After an unsavory experience with a DoorDash order from Skipolinis, I was immediately contacted by the General Manager, Victor, who had so much passion and care about his establishment that I truly admire his character. The pepperoni pizza we got was delicious and tasted good even though our meal delivery service took longer than usual to get the food to our house. I'm perfectly aware that the dining experience is much different in person than it is when a 3rd party is involved with delivering so we are very much looking forward to going to Skipolini's as soon as the pandemic is over. The high level of customer service speaks wonders about this business, they truly care about their customers and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure that everyone who dines here (or even gets take out) has a phenomenal experience. Just moved to the area and our Facebook friend posted about how Skipolini's is his favorite pizza. My husband and I said to each other, "Don't we live near a Skipolini's?" So we had to check this place out! Got a medium Prego pizza (their speciality it seems?) to go. Their medium is equivalent to other establishment's large size so it was plenty. It wasn't cheap. I think we paid about $27-28 for the pizza but wow it was super heavy (weight-wise). First time we tried it, we were like, "Wow, this is really good!" Very flavorful with lots of herbs and spices. I'm an East Bay transplant and was sixteen when Skips opened in Clayton. Love their pizza, lots of fond memories going there. That stated, my family and I now live in Rocklin and frequent their store here for pizza. Today, I thought it safe to venture beyond their pizza and try their Cioppino. Wow, do I ever regret that. My opinion of Skip's is forever changed after this horrific culinary experience. I am in absolute disbelief that management there could dare to bowl this up and serve it to their guests. It was the most disgusting dish I have consumed since getting sick on canned Nally's Tamale's as a kid. I can only describe this dish as warmed Campbell's soup (literally), no seasoning, no garlic, no wine, no dish or chicken stock, and the most stingy portion of "seafood" thrown in at the last minute. Honestly, it was the worst excuse for Cioppino I have ever tasted. $25 for this dish should land management in jail for consumer fraud and petty theft. Sadly, this experience has permanently scarred my opinion and respect for them. You've lost all credibility in my eyes. If you could prepare something this vile, believe it to remotely represent some version of this classic dish, serve it to your customers, and charge them $25 for it, you guys are total HACKS. read more

Terrible service. Saturday night. Busy, but not crazy. 10 minute wait to get seated. After seating, no one came by to take our drink order or introduce themselves as our server. After 15 minutes of no contact, we left. On our way out we told the hostess that had seated us that we were leaving because no one had served us since she'd seated us and she just looked at us blankly and said, "ok". Let me tell you about this pizza it pretty much has everything you can think of on it and it was stinking amazing. Our entire table thought the pizza was amazing and enjoyed ever single last slice. Now for the drinks, they had a decent wine list with well known names. I personally choose the Frank Family, I only wish they had the Frank Family cab in glass options not only bottle. If you choose to come try the pizza I highly recommend bringing the family and trying a few options. Our server was great. Went on Saturday night, we were able to get a table outside for 6, as we requested within 5 minutes. The kids play structure was extraordinarily loud, parents don't supervise, I don't believe there is anything that the place can do about that, but it is something to consider. We waited over an hour for food, the table near us got up and left because the wait was so long and it was uncomfortably loud. The staff accommodated us and let us move tables, and we finally got our food. Two of our party got cold pizza, the waiter told us he would adjust the price, but he did not. I had chicken parm, which tasted okay, but I ended up getting sick in the middle of the night. This whole experience makes me not even want to go out to dinner, it was so unpleasant. Yum! My family and I live in South Sacramento and we were furniture shopping in Rocklin one Saturday evening. After shopping, we were looking for a nice family friendly place for dinner and found Skipolini's on Yelp. They were busy for Saturday night but we did not have to wait very long for a table. My 3 year old daughter had pizza, my husband had the Italian panini and I had the Cajun pasta. Everything was delicious! I especially enjoyed my (very) tall glass of sangria. I often order home their pizza and each time I wait a long time for my order. the staff and waiters are very friendly, I appreciate their work, but their main manager is very rude. when I contact him about my observations and recommendations, the last time he suggested that I cancel the order. i had to wait for my spaghetti and 2 burgers for 50 minutes (in the car). unfortunately this overshadows my desire to return to them. read more

