Good selection, but terrible customer centrism by the owner. The problem is that the owner would…read morenot honor what an associate told a customer about a returnable item. My mother-in-law is in a cast due to wrist surgery and an associate told her it was no problem to pay for the clothes and try them on at home where she could have more assistance and privacy and then just return what she didn't like or what didn't fit. She tried on the clothes that night and then brought the ones back that didn't fit or weren't what she wanted the next day by noon. The owner was NOT customer centric at all and simply recited the policy written on the receipt. While this may be a perfectly normal procedure, it is completely ridiculous when an associate specifically told her that she could return them due to the extenuating circumstances of her arm in a cast that the owner would not honor what their employee told a customer. Especially since without the associate's comment she would not have spent $200.00. Moral of the story: Expect the owner to choose policy recital over good, common business sense and quality customer service.

I love Plato's next door, and as I've gotten older have found more items that fit my more mature style at Style Encore. My mom and I enjoy shopping here. The items are reasonably priced for good quality secondhand: I got a pair of Old Navy sandals for $6 and a pair of like new Nike tennis shoes for $30. My mom got three tops, all ranging from $6-9 and super cute + in great condition. I love how organized the store is, the frequent 70% clearance items, and the quality of brands. You can always find high end shoes and bags here! In my opinion, this Style Encore is leagues above the Clothes Mentor and other stores we have in the Twin Cities as far as cleanliness, quality and price.

Service is where they really stood out. When I explained the situation, they promised to put a rush on the tailoring in case events happened more quickly than expected. Turns out, hours later I was calling as she'd passed away, with still unclear timeline on services and when I'd need to travel to be at them. Luckily, it turns out the rush was no joke. Less than 6 hours after getting fitted for the new suit, I was picking it up from Mr. B's. Everyone there knew of my situation and was there to make sure everything turned out perfect. Fit was fantastic, and they were careful to make sure I'd considered all the accessories I needed to go with it. This service was really beyond what I could have dreamed of. Years ago, I noticed that the dress shirts I wore for work that continued to stay in my rotation and I received the most compliments on were all from Backroom/Henry's. Their service is always the best, and you truly get your money's worth. I'm in the process of rebuilding my wardrobe following my weight loss and Henry's/Mr. B will be my primary source for any categories they offer.

She really took the time to get to know me and get to know what my style preferences were and understood what I needed to be able to not get overwhelmed by the options they had. She even let us go past my appointment end time because we were stuck between three options and put me back in each one to see if it could help me narrow it down and it absolutely did. Then told me the dress wasn't out of stock 1 day after telling me there were 3 left in stock. Now it's a month before my wedding and my wedding dress is literally falling apart at the seams. This should not be happening on a $2,000 dollar dress. I called the store to see what could be done and was informed that nothing could be done and I have to pay to get it fixed myself. As the lady on the phone told me this she did not sound sorry at all and was rather quite rude about it. I am not a fan of people who call businesses just to yell.
