    Green Thai Milk Tea
    Raina T.

Craving some milk tea, we stopped by Mellow Tea Studio to try their Green Thai Milk Tea. The staff member was friendly and prepared my drink promptly. The interior was simple and clean, with a cute wall filled with cat artwork that added a nice touch. While I enjoyed everything up to that point, I was unfortunately disappointed once I tasted the milk tea. It ended up tasting very watered down, almost like diluted milk, and lacked the bold tea flavor I was expecting. In hindsight, I probably should have asked for a remake or requested it to be stronger, by the time I took a sip we were already on our way to our next stop. If I do come back, I would try something else and hope for a better and stronger drink experience next time.

My friend recommended this place, and it has become my must-visit café whenever I go to Redondo Beach. Since it's summer, I've been going there a lot. The interior is super cute with cat-themed decor everywhere and a swing where you can take fun pictures. And the drinks are amazing. Truly, the drinks are the highlight. Iris is my favorite person there. She really knows the menu and can recommend something even if you only have a vague idea of what you want. You know those moments when you're standing there not sure what to order and just say, "I don't know"? Iris is like a drink psychologist. She'll ask questions like whether you're in the mood for a smoothie or a fruit tea and guide you from there. My favorite drink is the strawberry blend with cheese foam, 25 percent sweetness, and a tea base. It tastes real, not artificial, and the balance of flavors is just perfect.

First time here visiting and I got the grapefruit tea. The inside was pretty spacious so great place to catch up with friends or hang out. My order came out pretty quick and overall it was a good boba drink. Parking can be a bit difficult as it's on a busy highway and limited space.

My friend and I had a great time here today. Mid-day on a Saturday it's popular but the calm vibe remained as people came and went. I loved my Thai tea taro drink with boba! I got 75% sweet which helped it not be overwhelmingly sweet, and the boba pearls aren't very sweet either imo. I look forward to coming back!

The Service: Love the customer service! Sara was taking our order & preparing our drinks. She definitely knows how to multitasking. Super efficient! The Store: I bet the owner loves cats, the decorations & art work on the walls are so adorable. So many photos zone spots! Lots of seating inside the store. Great place to hangout. The Drinks: Their drinks are colorful. The flavors are creative. I like fruity flavors. My favorites are Strawberry Cheese foam & Mango Coconut. So refreshing! Not overly sweet. If you have sweet tooth, try the Oreo Boba Fresh Milk. It's totally a dessert drink. The Parking: Parking structure close by (1800 S. Pacific Coast Hwy). Free retail parking!

Came here after fellowship as it's the only tea place that was still open at this hour and a brother was craving for hot tea so here we are, late Friday night. I'm really happy to learn that there's free parking inside the building as for the longest time I thought it was for residents only for some reason. Now that I'm aware of this, I'll be visiting this plaza more frequent!!! The shop itself is nice and cute. They have very limited hot drinks so that was a bit disappointed. He got the hot Thai milk tea and i was unable to find anything hot that I would enjoy so decided to try the mango milk tea. Because my friend decided to order the drink 25% sugar, it prompted me to order mine 50% (big mistake). He enjoyed his drink but mine was definitely lacking. I would recommend ordering the mango milk tea normal sugar level. Next time! I like how the drink came with actual bits of mango, that's refreshing. I heard from the girl working there that taro milk tea is the same way. I'm definitely coming back to try that. I also love the fact that they have many snacks available but wish their selections were more catered to their drinks. There were nothing that matched the drinks which was quit disappointing. Overall: loved the service and the chill ambient. It was pretty empty by the time we got there but it's almost closing time and it was appreciated. I live close by so I'll be back soon to try more drinks and maybe suggest some snacks that would match your drinks :)

