I've never worn a suit and decided to try bridal connections. Small business, friendly phone staff, I was expecting it to be just what I needed. I was very wrong, as for men the only options they have are 5 suits in the entryway of the shop. The owner was the one helping me and my mother, to which we had to ignore all her sly comments throughout and making us feel dumb because what we were looking for "just isn't a thing." A cream colored dress shirt isn't a thing? Anyways.. We end up picking the suit right off a picture basically, nothing custom or changed about it, we were settling at this point. Paid, left. Still felt very unhappy, so one hour later we arrived at a different suit store, had exactly everything I wanted and more, they were astounded to hear the story about bridal connections, said they have frequently heard complaints about them. Purchased the exact suit I wanted and everything down to the shoes. Paid $60 less, and called to get a refund from bridal connections maybe 2 hours since leaving their store. Bridal connections told us NO refund, even though they haven't ordered the suit or sent the work order in yet, we still don't get a refund since we already paid for it. She cancelled the paperwork, and told me I'm out of luck bud. We are disputing the charge with our bank of course since no service was performed or received. Overall sorry for the long book I just wrote, I would HIGHLY recommend shopping at any other place , at least for suits. This is a MONEY GRAB and a SLIMEY way for a "small business" to do business. The insults we received, the terrible quality suits and small amount of options, they just want your money and to hold on to it as long as they can. Would've even loved the owner to reach out and ask me what's wrong with the purchase, no. Complete shutdown once they receive payment. Please don't waste your money and time going here, and if they insult you I would hope you speak up for yourself unlike how we didn't! read more

Brides beware! This was the WORST experience I had. I visited 6 bridal stores in the area - this one, the manager was beyond rude, wanted to upcharge my appt. and then tried to also upcharge me another $75 on the quote for the dress, and $30 for a bag. NO other shop charges this. They badmouthed other places to me as well - very unprofessional. If you want a bad experience and possibly your wedding day ruined, then this is the shop for you. 10000/10 recommend! I cannot recommend enough! We talked and chatted and I told Lara how I've been struggling to find a dress and that I was feeling overwhelmed and worried I wouldn't find one. Come to find out, the first dress we tried on, she picked for me and I said YES! Mind you I am picky and have had at least 5 appointments trying on dresses and could not find one. The first dress I put on I knew it was the one and I said yes! Not only that, the price compared to all of the other places we have been is much much cheaper. The try on was one on one and Lara, along with the girls were so sweet and helpful to work with. Like I said, my family cannot recommend enough. They go above and beyond for their customers and it is so appreciated. I felt so loved and seen and the "I said yes" celebration is unmatched! I purchased a dress here in October of 2021. Tammy was my stylist and she was amazing! She helped me find "the one" and it was only my first time trying on dresses. She was very attentive and seriously the sweetest! Today the shop owner went absolutely above and beyond to help me with a situation that came up. She could've told me tough luck, but she was SO empathetic and kind and helped me find a resolution. Worst experience ever; bought my daughter's wedding dress here along with renting all the suits for the wedding party. Drove 5 hours round trip so we could be measured by the staff there. Requested the wedding dress to be cleaned and pressed with a pickup date of two days before the ceremony. Wedding dress was not done on time and was promised it would be ready in 30 and that the store would call when ready--no call had to pick up the following day. The dress had makeup on the bodice and the hem was not even. None of the suits were measured properly , incorrectly shoe sizes were ordered too. Had to return the following day 1 1/2 hr drive and still was the suits were wrong. 30 minutes before pictures day of the wedding the store dropped off my sons suit. I had to request it be delivered to the wedding venue. The store manager/owner NEVER once called to apologize or offer to help in any way. Save yourself the trouble and avoid using this store for anything. read more

Horrible experience. I was the maid of honor in my friend's wedding and this is where she sent us to order our bridesmaid dresses. Long story short, they ordered them well after we sent in our orders so they were VERY late to arrive. I ordered mine in September and they said I should have it around Christmas. I didn't receive it until late February (just 10 days before the wedding). Also because they were so late, the shop said they would overnight the orders to us. The sent everyone else's overnight, but sent mine ground. I live in Texas and the rest of the girls are in Iowa, if there was one to overnight, it should have been mine (no brainer). read more

