They were very nice…read morewhen renting (although very gossipy, dressed very casually (jeans and hoodies) and talked about other customers--this should have been a clue). An hour into his prom, he was walking up stairs and his pants split at the crotch--humiliating for him, he was made fun of, and created an emergency for us to take him pants from home. When I looked at the pants, they were extremely worn and looked like they should never have been rented and you can easily see why they split. When I spoke to the staff upon returning them, they were rude, disrespectful, unempathetic, and told me I had to pay for the pants because they didn't go out the door ripped and we didn't say anything when he tried it on. They even went so far as to say that I should have inspected my son's crotch when he tried them on. They took no responsibility for renting overused items that would be prone to ripping (they blamed the warehouse, but wouldn't take ownership for the fact that the warehouse is also part of Skeffington's), acted like they couldn't see the wear and that 'nobody else had this problem, so it must be your son's fault'. They told me all pants look like his, so when I asked them to show me, I saw a brand new pair of pants with no wear and said they didn't see any visible wear on my son's pants (see picture). Given what happened and what it costs to rent a jacket and pants ($150), I shouldn't have had to pay for the pants rental, let alone get told I had to pay for over-rented pants. Because I refused to do that, I was told I could no longer be a customer of Skeffington's (a non-issue). I'd much rather give my business to a company that rents quality merchandise and backs it up with professional customer service.

I ordered my dresses right before Thanksgiving for my wedding and was given an arrival estimate of 12 weeks. Perfect. More than enough time for altering. 12 weeks came. 12 weeks went. 13. 14. Ashley took a lot of her time to track down my dresses - sitting on a loading dock in California and then in Dallas TX - due to a shipping strike! Couldn't believe it. She was so apologetic and kept me in the loop on everything so I was never wondering what was going on or where my dresses were. She was absolutely on top of everything. I couldn't have asked for a better advocate for me and my bridal party! The dresses came in on time and looked gorgeous. Everybody loved their dresses and I was SO pleased. And every single Modern Dress employee was an absolute doll. Loved working with all of them. Definitely go here for your prom, bridal or any other special occasion dresses.

I was very wrong, as for men the only options they have are 5 suits in the entryway of the shop. The owner was the one helping me and my mother, to which we had to ignore all her sly comments throughout and making us feel dumb because what we were looking for "just isn't a thing." A cream colored dress shirt isn't a thing? Anyways.. We end up picking the suit right off a picture basically, nothing custom or changed about it, we were settling at this point. Paid, left. Still felt very unhappy, so one hour later we arrived at a different suit store, had exactly everything I wanted and more, they were astounded to hear the story about bridal connections, said they have frequently heard complaints about them. Purchased the exact suit I wanted and everything down to the shoes. Paid $60 less, and called to get a refund from bridal connections maybe 2 hours since leaving their store. Bridal connections told us NO refund, even though they haven't ordered the suit or sent the work order in yet, we still don't get a refund since we already paid for it. She cancelled the paperwork, and told me I'm out of luck bud. We are disputing the charge with our bank of course since no service was performed or received. Overall sorry for the long book I just wrote, I would HIGHLY recommend shopping at any other place , at least for suits. This is a MONEY GRAB and a SLIMEY way for a "small business" to do business. The insults we received, the terrible quality suits and small amount of options, they just want your money and to hold on to it as long as they can. Would've even loved the owner to reach out and ask me what's wrong with the purchase, no. Complete shutdown once they receive payment. Please don't waste your money and time going here, and if they insult you I would hope you speak up for yourself unlike how we didn't!
