Horrible service. Always a long line. Place is not very clean. They have put up a curtain now so you can not see them preparing the food. That really makes me wonder. Also if you use a gift card from there you have to keep up with the balance. I tried using it tonight and they asked me how much was left in the balance. I wasn't sure told them somewhere between 8 and 9 bucks. They told me I had to tell them which one. I had no idea. I asked to speak to someone other than the manager and was never given a name. Shrimp shack was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting it to taste like any other fried seafood basket but their breading has a distinct ingredient that makes it taste so much better than anywhere else. My friend and I shared a shrimp combo with hush puppies for lunch and I still had enough to have for dinner! Just an FYI, if you microwave leftovers that have breading, put a glass of water in the microwave with your food and it will not heat up soggy! read more

New process due to Covid 19, Call and place your order than pay over the phone(Not a problem). Get to the restaurant to pick up my food, the young lady at the cash register "Who's supposedly the manager" doesn't have one gloves or a mask which is one problem given the climate and what's going on right now put's my order down with a attitude I look in the bag and there's "Tarter Sauce" which I Requested Cocktail sauce. She then begins to try and nickel and dime me for cocktail sauce which I requested first when I've already paid almost $20 for 2 sandwiches and proceeds to get a attitude. I comeback in with the 2 quarters and wait while she goes off doing something with her iPhone charger for a couple of minutes while I'm standing there waiting I place the quarters on the desk beside the bag of food. She finally decides to comeback and take the quarters then put the cocktail sauces not in the bag which is right there where she put it at first but on the Counter. Stay clear away from this place. If this is the kind of Customer service coming from a supposed "Manager" and this resteraunt is so hard up for money that they can't put the standard condiments items in the bag for a already priced up fish sandwich along with giving the paying customer attitude I have never seen something like this from a place that was once good. read more

First experience we dined in went well. However, my second experience with this establishment wasn't well at all. It was a to-go order. I should have looked at my order prior to leaving, but I didn't. When I got home I noticed that I didn't have any shrimps, which I should have had 8 because I ordered the catfish dinner. Also, the way the packaged the food was wrong. The foam container the collard greens were in was punctured and caused the juice to spill out on the food. The mac and cheese were horrible and had two different shells, which appeared they just put something together after running out. I let her know that too and instead of getting the mac and cheese I'll get green beans. I called the store and let them know what had happened. I was put on hold; then, the person that took our order came back and said she said you can come back and she will give you the shrimp. I'm thinking like duh, I paid for it! I didn't get a sorry for your inconvenience, now I have to make a 20-minute roundtrip again because they forgot to do something. When I got there the manager said here is your shrimp and greens. I was supposed to get collard greens and green beans. Of course, she only included green beans. Also forgot to apologize for my inconvenience, she acts like she was doing me a favor. Customer service suck! I was disappointed and noticed that my hushpuppies were not included too. I thought let me call back when I got home to talk to the manager because maybe he/she isn't aware of the problem to only find out that she was the person that gave me my food without apologizing.