Do not recommend getting your tuxes here and save yourself the time and headache. First they are way overpriced (recommend skeffintons as they are at least $100 cheaper). The tuxes were supposed to arrive the Monday before the wedding and even made appointment only to get a call saying they did not arrive. Then they said Thursday (day before the wedding), they made an appointment and arrived at the appointment (50 minute drive) and had to wait around for a couple hours only to be told that they still weren't there and would have to get them the next day. Bridal connection had to have UPS bring them to the venue at noon and had to hope that they would fit for the wedding that evening. My bridesmaid dress was cheaply made and started ripping in 3 different spots and paid quite a bit of money for it. Employees also made rude comments during my fitting as well as rude comments about some of the groomsmen being not an athletic fit and that's why they didn't fit in the slim fit tuxes. read more

I would not recommend to anyone to go to bridal connection in Ankeny for anything wedding related. First off, I did find my dream dress. But, the lady did not follow the budget I had mentioned I didn't want to go over. Secondly, the groomsman situation was not handled in a professional matter and it was very, VERY unorganized. I'm not sure the woman's name who was working June 23 around 5:00. But, she was the one who handlers my situation unprofessionally and very poorly. Does things that happens was, my dad suit was the wrong color and two of my groomsman did NOT have their suspenders. I went in there already upset because my dads suit was the wrong color. I told her about the situation and she literally asked me to give her proof to really see if my dad had the wrong suit color. I showed her the picture he sent me, and she went to "double check" in the front to see if the correct suit was there, and what do you know....... it was in the front rack. They sent my dad home with the wrong suit and tried blaming it on him, it was his fault that he took the wrong suit. Even though they were the ones who let him try on the wrong suit and let him walk out with the wrong suit. After she got the "correct" suit, this lady literally told me to calm down and not get upset. Even though they have screwed everything up two days before my wedding, how am I not going to be angry right? After that whole situation was done, I found out that two of my groomsman didn't have their suspenders. One of them wouldn't get here till Friday and the other one wouldn't be here till the morning of my wedding. You can see the stress this company and staff put me in by THEIR mistakes. They showed me the paper where all the correct order information was written. But, a lot of things were ordered wrong. Then, once the last suspended came, the morning of my wedding mind you. This TERRIBLE company and TERRIBLE employees tried charging my father to pay for the new order when it was THEIR mistake. They also gave my husbands free tuxedo to one of the groomsman when it was supposed to go to him. Soooooo, I would go somewhere that isn't bridal connection because they are all sorts of unprofessional and very unorganized. Take it from a bride who just got married this past weekend. I took my daughter in on a whim as we needed a prom dress pretty quickly as the one we ordered online just wasn't going to work! I was concerned that buying a prom dress in a wedding dress shop was going to be very expensive. It turns out she carries many of the dresses we had seen online at very competitive prices plus we got the fun of trying on lots of dresses as well as being able to feel the fabrics and see the detailing in person rather than through pictures! The staff was wonderful to work with! They pulled beautiful dresses that fit the criteria we gave them. We had plenty of options even though it's very close to prom season starting! Overall a wonderful experience... we will definitely be back for homecoming and prom season for her senior year! read more

