Nestled in a natural light, welcoming warm space up high in Old Town, he has immaculate interior design taste that strips away any typical clinical office feeling. He is the kindest and most professional provider, sending out a thoughtful intake form that is curated to you and your skin alone. Jeff runs through how your skin is feeling, your routine, what your goals are, and why you came here in the first place. I certainly needed a treatment and was very glad I came in, because I felt a whole lot better than beforehand. What I appreciated about him as well is that he truly cares for the craft of his job, really personalizing the experience for the client and truly because he loves his work. (And! He runs the show all himself; Skin Factory = Jeff.) Any other skincare facility would try to gently persuade you to buy their $50+ product, but there was no commercialism here. Every ingredient set into my skin was so fresh and high quality. My favorite part was a dead skin peeling tool he used that felt like a wonderful and cool vacuum cleaner on my face. My other favored part was an exceptional massage while you have a cleansing mask on that just lulls you to near-sleep. He carefully goes over questions and concerns, and evaluates your skin with you. It is then that he works his magic. Jeff also had a letter board that read, "Welcome Emily!" which I thought was a sweet personal touch. Jeff invited me to sit down and we discussed my skincare routine and my goals. Once I changed into the towel he provided, I laid down for my facial and I loved it! He explained what he was doing, and his fingers are magic. Okay my girl convinced and gifted me my first facial ever. I was hesitant and nervous and wasn't really even sure what to expect. But I went and allowed Jeff to take over and I can tell you I walked out of that place feeling high as a kite and just completely shocked. Jeff is amazing and really knows his stuff. I authorized Jeff to run my card for 3 facials. After the 3rd charge, I requested him to please stop the charges. He jovially acknowledged my request via text, and replied "ok, no worries, I'll take care of that for you". Yet he continued to charge my card an additional 4 times. I thought no big deal, it must be a simple mistake. When I gracefully requested a refund for the unauthorized charges he completely ghosted me and refused to acknowledge my messages sent to his business line (626) 406-1010. He ended up charging 7 facials to my account and refused to provide me with a refund. So I decided to go through my credit card company to dispute the 4 charges in question. COMPLETE INCONVENIENCE! My credit card company granted me a temporary credit for the facials that I did not authorize, but when Jeff submitted his rebuttal to dispute my claim and stated that I had receive services, they reversed the temporary credits back to Jeff. I contacted Jeff once again, this time via his business email and he claimed to be oblivious to the fact that the credits were indeed reverse to his account and firmly stood by his decision to charge my card seven times. Moral of the story is that Jeff lacks integrity. It's a shame this is the way he treats his clients. I would not recommend any type of subscription service with him. I understand that times are hard but I would never take advantage of my client trust like that, waste their time, and steal their money. It has now been well over 3 months since this incident took place so he has had more than enough time to rectify the situation by doing what is right. read more
