1. I've never left a yelp review in my life. I only use this to look at pictures of food. So I walk-in and hear "WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU" and just by hearing it you could just tell it wasn't a friendly one. So I go ahead and explain that I wanted to return this helmet (bought it 4days ago and wore it 2x NO SCRATCHES OR DINGS). NOPE we can't! Instantly. Ok would you like to explain! "It's a liability and I can't resale it without a box" I say to They/Them/Her that It was a display and it was the last one of this size. "Well it's nothing I can do with it". Mind you this right in front of two customers that are renting ski's and they're looking back at her like "that's kind of aggressive". So I ask to speak with a manager to see if it's something They/Them could help with "IM THE TEAM LEAD TODAY" And she just walks away! So I just kind of stand there and look for any signs that say NO RETURNS ON HELMETS by the register or even by the helmet section or even on the receipt. NOTHING So while I'm standing there to let her finish up with the two gentleman renting skis. A guy from the back walks up "hey my man how can I help you" i explained to him the same thing i said to the lady. (In front of her while she's helping the guys. I didn't want it to seem like I was going behind her after she's said what she's had to say) She stops what she's doing and says he wore it and it doesn't have a box. The guy is genuinely trying to help with the situation (I honestly appreciate his efforts) and he says to her "You want to call THE MANAGER" to see what he wants to do" OK! They/Them/She says "yea, but I'm going into the OFFICE" lol I watched her walk to the back and They/Them/She broke the entrance of the office and turns around says (ITS A HARD NO FROM HIM) lol I just smirked and thanked the guy and walked out. All that to say, Zero STAR type of day! I'm not mad or upset about it. Just the Customer service from that one person was trash. Lol I'll definitely be back, I like the store overall. But if this is something that's policy you should definitely have it advertised or at least on the receipt. To let the consumers know that this is what they're signing up for. That's all, That's it. It's hard to find a ski shop open during the summer for obvious reasons. However, it's also one of the best times to find a good deal. I went in to get new bindings and new boots for my second season. I wanted to try on a few different ones and they took their time and brought out north of 10 boots and walked me through all the different options, benefits, and discounts. I ended up getting both boots and bindings at near 60-70% off and ones I am very happy with. The employees are knowledgeable and honest in their feedback on what is "worth it". Will be coming back if I need more ski equipment in the future. read more

Awesome little rental spot in Sandy! We found Ski N See online and I'm so glad we did, because getting our gear here was a breeze. We made a reservation online and quickly checked in on the computer upon arrival. The staff working was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. I was fitted for boots, skis, polls, and a helmet here and it took about 20 minutes total. They have gear suitable for newbies like myself, as well as more advanced skiers and boarders like my parents! I had no issues with any of the gear I was given, though my dad did with the skis. We came back the next day and they were eager to help him find a pair that works better him. Again, A+ service and care! Half of the store is also a ski shop, and they had a really awesome selection of ski gear to choose from. My mom ended up buying a jacket! Ski N See made returns SO easy. We were in and out in about 3 minutes! The staff simply scanned the gear and sent us on our way with no issues. *Tip* if you are worried about damage, you can pay an extra $4/day for insurance so you're covered if anything does happen. I recommend! Ski N See will be our go to spot for rentals on future ski trips to Utah. So glad we found it! read more

It's so strange to me that Ski N See and Arcs are the same company, because my experience with Arcs was terrible! I come to Ski N See for my kids ski rentals and sometimes new gear. I'm very pleased with how this location and their team hooked me up with some boots, bindings, and poles and on top of all that, mounted my ski bindings at no additional charge ($50 savings)! Nice service at a good price. I was able to demo a pair of Rossi black ops skis. They did not have the best size for me but I demo'd a smaller pair and still had lots of fun on the mountain. Was able to return the skis at any store when finished with trip and on our way to airport. Would recommend and will be using them again on our next trip. read more

I've had great experiences with Ski-N-See. We've rented snowboards from this location several times. They also have a great selection of both boards and skis in the sporting goods section of the store. I'd give them five stars, but I find their website to be very misleading. So bad that I can't in good conscience recommend them. Here is a direct quote from their website: "Ski 'N See is proud to have been selected the Best Ski and Board Shop in Utah by Utah Ski Authority for 9 years in a row!" I am just a big enough nerd to want to check out claims like this for myself. What did I find? Utah Ski Authority is a bogus website registered to the Director of Client Relations at Ski-N-See (info from register.com and linkedin.com). Highly suspect! it's a hit or miss with this place. the first time i came the guy was really nice and helped me get my boots molded charged me $40. the second time i signed in at the computers waited 20 minutes for them to tell me they couldn't help. mean while all the workers were on their iPhones and talking amongst themselves instead of helping me. they helped other people even though i was there before they were. not really nice or welcoming the staff is rude and always on their phone having personal conversations instead helping people. i do not recommend this place. all I need it was a toe strap to be fixed they tried to sell me $400 straps instead of just selling me one part. read more