I was very happy with Bridal Connection until purchasing my veil. I had no idea that my aunt was making me a veil as a surprise and something special for my wedding; therefore, I purchased one and never even took it out of the store. I feel the veil was WAY over priced to begin with but the store refuses to return it due to store policy. I could see it if I took the veil out of the store but I never even touched it. The lady just put it with my dress. I am very disappointed in the service and feel the need to give others a heads up as well when purchasing from Bridal Connection. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. This little unassuming store looks a little run down and has a smallish selection, but the service was top notch! I originally chose this place because they were the only store in the area that carried the dress I was obsessed with. I thought I would just go in, see that dress on me, and walk out with it. Unfortunately it didn't look great on me, and we proceeded with trying on a couple others. Hailey was awesome and patient, seemed genuinely interested in my wedding style and what I was looking for, and gave me honest feedback about what was working and what wasn't. She helped me with undergarments, changing in and out of dresses, and pairing shoes and accessories with each dress. Also she was not pushy at all! The one I chose was the least expensive of the bunch and I thought she might try to upsell me, but she agreed it was the best. I found THE ONE much faster than I thought I would! I went here to find a dress for my wedding in August of 2016 and the appointment went well--the consultant was really friendly, the selection was alright, I found a few dresses in my budget and style and found one I loved which I bought. That's when things went right downhill. The dress I picked is a gorgeously beaded gown that's also form-fitting but without the benefit of any boning or structure so it follows the body very naturally. I've put on 40 or so pounds lately so it wasn't too flattering but I had just started a diet and let my sales consultant know. She said that was fine but insisted on ordering the dress two sizes larger than my current (at the time) 40 pounds over my target weight. I unfortunately didn't want to argue and be a bridezilla so I went with it. My mom signed the paperwork and I did and we put our money down and it was ordered. A couple months go by and I've dropped 20 pounds or enough for two inches off my waist. I call in to the store to see if the dress can be refitted and altered and am told that no the dress will likely only go down two sizes due to the beading. I ask to speak to the ordering manager and am told she's out but will call back. Three business days go by without a call back so I go in person to speak with the ordering manager (Selena I believe her name is). Again she's not there but I'm told by her daughter, one of the sales consultants, that she'll have her call me as soon as possible and that the dress should be able to be reordered at this point ( late September). I wait another week and still no call from Selena although I left another two messages at the bridal shop for her. I go back, in person, and she's standing at the desk when I mention that I'm looking for Selena who hasn't returned my three requests for a phone call. She immediately acts shocked and says she never heard about this (meaning her own daughter didn't pass the on to her, a complete load of bullshit) and told me that it was too late to reorder the dress (again contradicting her daughter), but that it can be resized by 8 inches total without dealing with the beading. My dress has still not arrived so I don't know whether or not she was actually being truthful and won't until mid-November. TL;DR: Don't order your dress here, the consultants are pushy and absolutely paid by commission in the worst way, and the managers don't take the time of day to return calls and lie when confronted face to face. Save the headache and shop at Pure Bridal in Ames or Something Blue in Ankeny. read more

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding earlier this month, and all the dresses and tuxes came from Bridal Connection. As a bridesmaid, this experience couldn't have been easier for me. Lara and her staff were so pleasant to work with - chatting with me about the wedding every time I came in, oohing and aahing over the dress when I picked it up, and always friendly and helpful. The bride knew exactly what she wanted, and even though they didn't have it there on the floor, they made it very easy for us to feel confident ordering the dresses sight unseen - showing us other samples from the same designer, approximating the fabric color, and describing the fit. Even though we'd chosen them out of a catalog, our bridesmaid's dresses came in and fit each of us perfectly - no alterations needed. It's a small store with lots to see - but it was certainly among the most pleasant places we visited in our dress hunt. I would certainly recommend Bridal Connection to any of my friends with upcoming weddings. read more

I am very discouraged to hear that my fiance was in last night to look at dresses and was pressured into buying impulsively simply on the fear of losing discounts. Rather than being allowed to come back and get the best possible price on a gown simply because she chose to shop at this establishment, she may very well have and most likely would have returned anyway but now she will not and will discourage friends from future purchases. High pressure sales tactics and preying on women should be reserved to car dealers and mechanics and not a place where women are already under stress planning their big day. We won't be spending any more money at this store after the dress is paid for that we are locked into simply because of sales tactics when she hasn't gotten a chance to really shop around and the owner/sales people convinced her to buy only after showing dresses all significantly over the budget that was shared from the beginning. Set up an appointment for $50. You go in thinking, I spent this money so they are going to be good. They know my price range, they sent out a questionnaire with what styles I am interested in, and the place must be super clean with many options. Nope. You would think for having to pay a fee for an appointment, they would have some dresses out already for me to try on or be a little more attentive. The service was not the best. The attendant took me to one little section based on the size of my body and just stood there. The dresses were not organized by price either. I felt very limited. I then asked, "are these the only dresses I can try on?" And she said, "well, you could try the others on but it would be hard because they won't fit you." Part of the dress buying experience is to make the bride feel comfortable no matter her size. I also made the mistake of telling her that I found a gown I really liked at my previous appointment and she kept making snarky comments about that. When it came time to actually try on the dresses I was limited to try on, she hung up the dress on a hanger and left the fitting room. I had to unzip the hanger, put the dress on myself, and then call her in to help me get zipped up and fitted into the dresses. There were multiple times I almost fell because I could not get my footing in the dress. I then had to take it off and hang it up myself. If you decide to go here to look for dresses, I highly suggest making this place your first stop and save the better experiences for later in your day so you don't feel disappointed for having to spend money on a lousy appointment. read more

