I just the worst experience here so DO NOT SHOP AT TIRES PLUS HOPKINS Yesterday, I bought 2 new tires from them to be installed on the front with the used front tires rotating to replace the very old and leaking back tires - one had a screw in it. They did the opposite, putting the new tires in the back and rotating those old back tires to the front. So later that evening, leaving my activity I saw I had a flat in the front, That's when I saw what they had done! I put some in some air and drove to tires plus hopkins and parked outside it overnight. I walked home. I returned to tires plus hopkins this morning and explained the situation. I was met with indifference. I stated I would like their mistake fixed, showed her the paperwork and said I needed my car back by 1pm so I could get to work. She said that couldn't be done but that she would make it right. Curious - I asked how she was going to make it right. Then she loudly said "I don't like your attitude!" I calmly stated I don't have an attitude. I was only asking how she was going to make it right, like she said she was going to do. I stated NO, I want her store to fix their mistake. She then told me I was yelling and she didn't like my attitude. I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop! My car suddenly had an issue right before I was gonna drive 2hrs back home. I got a tow here and was absolutely blown away with the service I received, especially considering it's a National chain. Other than being friendly, respectful, and keeping me updated they truly went above and beyond. They stayed open late just for me. At one point he had to drive elsewhere to get a specific tool to finish the job, and he made sure to lock the lobby door while he was gone so I was safe. While one mechanic was working, the other chatted and kept me company. And the following day he called to make sure everything went well and that I made it home safe. Tires Plus - At The Burrows ax throwing for the 1st time. - Tires Near Me - Hopkins, Minnesota

A month ago, I thought it was funny when the Tires Plus in Burnsville recommended over $9000 in repairs for a car that's worth a fraction of that. But today's experience at the Hopkins location was no laughing matter. The tire I purchased a month ago blew out and so did my spare. At 9:30am I informed the employee that I needed to buy a replacement tire and a spare donut. The response: I was told that the donut would cost $2000 (because it would have to come from Chevy). And they had one tire in stock. I gave them my keys. The employee said he had no idea when he would get around to it, so it was good that I was leaving it there. There were two of four car stalls full. 5 hours later, I got a ride from my friend to the store. My car hadn't moved. The emailed invoice told me that the due date and time would be by 5pm. I had 3 hours to spare before 5pm. I got a call at 4:30 from Tires Plus. The d DC told me that they did not know how to open my trunk. I informed then how, encouraged them to use Google if there are any other questions. I'm still waiting for the call to get my car. It's been 12 hours. Not a professional experience at all. read more

The staffer at the desk said they could not do that until 11 o'clock when a "Technician" would be available. I went in for a free tire rotation because I had tires put on there. I inquired about a tire alignment and the salesperson and we determined if my car was tugging left or right it may prompt a need to perform an inspection but could also just be a tire balancing service that is needed. I told him no I don't need it because my car is not doing the tugging. He had the mechanic perform this service because instead of listening to me he just wanted to sell me services and products that I do not need. These are uncaring and untrustworthy people and I will not perform business with them in the future because to grab my keys I needed to pay for the inspection they performed when I told them no. My left windshield washer nozzle completely broke and I had no idea where to go. I called around and was turned away from one place already, and these guys had me in the shop within a day. I'd tried to buy a replacement but they told me here that it wasn't the right size and I'd need to order a new part from the dealer. I usually get my oil change at Tires Plus and this place is probably the closest to where I live now. I got lucky that they were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule, or else my 210,000 miles Toyota Avalon would have not survived for the whole week. The guys were very friendly and quick! Lots of haters here. I'm going to make a positive review based on my one and only experience here. I hit a pothole one day after a good sized snow fall and my car felt like it was out of alignment: my car was shaking like a salt shaker going down 394. I brought it in the same weekend. Wifey blew it off thinking that it was probably snow getting into the wheel well. Since I carry a newborn in my car, I wasn't gonna take any chances. Prior to my appointment, I test drove it one more time to see if the car shook again. It didn't. However, I'm not sure why it was shaking so bad before so I still went in. I paid $20.00 for them to confirm what Wifey already knew: nothing wrong with it. They checked the alignment and test drove the car. What impressed me is that they brought me into the work area and discussed other reasons why the car shook. He came to the conclusion that it was due to snow getting into the wheel well. Now they could've charged me $75 for a wheel alignment that I didn't need. They could've also just told me at the counter that they didn't find anything wrong and sent me on my merry way. However, I appreciate that they took the time to educate me. I'll go back here based on this excellent first impression. What's the real lesson here though? Horrible customer service terrible experience. First experience the guy lost my lug nuts and pretended he didn't have them. These are the original lug nuts I need for the spare since I have after market rims. They'll also charge you higher always do your homework before doing business here. Yesterday evening in act of desperation and against my first mind I returned to this Hopkins location. My tire went flat at the gas station across from Tires Plus on Excelsior so I drove over. I stood in line the agent asked if I could park my vehicle no problem I did then stood back in line. He helped everyone in the store now it's my turn never said hello how may I help you just stares and I tell him what's wrong with my tire. "Oh I'll have to look at it tomorrow I can't today I have to help all these people their ahead of you. Mind you there was one customer not even in line as long as I waited and took him before me then you tell me this. Very hurtful. I felt really disrespected , disappointed, and never again. read more

