Dog brew event - Saturday Aug 17
    Mary W.

Always great service with a smile. Have come 3x while visiting in the area. ALWAYS dog friendly - which is a HUGH BONUS cause we always have our pups with us. My husband loves their beer, they also have other brand cider options and often have food trucks outside to eat. Open area inside and outside great place to visit if you're considering!

Family and dog friendly brewery across the road from the airport. Plenty of parking. No food, but they had a food truck when we were there and we were told they often do. You can check online at https://www.skookumbrewery.com/food-trucks Tap list is solid. Good mix of options including IPAs (of course), an amber, stout, and a brown ale. I thought the best was Murder of Crows a 9% ABV stout finished on old crow whiskey oak. This stout had strong chocolate notes with a bit of smoke and oak wood to it.

Amazing beer, friendly staff, dog friendly... It's a big open space and I love going here. They have food trucks, allow outside food, and sometimes they will have really cool events. I do like that they have more than just IPAs on tap; that can be hard to find in this area. Their brown ale is one of my favorites and I love that they have a giant cribbage board table! It's a great place to kick back and enjoy libations with your friends.

Another great PNW brewery, well worth a little drive to Arlington. West coast, Pacific west coast, hazys, and barrel aged wonders are all available. Ambiance and location very similar to one of my favorite Bay Area breweries, Drakes. Great patio area as well as a roomy interior, adjacent to where the magic is made. The fresh hop hazy was amazing, as well as the foggy IPA. They know how to brew beer! Parking lot was full, but parking across the street near the airport is easy walking distance. Dogs and well behaved people are welcome. Nice kicked backed vibe, no TVs blaring sports, just some good ol' country music playing. Definitely had to take some home, and looking forward to a return visit, just a hop, skip, and a jump off of the 5, stop on by, if in the area. Or worth a try while trying the many other breweries in the area. Yelp on! Cheers!

Cool space - Los of room to sit inside and a nice beer garden outside. The food truck was great (Big Red Truck/ Chef Tony's)- I had pulled pork tacos; he had arroz con pollo. Really good beer - I had a flight, he had a Murder of Crows. So, why only 2 stars? RUDE service. We went because they were releasing some bourbon barrel aged beers - Deep Color and Solitary Confinement. I stepped up to the bar and said I would like a flight. Bartender (maybe the owner?) hands me a tray and a marker. "You do all the work. No Deep Color. No Solitary Confinement." Me - "So, I can't try the two BBA's on the flight? What about a separate taster?" Him - "Nope. You can buy a pint or a bottle." So, I was frustrated that I couldn't try the two I was wanting to try, but I tried 5 other beers. All were good! While we are sitting at the bar enjoying our beers, rude guy is talking to a couple of folks - must've been regulars. He proceeds to bring them each tasters of both the BBA's. I said "Hey, Man..." He rolls his eyes at me and begrudgingly brings me tasters. Hubs really liked his Murder of Crows and asked for a Crowler. Rude guy says Nope. Can't buy that in Crowlers. 4-packs are available in the cooler. We didn't want a 4-pack of bottles. So, we got no beer to go, and will likely not be back. Very surprised, as we had enjoyed our previous visit a year or so ago. Too many other great places to drink beer - will have to check out 5 Rights next.