I tried on a few dresses here because I had a good experience with them when a girlfriend of mine got her dress there. It was OK until they found out that I was going elsewhere to try on dresses that same day (hello, shop around!). They have a small selection, but carried Justin Alexander (which I love. The staff is really nice. The owner (or manager?) is another story. I sort of knew what I wanted, but was looking to try some other things. "The Dress" was at Bridal Connection so I couldn't help trying it on, even though I'd be trying on the same one later that day at a consignment shop (for less than half the price). I (of course) loved the dress and the owner was MORE THAN PUSHY trying to sell it, even though it was well over the budget I told them upon coming in ($1000). I kept telling her I wasn't interested because I just started shopping and my wedding was in 2 years. Instead of listening, she tried to push off their new vacation business and offer a trip, which I said we weren't interested in. I restated my budget and she continued listing off trips. I told her that we really weren't interested because we had something else planned for our honeymoon. After 10 minutes of frustration and awkwardness of being confronted with rude sales tactics, one of my ladies blurted out that I don't want the dress bc I'm trying it on for a lower price at the consignment shop. At this point, we gathered our things and started to leave. Although the staff member was nice about this, the owner followed my group out the door and YELLED at us the whole way about going somewhere different. As a last ditch effort she even LIED and told me that the dress I was going to try on was in the window for months and was probably faded (I found out this was a lie because the dress is tea length and their mannequin doesn't have feet -- they wouldn't have used it in the window). I was SO appalled by this woman that even though I had found the perfect accessories there I refused to step foot in her business again. I kept getting phone calls from them months after this experience. I had asked them to remove me from their list because I'd already purchased a dress, but they kept calling. I finally ended up yelling at the poor girl on the other end (which I feel bad about because it's not her fault she works for a horrible person). I told her about my experience with the owner and that I was seriously not going to spend money with them. This happened in August of 2014 (for reference) so perhaps they have a different owner. I have both a four-letter and a five-letter word to discribe this woman, which I will spare you here. Also: I ended up getting The Dress that day at Perry Bridal, and it was perfect aside from needing to be tailored and ironed. For $700 (plus cost of alterations). read more

After shopping for wedding dresses at a few stores in California, I decided to look in Iowa while I was home visiting my family. I have to say that this experience was not nearly as positive as my experience at the 2 stores I visited in California. It started off very well: we showed up 10 minutes early for our appointment, but someone was ready to help us immediately and she began by asking details about my wedding and the type of dress and price point. She assured me they had lots of dresses in my price range (under $1000) and she said she would pull a few and also welcomed us to look through the racks ourselves, which was cool (other salons I've been to have not invited us to just browse like that). Style-wise, she did a great job picking dresses that matched my selection. Browsing through the racks, I did not find anything else that appealed to me that she hadn't already grabbed or mentioned. However, budget-wise, I wasn't presented with a single dress under $1000 and she tried to get me to try on many that were significantly more expensive. I didn't appreciate this sales tactic, which seemed pushy. Although she encouraged me they could "work with me" to negotiate a price, it seemed pretty clear to me that they were hoping I'd try on a much more expensive dress, fall in love with it, and beg "mummy dearest" to buy it for me...but I don't work like that. I also felt like she was not very upfront about the fact that the dresses she was showing me were way out of budget. She told me she wanted me to try on one dress with spaghetti straps, which I decided to skip because that's not the style I'm looking for. I later glanced at the price tag and saw that one was over $1600, although there was no mention of that to me. She also encouraged me to try on a dress that she said was just perfect but "slightly" out of my budget. It was $1700+!! I wouldn't call "70% more than the budget", "slightly out of the budget". I found this distracting and I was surprised, because at the places I've been before this the consultants were much better at bringing me things that were in my budget or at least very close (I would consider $1100 or $1200 pretty close but certainly nothing over $1500 as close). I ended up trying on only two dresses, one of which was $1300 (again presented to us as within our budget...um, not really!) and one that was just over $1000. They were very similar styles and I liked them both, although the cheaper one probably slightly more so. Again, no dresses technically within my budget - just one that was very close and one that was fairly close. I realize that I've contradicted myself somewhat - on the one hand I'm saying there were no dresses in my budget given to me, but I've also acknowledged that there were no dresses in my chosen style (lacy and not strapless) that I didn't see. So by that logic, there were no dresses in my chosen style within my budget. I understand that not every store has every dress ever made, but I would much rather they have been upfront about that fact and then offered me a couple dresses in my chosen style near my budget and a couple dresses in my budget that weren't quite the right style. Basically I felt they were trying to trick me, which I did not appreciate. I was also very disappointed when I was trying on dresses that they did not allow me to take photographs of the dresses. I realize this is fairly common, although I hadn't experienced it yet. However, this is an absolute dealbreaker for me, and I will not buy a dress, especially the most important/most expensive dress I'm ever going to buy, without seeing photos of it. If there's anything I've learned from previous dress-shopping trips, its that you can love a dress on and then realize it doesn't photograph well or is more revealing or less flattering than you thought. I'm spending thousands of dollars to have someone take thousands of photos of me on my wedding day and I want a dress that photographs well. So if that is their policy, fine, I respect it, but I'm not going to buy from them. She was also less open about providing brand/style number than other stores I've been to (to be fair, I didn't press for style number because I knew I could easily find it online knowing the brand). But it wasn't offered to me like it was at other places. Bottom line: Although the staff was friendly and competent, I did not appreciate what I perceived as secrecy about price/brand/style number and the upselling tactics. I also feel very strongly about their no-photos policy, which I realize is not unique to them. I don't know that I would have come here had I known about the no-photos policy (one of many reasons I wish Yelp had more of a presence in the midwest!) Overall they had some nice dresses, although (like many stores) not a large inventory of lace dresses that aren't strapless, but the policies & sales tactics put me off. read more

