First they do auto body repair and auto paint repair and that's all they do. They are the closest thing to expert in auto repair you can find. They are polite, professional, experienced, employees are all top notch for knowledge and professionalism and they stand by their work. You could spend half an hour walking around and reading all the manufacturer certifications and awards they have all over the wall. If I had to say one thing that is not the best it's parking since their parking lot was a little busy but again that is so minor it's hardly worth mentioning. The service department pulled diagnostic trouble code B0020-13, described as an intermittent open circuit on the driver's front side (curtain) airbag. Based solely on this scanner code, the technician recommended replacing the driver's side curtain airbag assembly and rechecking operation afterward. I paid $189 expecting a proper professional diagnosis -- not just a code readout. Reading a diagnostic trouble code from the controller is something I could have gotten for free at O'Reilly Auto Parts or any similar store that offers free code scans. Standard diagnostic procedure for an intermittent open-circuit code like this calls for actually inspecting the wiring harness and connector for corrosion, damage, or looseness, and measuring circuit resistance, before condemning the airbag component itself -- intermittent faults are commonly caused by wiring/connector issues rather than a failed part. Eden Prairie Nissan did not perform or document any of this wiring-level troubleshooting. They went directly from a free-tier code reading to recommending replacement of a safety-critical, expensive component approximately $2000 estimated, without doing the additional diagnostic work I paid $189 for. I'm concerned that I paid for a professional diagnostic and received nothing beyond what a free code scan would have shown, and that I was being asked to authorize an unnecessary and costly repair without proper verification.

I asked to get it fixed was told that I had to go to their shop Collison Corner, in Maple Plaine. The disaster began when I took it to their repair shop were they clearly were not qualified, and painted it, stripped it and repainted it again. They gave me the car back 3 times being multiple colors. It took 6 weeks for them to give me a garbage paint job. It literally opened and cracked all over the side panels, hood, door panels. I spent months trying to work with John O'Sullivan, who owns the gas station, who just stopped answering, his friend Curt the owner of Collison would not take my calls, after promising to fix it for months. Curts front desk lady told me stop calling he is not going to bother calling you back nor will he fix it.I have pictures taken before, during and after from the Lexus dealership. I also have emails and photos of all the errors Collison Corners made. It is over $8,000 to repair at the dealership that actually knows what they are doing, and neither business will fix my car. Everything was going great until 1 month in, 3 solid pieces of ice slid off a semi truck and slammed into our car on the highway, resulting in dents and cracks all along the passenger side of our car. I called a few auto body shops to see what my options were and it was pretty clear that I would have to replace all of the affected panels because that is just how cars are designed, apparently.  It would have been THOUSANDS to replace both passenger doors and the rear, back panel of the car. I just switched insurance and didn't want my premiums to go up just because of a freak accident like this. We also don't have the money to pay out of pocket. My priority was just to patch up the cracks so they would not rust. Tom took my call and was willing to help me do just that. We got the car back in 24 hours. It was just one more thing that I didn't have to worry about, amidst a litany of things we had to manage during a busy and already stressful month.