Haven't been down PCH in a while so decided to take a stroll around. Parking: There's a free parking structure at 1800 S PCH. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating and very limited outdoor seating. I love the kitty art on the walls and furniture! Sooo cute! Perfect spot for a boba date or simply hangout with friends & family. I visited around 16:00, and they were consistently busy. Service: There were only two workers. Shout out to them for holding it down. It was busy, but they were quick & efficient. Drinks & dessert: 1) See-side (green Thai milk tea) - This is one of their newer drinks. The color looked great, though I thought the flavor was very light. Maybe steep the tea a bit longer? 2) Thai Milk Tea w/ Taro - This is one of the employee's favorites. It looked aesthetically fun and tasted even better! The Thai tea and taro mixed well together. 3) Vietnamese iced coffee - This is 2/2 newer drinks. As someone who grew up drinking Vietnamese coffee, this was okay. It's not strong or bold like a viet coffee should be. It wasn't sweet either .. I mainly tasted milk. 4) Mango Lime Tea w/ boba - Now this was refreshing! All the flavors came through! The boba tasted as expected and not too chewy. 5) Creme Brûlée & Strawberries bubble waffle - Perfect to satisfy a sweet craving! The creme brûlée drizzle was sooo delicious! Pricing: Prices are reasonable. I love the ambiance here. The bubble waffles were delicious. Some drinks can use an adjustment, but I'd come back to try their other drinks.

This place is so cute with the cat mural and floral swing bench!! Good open space too I wanted to come here for their delicious looking waffle but when we came i was too full sadly :( so i just got the cheesefoam matcha. I was delicious! Good matcha quality and excellent foam. The woman who took our order was very friendly! She explained the rewards program to us since we were first timers. I really cant wait to come back and try the waffle. I do not live near here at all so trust me when i say ill come out of my way. If youre local, dont miss this place!

Cute little tea shop in Redondo Beach. A bit of a drive for me so I would only come out if I am in the area. All their drinks are made with fresh ingredients and milk. I like how you can taste that it is not processed. My fave is their hong kong waffles. Its crispy and warm. The Nutella one with strawberry is a little thicker than i like with the Nutella but still good. My fave drink is their first love mixed fruit tea and their version of Vietnamese ice coffee. Inside has a swing bench and decorated like a cat cafe. Nice study and work spot,

    Real love

From the moment you walk into this tea spot, you're welcomed to a charming decor of cats. It's a very inviting atmosphere that puts you in a pleasant mood. We had two drinks, which were both delicious. The Mango Coconut milk tea w/ sago was tasty. The mango flavor paired well with the coconut and sago added a zest and texture to the drink. We also had the Real Love, which was essentially a strawberry and peach tea. You can't go wrong with these almost universally beloved flavors, so it's no surprise that it was also pretty good. Although I'm not in Torrance too often, you can bet that this spot would a good choice when in the area

Cute store with an amazing ambiance. The workers were so friendly, and the drinks were pretty good tasting as well! Definitely worth a try, and the free parking is such a rarity in the area.

The food was 10/10. The puffle was delightful. The drinks were yummy too. I think I got the love potion one. Not too sweet. And boba was cooked well. The place is clean and the server was so nice. My friends and I had a grand time.

Ask the Community - Mellow Tea Studio

    Where can I park?

There is garage parking. You can get into the parking garage behind the studio from PCH or Vista Del Parque

Can you request 0% sugar if the fresh brewed teas?

    Yes you can!

Do you use fresh/quality ingredients (no fake powders, syrups, etc)?

Yes, we use fresh fruit, fresh tea, and fresh dairy to make our tea.

Does the milk tea use non-dairy creamer? Any alternate milk options available?

Thank you for the question. We do not use non-dairy creamer in our milk tea. Currently we do not offer any alternative milk option. However if you are lactose intolerant, I would suggest trying our fresh fruit tea.

Will you open before 2pm in the near future?

Starting December 7, 2021 we will be opening at 12 pm and closing at 8 pm.

    Any dairy free options?