CURVY GIRLS BEWARE!!! Made and appointment and was so excited not even a minute after met the sales person I was informed NONE of their (bridesmaid) dresses would fit. To give some comparison I wear a 12 in most jeans. Sometimes a 10 or 14 depending. They had 1 dress for me to try on that was a 20. The next size down was a 14 and next up was a 28. The treatment and overall service was lacking. It felt like they believed they were above curvy girls. They boasted about the best dress selection for brides. Well it is not the same for bridesmaid. Add to that I was honest that I needed to try on a dress for a wedding in another state and would be purchasing it from that store. Had they been kind and open I would have a race review but I cannot. You can tell a stores true character by if they are willing to help a customer no matter what. Just sad. The minute we walked into the Bridal Connection we were treated great! Bailey was awesome and she really took the time to talk with my daughter to find out not only about the type of dress she was looking for but about her! She was so patient and helpful! I bought my dress here in December of 2011 (at their old location, which was also beautiful) and had the most amazing experience! I was a plus size bride, and not ONCE did they make me feel like I had fewer options or that I couldn't wear something because of my size - which is probably one of the biggest reasons why I loved my experience so much. At my dress appointment and all of my fittings, they always made me feel beautiful and special - like a princess! I never had any issues with the alterations department - in fact they downsized my dress (because I had lost quite a bit of weight after purchasing the dress) three sizes, shortened it and fitted a jacket to me for a very reasonable price and did a wonderful job. Also, just to follow up on some other reviews I've seen, never once when either I went there or my friend went there did they not have our alterations done. They were also complete and they were very accommodating to anything that wasn't quite right - it was always fixed at the next appointment. This past winter, I had the honor of going with one of my dear friends to their new location - and she bought her dress there as well! Lara made sure the day was all about the bride and made sure she felt comfortable and beautiful through the whole process. Lara also followed us into the bridesmaid section to help us all select a dress and color that worked for all of us. She was so knowledgeable and made the whole day wonderful. Plus - the new location is gorgeous! The dresses are displayed beautifully, there is a wonderful selection, there's so much space and every bride has her own little area. Unlike some of the other stores we went to with my friend beforehand, the dresses are not all crammed together so you have to pull them out to see them - they are in clear plastic bags (so the samples are in great condition), and they have a wide range of styles and prices without having a thousand dresses. At all of our appointments - as a bride with my own dress experience and as a friend of the bride's these couple months - every thing was very personal, special and all about the bride! Not once in any appointment did we feel rushed to finish an appointment or pressured into making a decision. The staff is friendly, accommodating, knowledgable and just wonderful! The Bridal Connection was my second stop on the "Find My Wedding Dress" week, and I probably should have just stopped when I entered this salon. I was blown away! First off, I entered the building and at the front desk was a WELCOME ASHLEY sign, welcoming me to my appointment. What wonderful attention to detail. I was paired up with a consultant named Katie, and she was the epitome of what you would expect from an upscale bridal salon. She walked us into the salon and it was breathtaking. The bridal salon is chic. Something you would see in a big city, like Chicago or New York. And why shouldn't Ankeny/Des Moines brides have that big city experience?! As a Chicago native, it was a pleasant surprise to find this gem. I came into the salon having an idea of what I was looking for, and showed pictures to Katie. She took the time to LISTEN, ask me about my venues, and get a feel for our wedding ideas. She let us walk around and pull my own dresses from the racks, but then she also pulled some dresses from the back, and continued to do throughout the appointment. And let me tell you, she is amazing at her job. It only took several dresses before I found 'the one', but I held back knowing I still had other appointments around town that week. But, Katie was so professional. She didn't pressure me, she didn't try to force me into a decision. She told me to 'sleep on it', but quite frankly I could not sleep at all that night because all I could think about was how AMAZING the dress was that I found at the Bridal Connection. I went back the next day, after having an appointment at another popular bridal salon in town, but the pull of that JUSTIN ALEXANDER dress, Katie's impeccable service brought me back to the Bridal Connection less than 24 hours later. The Bridal Connection is a masterpiece in bridal experiences. Run by Lara who came over to personally introduce herself after my appointment -- its no wonder why the Bridal Connection is a top bridal salon in the Greater Des Moines area (They also do bridesmaids, prom dresses and suit/tux rentals too!!!) Everything I wanted my bridal experience to be, was at the Bridal Connection. I will cherish the memory of this experience for the rest of my life! I have to say, The Bridal Connection is hands down the best bridal store I have ever visited! The store itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to make sure they had a happy client with me. Not only did I get my bridal gown there, we also got bridesmaid dresses and tuxes for our guys! Our wedding was perfect and much of that has to do with the Bridal Connection! I purchased an off the rack dress from this shop. When I purchased the dress I was told that it could be taken out, so that it would fit right. One month before my wedding they realized they were looking at the lining of the dress and in fact it could not be taken out. They were able to make a few minor changes so that I could squeeze into my dress- after losing about 5 lbs. Then to make matters worse they did not clean up the dress before my wedding day. There were a ton of strings hanging from the beads...which I didn't realize till I went to put the dress on. This company claims rush weddings are welcome. I would not send my worst enemy to this bridal shop. What a nightmare! Needless to say they didn't do anything for me after selling me a dress they couldn't really alter to fit me AND it looked like crap on my wedding day. read more

