. I had the Cookies n crème and the matcha brown sugar latte. The cookies n crème was pretty good. I would rate it a 3/5. The matcha brown sugar latte was definitely a NO GO! Just the mix of it was not a good mix. It does not taste ceremonial matcha. Service: We felt extremely rushed.. I also asked about the SIGN that said buy 2 get 1 free. And the OWNER who was at the register has the nerve to ask "Do you REALLLY need it? It's just Thai tea." I mean what kind of service is that... TAKE THE SIGN DOWN if you're going to ask customers if they REALLY need it. And it doesn't even specify what free drink we get. I'm thinking if we buy 2 we get the free one as any drink as well. So false advertisement. No gloves when handing drinks. It was just awful. Ambiance - spacious inside with plenty of seats.
Came here for the first time. Got less sweet jasmine milk tea. Tastes great! Jasmin flavor is strong. Personally I think it's better than molly tea. Will come again.
Ordered a matcha, nothing fancy but delicious either way. I was greeted immediately when I entered and my drink was started as soon as I order. Inside was nice and clean, with comfortable seating available.
Stopped by for boba while visiting this plaza for five below. The cashier was very friendly and was kind to take pictures for my sister and I. Got a brown sugar milk tea and a caramel frapp. Both drinks were good and not too sweet like other boba shops. The inside is cute with a modern stylish.

Review #1003 2026-073 Drinks Order: Signature Fruit Tea with Crystal Boba $7.75 Strawberry Matcha with Crystal Boba $7.75 My son & I were at Torrance Promenade doing some last minute shopping for the holidays, & was thirsty (forgetting his water bottle again). We were leaving Five Below when my son spotted Sky Boba Cafe, thinking we can get drinks there. Lucky boy... SBC is a boba shop & they also serve snacks. I rarely browse the businesses on the other side of the island since my kids have outgrown Carter's. The shop is especially bright due to the expansive windows, & the lobby/dining area is spacious with plenty of tables & chairs to hang out & enjoy your sips. You have the option of ordering at the counter or using the kiosk off to the right. Their menu lacks descriptions so I needed some clarification (i.e. jasmine splash since you can combine 2 flavors, creamy slush vs. fruit tea slush). I ended picking 1 of their top 10 drinks: Strawberry Matcha & M chose the Signature Fruit Tea. There was a couple ahead of us so our drinks came pretty fast. The Strawberry Matcha was vibrant & beautifully layered. It tasted pretty good, though the matcha could have been blended better. It was a l'il grainy & I didn't care for the taste of the milk though. I believe they used whole milk? I might be biased with drinking Stonyfield Organic & A2 milks. M liked Signature Fruit Tea, but didn't make any other comments; I'm guessing he'll come back if we're conveniently at the Torrance Promenade. Sky Boba Cafe was originally located in Bellflower before moving to Torrance in Summer 2025. The boba in the South Bay has a lot of heavy hitters so the field is tough, & they're on the pricier side for the amount of drink. They'll like get a decent amount of foot traffic from patrons at neighboring Five Below & Trader Joe's. I recently spotted them on the TooGoodToGo app, but they keep selling out so I'm not sure if it's a worthwhile deal. Sigh... it's so bad... super UNSANITARY. Really awkward, dare I say, bad service... Let me start by saying there's a sign outside that says buy two get one free... I got nothing free. I saw them used their bare hands to grab the Oreos to crush. They also dropped a cup sticker on the floor, picked it up and stuck it on the cup, then proceeded to stack that cup inside the other cup (the floor sticker touch the inside of another cup). They also leave the milk out on the counter uncapped. Ew I also saw them use their fingers to wipe some of the brown sugar spillage off a cup. Awkward uncomfortable ordering process. Felt rushed. And then after I asked if they used a nondairy milk for the jasmine milk tea (said yes) and about another drink (said they use flavor powder)... he said, " I'm the owner." Uhhh ok??? Going from register to food handling, they didn't wash their hands. I saw them drop a straw when handing to a customer and ignoring it. Idk it seems like there's no system in place right now. I'm just really confused... did anyone get their food handlers license? They were really hyper focused and if a customer said thank you after receiving a drink, it was ignored. There were lots of other minute details. Like mixing spoons on the counter. Touching the spoon head with their hands. Strawberry on the menu missing a y. Crooked lettering on the wall. If you get a free Thai tea just tell them. Just feels really unprofessional overall. Yeah... really don't recommend. Pretty sure most of the five star reviews are fake. read more
The staff was passive aggressive and rude. I went on opening week, maybe they were busy and didn't remember the advertisement they posted online. I asked about it and the guy totally gave me attitude and didn't honor their promotion. I paid full price but honestly not worth it. My son had cookies and cream and said it was underwhelming. We were in the Torrance Promenade Plaza and noticed the new boba shop. We came into the store due to the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" promotion. Ambiance: 5/5 - The menu is on a mirror surface so it was a bit difficult to read but there were printed menus on the counter. There is a tablet that you can make your order through so very helpful when it gets busy especially since there was only one person running the shop. We ask what the "velvet milk tea" is but it's just naming with no difference from milk teas. The shop itself seems cozy with a few tables to sit at and is very clean. Service: 5/5 - Friendly but blunt. When we asked for a no ice version he stated it's not sustainable. He was happy to provide the drink with no ice but same amount of tea though. Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - they were out of the cream cap jasmine tea so we got a regular Jasmine Tea with no ice, a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba, and an Original Milk Tea with boba. The teas were decent but it tasted a bit more syrupy and the boba wasn't the best. Value for price: 2/5 - at Buy 2 Get 1, it was great deal at $14 for 3 drinks. However, once the worker found out we had Yelp, he asked for our number and sent us a message to post as our review. "I've been here a few times already and it never disappoints. Everything tastes fresh, and the place is clean and cozy. You can tell they care about quality. Highly recommend!" The curated message makes us doubt any other 5 star reviews that are vague. He provided us the 2 drinks and asked whether we posted the Yelp review. While we did get the 3rd drink, it felt like it was dependent on a review. read more