All of the fruit tea, lemon tea and fruit feasts are dairy free

DineLA Food & Drink Order ($15): Breakfast Plate: Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (sunny-side up) $15.95 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.95 Server/Bartender: Andrew I have been a long time fan of Kirari West Bake Shop when it opened with much fanfare as a 100% gluten-free Japanese bakery with treats that defy the common undesirable traits of gluten-free goods: dense, dry, &/or gritty. When Kirari West Bake Shop (refer to Review #290) opened sister bakery, Confections by Kirari West, a couple of years ago, I bookmarked them for a visit but didn't get around to it until I saw them on 2026 DineLA. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! This was my second visit to Clutch and Coffee. Approximately nine months ago, I came with a friend…read moreand had an excellent experience. I entered with my service dog without any issue. Today I arrived about ten minutes before 8:00 a.m. We were the only customers present besides one waitress and a male employee. He wore a black hat, had a short blonde beard, wire-rimmed glasses, and small-gauge black earring plugs. This employee demonstrated no knowledge of ADA or California service animal laws. Given the number of seniors and service-animal users in Old Torrance, staff handling the front should be familiar with these requirements. He asked me to sit on the patio. I requested an indoor booth instead. He then asked for papers or identification for the service dog. I explained that no such documentation is required under the law and that fraudulent service animals often carry papers. I informed him that businesses may ask only two questions: (1) whether the animal is a service dog required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. He continued to raise health-code concerns and responded dismissively. He eventually seated us in a booth. Service after seating was poor. The waitress ignored our table for approximately seventeen minutes. She did not inform us that menus were already on the table. She later set down waters without comment and left. A young male employee refilled our drinks first. The waitress returned to the table only a couple of times and appeared only at the end when she noticed money on the table for the check. We were seated away from other guests and largely ignored throughout the meal, which made the experience awkward. We waited an extended period for the check. When an elderly woman and her daughter arrived at the front door, we stood to leave. We waited another two to three minutes with payment in hand before placing the money on the table and departing. The restroom was filthy. There were no paper towels for drying hands. Toilet paper was on the floor, soap was on the ground, and toilet-seat covers were scattered and torn from the wall dispenser. As we appeared to be the first customers to use the restroom that morning, the condition suggests it had not been cleaned from the previous evening. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III, restaurants are places of public accommodation and must allow service dogs to accompany individuals with disabilities in all areas open to the public, including indoor seating. Staff may ask only two questions when it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal: (1) whether the dog is a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. Businesses may not require documentation, identification cards, certification, vests, or any form of paperwork. They also may not inquire about the nature of the person's disability or demand that the animal demonstrate its tasks. California law, including the Disabled Persons Act (Civil Code §§ 54-54.2), reinforces these federal protections. Local health codes do not override the ADA right of access for a properly controlled service dog in dining areas. The manner in which we were greeted immediately set a negative tone for the entire meal. Although my companion and I enjoyed each other's company, that was the only positive aspect of the visit. The initial confrontation over my service dog, followed by prolonged neglect from the waitress, made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Throughout the meal I also felt meticulously watched, as if the staff were waiting for us to finish quickly and leave. As a result, I was unable to fully enjoy or finish my meal.

My coffee order is an iced americano with a splash of 2% and it never misses. I wish I still lived in Redondo so I can come here regularly but La Terraza is my permanent travel pit stop for now

*** Cards only - no cash establishment ***…read more La Terraza is a family-owned local & food-focused coffee shop in Redondo Beach opened in 2020. This coffee shop is in partnership with a sister cafe called La Terraza Cafe located in the City Terrace area of East Los Angeles. [Parking]: Street parking only, but I had no issue finding a nearby spot. [Ambiance]: The coffee shop has a monthly pop-up bookstore (Moonstone & Mist) on the last Friday of each month at the storefront (check their Instagram page for more info). There are five tables and one sofa inside the shop and seven outdoor tables. The space has a nice and cozy atmosphere with soothing background music from Rod Stewart and The Rolling Stones. There is one unisex restroom. [Menu]: The top highlighted dishes are French Toast, Breakfast Burrito, and Avocado Toast. I asked the staff about popular drinks and the horchata latte was recommended so I went with it. They serve coffee from La Colombe Coffee Roasters. They also offer various Mexican-inspired drinks like café de olla, Mexican mocha, and matcha de olla. *** Breakfast Burrito ($10.50 - Avocado $2.50 + Bacon $2.00): The filling had a crunchy texture from the bacon which was nice. The salsa had an a-okay flavor profile, but it had the right amount of heat. Horchata Latte (hot 12 oz, $6.75): The drink was quite good with just the right amount of sweetness. *** A solid 4.5-star on latte and a 4-star on breakfast burrito. Overall this is a nice 1st date spot in Redondo Beach as the beach walk is only two blocks away.
