UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE!!! "Extremely disappointed with Skin Science Soul by Dr. Sholar. They canceled my appointment and it has now been 35 days without receiving my refund despite multiple attempts to resolve this. Poor customer service and unprofessional handling of cancellations. I cannot recommend this business to anyone when they don't honor their commitments. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere." I bought a laser hair removal package May 2025, that included 6 sessions. It was explained to me how important it was for me to keep my appointments on my hair growth cycle for my results to be the terminate my hair growth. My first appointment went great. It was 10/10. I was told by Dr. Sholar that Sydney was the laser hair removal specialist that I would be with throughout my treatment. At my second appointment, that was not true. I had a different person. It went a little differently but fine. I was treated cordially. Again after my 2nd treatment I scheduled me 3rd appointment on the date recommended by the new esthetician. On the day of my 3rd appointment I got stuck in traffic, like many of us do in Austin, so I called to let them know I would be a few minutes late. The person answering the phone said that they didn't have any laser appointments on the schedule on this day. I said are you sure? And she checked my file. She could see that my appointment had been canceled and told me that their laser person was out of the clinic for the remaining of the week. I asked that when she returned to please have her call so that I could schedule my next appt ASAP. She could also see that no one had reached out to me to reschedule my 3rd appt. Needless to say I was upset. I waited for call to get reschedule and never received one. They have AWFUL Customer Service once they get your money! I have NEVER had any contact from them after they got paid. No one has reached out to get me scheduled again for appointments that they said were so important for my results. They got their Money and Do Not care. They have not contacted me at all. So, I emailed Amy, the person the receptionist suggested. I have requested the money for the services I have not received back and was told it would take 7-10 business days on July 15, 2025. I followed up on July 24, 2025. Huge scam. I should have looked into this place a little more before I went there. I made an appointment/consult with the doctor and told the consultation would be $150 because I would be seeing the doctor. They basically harassed me about paying several days before my appointment. I paid it even though I thought it was strange to pay before the appointment. At the appointment I did not even see the doctor. I asked what I paid for and they said I paid for the skin analysis which they do for free. I said "do yall usually charge for that? " knowing it was free and then receptionist said "well no". The skin analysis was a joke too and So many things pointed to shady business practices. I spoke with Amy the director who never apologized or had any expectation for anything. She did agree to refund my money though since I paid for a service I did not receive. I asked for confirmation of the refund which I still have not received. I've called multiple times and given some strange excuse as to why. Last time I called I was told an email confirmation was sent but could take a while because of their firewall. I really wanted to like this place. And did at first so I joined the membership club. After being dissatisfied with the service and treatments, I asked for a different solution for my needs. Many unanswered questions, calls and emails later, I cancelled my membership. Now I get unauthorized charges on my account monthly. This is the place to go in Austin for a lush, exotic, extreme pampering type of experience!!! The atmosphere is mountain lodge spa in New Mexico...down to the piñon fragrance wafting through the candle-lit rooms. Truly a get-away-from it-all , retreat-type place while not that far from home. Shout out to Ryan (aesthetician) and Anita (massage therapist) for an amazing experience. Can't wait til my next visit! It is sad that my review was removed from my July visit. All I wanted when I had a complication was to have the doctor see me. All she did is text me. I have asked her to contact me so we can visit about it. As of today not a word from the Dr. . I just don't understand how a Dr. doesn't care for her patients when a complication happens? Specials almost every day, new classes constantly being added. An amazingly clean, sweet smelling, fun place. I take restorative yoga and I have fibromyalgia. I cant believe how fantastic I feel after a class with Nathan. After just five classes I am feeling a great improvement. Really relaxing. Sage and Sweetgrass has quite a variety of interesting and unique classes and massages, facials, and is managed and owned by a licensed plastic surgeon. Dr. Alina Sholar is there every day, couldn't feel more confident having a Dr. around. Lots of interesting items for gifts as well!. read more

I do not recommend this place for Botox and fillers. I went there based on friends recommendations to get botox and Dr. Scholar sold me on getting fillers as well. The filler looked horrible on me and my face felt like it was on fire for 5 days and just looked bad. Botox was a horrible job and left me with wrinkles on my forehead (where i never had any wrinkles). Later on I found out my friends, sadly, were not honest with me and just wanted to push business to the clinic. From my personal experience, I regret going there. read more

This spa is GREAT. It's a relaxing atmosphere, and has all the amenities you'd need. In the relaxation room, I helped myself to some organic tea, chocolate, and lemon water. Anita, my massage therapist, was wonderful. And the nice little touches made the massage even better--like the essential oils, warm neck wrap, and warm eye cover. They have a nice pool, spa, and sauna downstairs that customers have access too. (It's shared with the apartment complex). read more

I recently treated myself to a massage and Reiki treatment at the Sage and Sweetgrass Spa and was beyond impressed with both services. I had the immune building massage which incorporated lymphatic massage, in addition to the use of essential oils and the burning of sage, which was just the icing on the cake for me! Honestly speaking, this is the BEST massage I have EVER had. Every part of my body was massaged and I joke when I say, "Even the spots between my toes!" but it is true, she did massage there, also! After the massage, followed a much needed Reiki treatment, which was just as wonderful, as I felt completely relaxed and was able to be in the moment and enjoy it. This spa is a hidden gem and a special experience. The overall experience and the focus on wellness makes this spa a unique treasure. You go there to treat yourself, feel better and you leave wanting to come back as it is relaxing and refreshing to your soul! read more