I purchased my gown from bridal connection for my wedding this coming September. After an entire day going to several stores, this was our last stop and I was so refreshed! The outside is a bit run down, but the inside is lovely, with the dresses all nicely laid out and the sitting areas very bright and welcoming. The staff were lovely and helpful. And when I knew I had found the one, they popped the champagne! So sweet. Most impressive however, has been their careful attention to detail in my alterations. I am picky and a bit type A and they have been nothing but accommodating of all the changes I wanted made. The owner herself helped us; I really appreciated the special attention and obvious interest in her job. In addition, they offer a convenient in house travel service! I can honestly say that I could not be more happy to be a Bridal Connection Bride. The staff at the Bridal Connection have been more than helpful as well as enthused to work with me. The Bridal store is somewhat small, but has everything that I needed and I was far from overwhelmed (that's a plus). After picking out my gown, the consultant brought me next door to the Connection to pick bridesmaids dresses. All I can say is that we had a blast, the Connection is HUGE and was full of formal wear!!! I just absolutely LOVED it!! read more

I do not recommend getting your dress from Bridal Connection. The owner is extremely hard to work with. My dress came in in the wrong size, and they tried to tell me that was the size I ordered, even though I had a contract that clearly stated otherwise, They did nothing to compensate me for their obvious error. They took an experience that should have been fun and enjoyable and made it memorable for all the wrong reasons. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Today, I said YES to the DRESS! And I can't say enough how great my experience was at Bridal and Prom Connection with Kimberly. I gave her an idea of what I was looking for and we went on the hunt. I felt guilty trying on so many dresses, but Kimberly was not only patient as she helped me get in and out of each dress, but she was also so efficient! Kimberly had a system to help me in the dress, got it clipped and zipped and bang we were in front of the mirror! She never scoffed at me trying one on, seeing instantly that I didn't like it and wanting to move to the next, she was supportive and said "okay - let's keep going!" When I found one that I loved she would remark "this is the first time you've said the 'L' word about a dress!" and she would call me on "you're trying to convince yourself you like it - there's nothing wrong with going with your gut." We narrowed down my favorites, we talked about potential alterations (and yes, they do alterations!) and when I knew we had found it, we celebrated with Champaign as my Mom cried! So excited to have one more thing checked off my list and am SO ready for the call that I can start alterations and fittings!!!!!! read more