I took my car here because it was making a weird noise- and I was quoted over $2k worth of work that needed to be done. I was told "we aren't sure if it's this thing or this other thing, so we will just have to fix both" WHAT? They charged me $25 to change my headlight...they told me I should not drive the car at all and I should have them fix it immediately. So the next day I took it next door to the best place ever - "In Line X" No charge at all. They looked it over, determines the EXACT problem (not "well it could be this or that".) And quoted me less than half the price of tires plus. Also, they could not find the "leak" that tires plus said I had to have fixed. Never going there again- (UPDATE) I just discovered that the lightbulb they charged me $25 dollars to replace was put in wrong...I added a photo of the lightbulb for anyone to see. Nothing but excuses from them (he signed the work order....after being pressured)when I called them on this borderline FRAUD. I'm a notorious procrastinator. The amount of time I let things slip is directly correlated to how much I have on my plate, and honey, my platter is full! I've been told I need new tires for a while, but those things cost money. Real money. Paycheck money. Something of which I am severely lacking at the moment... along with time, energy, patience, and fucks to give. I finally bit the bullet after slip-sliding around the freeways of Chicagoland, skidding on the side streets near my apartment, thankfully making it up to Minnesota in one piece, and proceeding to drive like a granny for a day. It was clear that these tires would not get me through another winter, so I contacted Tires Plus and got a quote. Tires Plus gave me some great recommendations off the bat. They said I could go with Perelli tires, but highly suggested I get the Bridgestone Ecopia because they are specifically designed for my type of vehicle and the improved traction and fuel efficiency would be significantly noticeable. I called around to a few other places and found that prices were comparable but not everyone carried them and would have to special order them. This would take more time, and we've already establish that I just don't have it. My appointment was for noon and they let me know immediately that they were running a bit behind schedule. Around 1:30 they apologized again and asked if I'd like to take advantage of a discounted alignment. I said sure and that added about another half hour to the service. That was a bit annoying because I was told getting new tires would take about an hour; however, I was pleased to find that the total was less than I expected because I have the base model Prius and not the touring, so my tires were smaller and slightly cheaper. Here I was thinking I'd have to fork over $600, but it came out to about $535 for four new tires, the Tires Plus hazard warranty, and the additional alignment. I also got a mail-in or online rebate offer for $50. My tire pressure light has turned off as well. I was pretty darn happy, all things considered. read more

I made an appointment a week in advance to have my winter tires, (that I bought at Tires Plus), put on at 7:00 am. I said that I would wait there for it. I arrived early, the doors opened at 7:00, but no tech was there to work on my car. I certainly understand that things happen beyond a business's control, but there was no apology, or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. No contingency or alternative except for me to call another location or leave my car, (with no ride), until they could get to it. I had several appointments in the morning and needed my car. I love taking my car here. Always great customer service. If you sign up for a tires plus credit card, you get 10% off every time you pay with it. I do that and come back the next day to pay my bill. 10% off is super helpful when it comes to car repairs, right!? Steve D. is always the one to help me at the desk. Had an issue with my tires cupping, I was told the tires were defective. These tires were suppose to have a 50,000 mile life span, but only lasted 30,000. Went back here and talked with Steve D. My husband went to this place yesterday because his car indicated low tire pressure and he thought that Tires Plus would be a cheaper alternative to this regular high-end mechanic. He was immediately told that one of his tires was improperly patched up and given a $711 (!) estimate to fix it if he really wanted to but of course the better alternative would be to just buy and install a new set. He decided to swing by his regular mechanic instead and it took the guy all of 15 minutes to fix the tire and another problem for a total of $50 (the other problem required a new part so clearly just the tire fix would have been even less). When told what the guys at Tire Plus said, our mechanic just laughed out loud and said, what a load of bull----t, the previous patch up job was just fine and had nothing to do with anything, those guys just tried to sell you a set of tires, that's what they always do. read more

Called the store manager wanting a quote on a set of tires for my sisters car. I explained to her that I just installed all new brake pads and rotors,new front struts, lower control arms, both cv half shafts and sway bar links. Now looking for tires before winter as my sister has little kids in the car want to be safe as possible in bad weather. Booked appointment online. I was quoted a price for tires and alignment. When I get there, tire manager helps me because store manager that quoted me my price was busy with another customer. RIGHT AWAY he wants to start adding on to my bill. He wont do the alignment for the agreed on price. Wants to add eighty bucks to my bill. He must get commission on UP-SALES. He said my alignment was all messed up, funny, it took longer to park my car back in the lot than it was on the alignment rack??? Now I remember why I quit going to TIRES PLUS ten years ago.