All I can say is wow. Whenever we order pizza to go, we order this one. So we ordered a large prego pizza to share between the 3 of us. Well, we had leftovers. It is definitely a spendy pizza but so worth it. There's a lot of herbs and spices, pizza toppings, and has a large amount of garlic. Vampires will definitely stay away from me...I think my wife might too. It's a large restaurant and they had consistent business. Our waitress was very attentive and took care of us. After dinner, they sell sorbets in the restaurants that you can take to go. There is also outdoor seating available for nice hot days like we have been having this week. I came here on a early Friday night around 5pm for dinner with my family of five. Not packed at all, at least not yet! We were promptly sat and were able to choose outside seating, it was a good night to sit outside. There is even a mini jungle gym that kids can play in. Skipolini's appears clean and well put together. Once sat we were asked what we would like to drink. Their happy hour menu is awesome. I would definitely get the calamari; for the happy hour its a really good portion for the price. Drinks were solid. The fresh margarita is solid, wine is in the $5 range and beer is a good price. I ordered the ravioli w/ the Alfredo sauce. It was really good and it comes with some bread on the side. I enjoyed it very much. Initially I thought it wasn't enough to make me full, but it definitely filled my stomach. The lasagna was really good according to my mother. All the other dishes my family said was really good. I can't comment on the pizza though. I had a great time at Skipolini's. I would recommend anyone to go there during happy hour, even on a Friday night. But to be able to enjoy a nice sit down meal without having to struggle with your toddler is worth more than 5 stars. We dropped in for a quick bite and just had a salad and a drink. First time to eat here with my wife. Went here for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and were showed to our table right away. The place has a nice rustic Italian interior feel to it -- murals and big wooden tables caught my eyes. We were attended to by a nice server named Natasha (Tash). She was very cordial and she recommended the lunch special to us -- a big slice of pizza, salad, slices of garlic bread, and a chocolate chip cookie. A complete lunch! We proceeded to order one of that and the Cajun Chicken pasta. We were nicely pleased with the flavors of the dishes were ordered and will take our kids next time. My daughter heard about the pregnancy pizza about 8 months ago. She was due 5/8/20. She called & ordered one. It cost $20 for about 6 slices. It was packed with everything on it. We drove 25 mins to get the pregnancy pizza. She ate 3 slices on 5/8/20 around 2pm. She started having mild contractions and by 1230am on 5/9/20 they were about 3mins apart. Got to Sutter around 1250am, when checked she was 5cm. She delivered her son at 1010am! Idk if the pizza was the sole reason for her contracting but she sure enough delivered the next day without complications! read more

I found this place on Yelp and went for the first time. We really enjoyed the food we ordered, too bad I didn't take any pictures because we were so hungry. Our server Kaylee (sorry if I mis-spelled or misunderstood your name) was very kind and checked in with us multiple times. We are vegetarians and we ordered the garlic fries for appetizers which were great with that spicy ranch. We ordered a veggie pizza with the creamy pesto sauce. Loved the pizza, it tasted great with that pesto sauce!! I loved the cute little gelato place they have inside the restaurant and we got some gelato as well. I really enjoyed the crème brûlée gelato and we also tried the mango which was really good too. Overall, great restaurant, great food and great experience! My visit at the Rocklin Ca location over the weekend was absolutely outstanding the Regional Manager came over to our table and made sure everything was good, his name was Victor Perez and also our server was very attentive and she picked out a very exquisite red wine to pair with our food her name was Aleyna Camacho, she was very easy-going and made some jokes here and there a very good server if you ask me. We ordered the Prego Pizza Ohhhh of course it was good we ordered some starters. A couple of our favorites are the Buffalo Prawns and the homemade garlic bread. The garlic bread was made in-house from scratch..you could taste the freshness of the bread..very crunchy and cheesy and cut into triangular shapes as you can see in the pictures, But by far our favorite appetizer is the Buffalo Prawns they are deep fried, breaded and tossed in their homemade buffalo sauce, served with ranch for dipping very crunchy and executed perfectly every time we go. I want to send a special shout out to my GF who initially called the manager over and he recognized us from previous visits. He gave us the background on the company and how the dough is made by scratch from the owner that's a secret, not even the workers know how to make this specific soft dough. read more