Great place to rent your gear for the slopes. Purchase the discounted gift card from Costco. Only downfall is that you can't use them on the discounted lift tickets they sell. It doesn't make sense since money is going to them anyway. I rented a board here and the boots they offer are the twist and lock kind. Kind of stinks since i prefer lace up ones as the boots kept becoming loose after a run. Despite the "See" in this store's name, it is not Eyewear and Opticians as Yelp would like you to believe. Ski-N-See is actually a sporting goods / ski rental store. They had a large selection of skis available for rent and prices range from around $20-36 for a ski, pole, and boot package depending on if you want the newest equipment. We went with the $36 package and got a $2 discount for bringing our own boots. We also had 25% off coupons which were given to use by our hotel. Definitely worth it to ask your hotel if they have any coupons! Service was pretty quick and there were a quite a few people working there on Sunday morning to fit our skis. We had 4 people in our group and I think we were in and out in about 30 minutes. Trust me, it is way faster and cheaper to rent your equipment in town before heading up to the slopes. Poor selection of extended sizes and snobbish, rude staff. I was looking for gear for my first ski experience, and they were reluctant to even help me look for pants due to my size. When I remarked on the 300 price tag, I was informed that skiing is an expensive hobby. When I asked if there was anywhere else I could try, one man laughingly told me to try Walmart. The manager was a little more helpful, but all he could do was wish me luck, without guiding me to a different location. I was very disappointed. read more

Worst service I've ever had at a ski shop. I went in for a very basic gouge repair in the base of my ski. This should have been a routine service & the charge should have been $20 max. Here's the short version: Got a full basic tune Friday night & picked my skis up Saturday morning. Went skiing straight after. That day skiing I had a minor gouge in the base P-Tex layer. Went back to ski n see right after skiing (still Saturday) showed them what needed to be repaired & was told it would be $13 plus the price of another basic tune. Having worked in a ski shop for several years I knew this was bs & I told them to just Ptex the gouge & I would take care of the rest. The kid helping me rolls his eyes & literally just walks away leaving me standing there with my skis. Another kid comes over & says fill out your basic info. I ask if they know that I just want the gouge ptexed & he says they'll take care of it. Im obviously having my doubts at this point but since this is (unfortunately) the closest shop to my house I decide just to stick with it. Flash forward one day. It's Sunday afternoon & I go in to pick up my skis. Causing me little surprise I see the gouge is untouched, in the same condition I dropped it off with a receipt of completion quoting me one basic tune... I inquire, am told the job wouldn't be done without the charge of a basic tune. I call bs, a manager is sent over who try's to give me the same bs & then eventually agrees just to Ptex the darn gouge. It takes him exactly 5 minutes... Then they have the nerve to say I'm getting a deal for paying another $35 dollars for a consecutive basic tune I didn't want. The fact that I know exactly how easy this job is & could have been shows a level of terribly indifferent service the likes of which I can barely comprehend. Needless to say I'll never be back to this location. My review is only an attempt to show management that the lying tactics to squeeze pennies aren't fooling anyone. Your employees lied with such conviction it was as if they actually believed their nonsense. To me, that shows someone is pulling the strings above giving these snot nosed ski punks permission (or orders) to rip people off. I called in to purchase skis, they didn't have the year I wanted but had the newer version which he quoted me a price on and I agreed to purchase. Rented from the resort shop. The crew was very knowledgable and helpful. We came to Park City for Christmas vacation....town was packed, so you can imagine how busy the resort store was. Despite the business of the shop, the staff still took the time to literally sit down with me and explain how I need to wear my ski garments and get the best fitting of the boot. Upon returning equipment ( again the store, packed!) I asked the staff for some more tips on wearing the boots so that they would not bother my shins... the staff came and sat me down, took a look at at my legs/shins and got to the bottom of what I was doing wrong. They were more than accommodating and gave top notch customer service, with their biggest concerns being customer satisfaction and truly enjoying the Park City ski experience. The equipment was also great and they had something for every level.