My favorite local hangout. I was introduced to Skookum by friends several years ago and, today, I'm happy to say that my main friendship circle all came from Skookum. The owners, the employees, the guests are amazing and fantastic. I have felt nothing but welcome by everyone and I have a blast whenever I go. DOG PEOPLE UNITE!!! I'm a crazy dog mom - like insane - so I love that whenever I show up at Skookum, the owners dogs run over to me for hugs, I know other dogs by name, and I get my dog fix (despite living with four) while I'm hanging out. Sometimes, I'll bring one of my pack and I love that they're welcome. FOOD TRUCKS GALORE Well, it's not like there are 5 food trucks in a circle, but that would be awesome, right? No, Skookum invites food trucks and it's been fun getting to know the various vendors, find my favorite meals, and try things that I normally wouldn't eat. The food is good; especially during the summer months. BEER FOR NON BEER DRINKERS The reason why they'll always be 5 stars in my book, is the beer. I AM NOT a beer drinker. It's bitter, gross, and hard to stomach. But not at Skookum. I have three favorites now and I so appreciate Angel, Jessica, and Tino helping me hone my pallet. THE STORY BEHIND SOME OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS If you're still reading my review and happen to notice that I'm a black woman, you may be wondering about the libelous rumors that the owners and employees are racist (or anti-cop). This isn't true. As I said above, I count the owners and employees as my friends. My partner is a retired deputy and many of our friends are in law enforcement and we hang out at Skookum regularly. Isn't it sad when people hide behind a computer to spread lies? Talk about needing a productive hobby. You'd think that after all the hate and anger in 2020, we'd focus more on coming together as a community, but there will always be people who have nothing to do but spread hate. #sad Thanks for reading and I hope my review helped you see this amazing local business in a positive light. I love them.

Billowing Waves IPA - sooo good!

This is by far the best brewery there is IMHO. I love their beer so much! They make the best IPAs and they are super dog friendly. What more could you want?

On a road trip today for a couple of my other vices and had to come to check out Skookum Brewery (SB) as I've been reading that a pint was $10 at BB in Seattle. Well the verdict is that even at the brewery it's going to be $6.50; so there must be an up charge for not having to drive to Arlington, WA. If you've been to Triplehorn in Woodinville, the indoor décor and ambiance is very similar with a large warehouse space with 24' ceilings, gobs of space for large groups, picnic tables and a very large outdoor seating open year around. Very relaxed and laid back where you have decks of cards and dominos on the tables. I had the flight of 5 IPA's that is mostly seasonable beers so I can check them all out. They all had a kind of honey cloudy colored; with a cross section of APV for all tastes in IPA's. The other half of the offerings was an amber and different types of porters. All the beers were tasty and very approachable and drinkable. If you're in the Marysville / Arlington area, this is a real gem of a brewery and I'd be quite well known to coming here. Since, I'm from Burien, I'm not going to take the drive for just Skookum; but include a sporting goods store and a BBQ place nearby, then this is really a great road trip from Seattle. It's going to be hard for me to drive through Arlington without dropping by Skookum. You must check it out if your in this area and really like beer.

Skookum brewery has a great selection of beers. The bar looks directly into the tank room. The facility is clean, with plenty of seating. They are dog friendly so, if Fido isn't an Alpha dog, bring them in too.

My wife and I met a couple friends here for a few brews on a sweltering sunny day. Free parking can be found in the small gravel parking lot. Credit and debit cards are accepted; however, a 2.75% fee is charged to each transaction. Be sure to bring cash to avoid silly service charges. There is an ATM on site as well if needed. Skookum is 21+ only and dog friendly. Skookum does not have a kitchen nor is there waiter service. Orders are placed and picked up from the bar. Water is self-serve from a dispenser located near the front bay door. Skookum paraphernalia is also for sale. For those that are hungry, a rotation of food trucks are on-site to purchase food from. Indoors is spacious with ample seating and a projection screen. Outdoors also has generous seating with plenty of umbrellas for shade. My favorite beer is Amber's Hot Friend. Pints were $5.50 each. I was first exposed to this beer at Anthony's Homeport. I am thrilled that I can also purchase Amber is bottles. On the day of our visit, Rock 'n' Rollin' Eats Truck was on site selling a variety of hot dogs. Perfect food to pair with beer. Discover is an accepted form of payment. My wife and I shared the Detroit Dog for $9 and a side of French Fries for $4. The vendor was nice enough to serve the onions on the side since my wife doesn't care for them. We were both please with our food selections. Thank you Skookum for providing a laid-back place to enjoy good beer, sunshine and friends.

I bought a bottle at the farmers market for $8, and took it back to their brewery in Arlington for a $5 refill--and got a few more bottles! They also have growlers and some specials I believe.