I saw an ad for Sky Boba Cafe and a buy 1, get 1 free ad on instagram for this past weekend. I'm always up for checking out new boba spots and so when so when I saw the ad, I knew I wanted to visit. Sky Boba Cafe is right next to Carter's Baby and across from Trader Joe's in Hawthorne Blvd. It's a fairly small spot they do have a variety of seating inside from couches to wooden chairs. Before placing my order, I asked the boba barista (who I realized later was the owner) if they still had their buy 1, get 1 deal. He did seem a bit stressed and overwhelmed and told me not anymore (despite the instagram page saying it was for the whole weekend). He explained his employee called in sick and he was the only one there. He did say however that if I wanted a milk tea, he would go ahead and honor the deal. Honestly I was going to get the Earth Taro with Boba drink with taro paste but since he mentioned he would only do the Taro Milk Tea, I went with that. I felt bad he looked stressed and I could tell he was at least trying to make me as a customer happy. He even said he wanted to make me a better drink but since he was by himself, this was all he could do. The Taro Milk Tea ended up being a great drink! I loved the taro flavoring. The drink had just the right amount of sweetness. The boba was soft and chewy. It was one good boba drink! I appreciate the owner doing his best and the Taro Milk Tea ended up being a pleasant surprise. Happy to have been able to check this spot out and will be back another time to try the Earth Taro with boba. read more

It's located in the Torrance Promenade strip mall, across from Trader Joe's, next to a photo place. So unassuming outside, really cute inside. I brought mom with me to take advantage of the deal. I wanted something refreshing, so opted for Passion Fruit green tea. Mom ordered Dragon fruit green tea. I thought we added boba to both, but only 1 had Boba and I didn't realize it until later. This is a nice little Boba café. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The drinks are very large so you get your moneys worth. Their matcha strawberry latte is beautiful as it is well balanced. I also recommend the Thai tea. It tastes authentic and not too sweet. Can't wait to come back to try their other drinks. I heard that they might have coffee in the future. They also have fruit teas and brown sugar Boba. They have promos from time to time for even more savings. read more

This place is great if you are looking for something sweet. Drinks are sweet and look pretty. They also serve food, but I didn't get a chance to try them. I imagine that salty and sweet combo would be amazing. There's plenty of parking and plenty of seats inside. I ordered all my drinks with crystal boba and the staff is very nice and honest. You can adjust your sweetness to your liking. The inside is minimalist, quiet, and cozy. The tables and seats are clean and it's a great place to hang out and chill read more
Memorable but for the wrong reasons. Came back in September. The ambiance is... warehouse pop-up? Service is slightly off-kilter; my friend found their communication style rude. I think they knew this because they gave me a 2nd drink for free at the end, a Thai tea. We asked some questions about real fruit vs. syrup in the drinks, and most used a syrup. My friend decided not to order there. I ordered a tea since we were already there but I probably should have followed suit. The pearls weren't chewy and the tea tasted mostly like syrup and was too sweet (even with lowered sugar levels requested). This was probably the worst boba I've had from a boba spot in a long while. Came to Sky Boba for a drink, accidentally got a side of attitude for free. The guy working the register and making the boba (working solo) seemed extremely annoyed that customers existed. He rushed everyone through their orders, made facial expressions the entire time, and acted like ordering a boba was a personal inconvenience. I understand being busy, but customer service shouldn't make people feel like they're interrupting your day. read more
