The Bridal Connection was my second stop on the "Find My Wedding Dress" week, and I probably should have just stopped when I entered this salon. I was blown away! First off, I entered the building and at the front desk was a WELCOME ASHLEY sign, welcoming me to my appointment. What wonderful attention to detail. I was paired up with a consultant named Katie, and she was the epitome of what you would expect from an upscale bridal salon. She walked us into the salon and it was breathtaking. The bridal salon is chic. Something you would see in a big city, like Chicago or New York. And why shouldn't Ankeny/Des Moines brides have that big city experience?! As a Chicago native, it was a pleasant surprise to find this gem. I came into the salon having an idea of what I was looking for, and showed pictures to Katie. She took the time to LISTEN, ask me about my venues, and get a feel for our wedding ideas. She let us walk around and pull my own dresses from the racks, but then she also pulled some dresses from the back, and continued to do throughout the appointment. And let me tell you, she is amazing at her job. It only took several dresses before I found 'the one', but I held back knowing I still had other appointments around town that week. But, Katie was so professional. She didn't pressure me, she didn't try to force me into a decision. She told me to 'sleep on it', but quite frankly I could not sleep at all that night because all I could think about was how AMAZING the dress was that I found at the Bridal Connection. I went back the next day, after having an appointment at another popular bridal salon in town, but the pull of that JUSTIN ALEXANDER dress, Katie's impeccable service brought me back to the Bridal Connection less than 24 hours later. The Bridal Connection is a masterpiece in bridal experiences. Run by Lara who came over to personally introduce herself after my appointment -- its no wonder why the Bridal Connection is a top bridal salon in the Greater Des Moines area (They also do bridesmaids, prom dresses and suit/tux rentals too!!!) Everything I wanted my bridal experience to be, was at the Bridal Connection. I will cherish the memory of this experience for the rest of my life! Thank you Lara for having an amazing salon, and thank you to Katie my consultant who helped me say 'YES TO THE DRESS' and to the Bridal Connection!! :) read more

When deciding where to order tuxes for our wedding we decided on this shop because my bride got her dress from here and it made things easier or so we thought. On the tux paperwork that we received after ordering the tuxes it states that the tuxes would be available for pickup the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. We waited until Friday morning as our extended family all had to travel and we were all going to get fitted together. The excuse for not having our tuxes there was that the tuxes had been sent to another store and that they would have them shipped so they were there on Sat (the day of the wedding). They all came on the morning of the wedding and all ten of us drove 35 min one way down to ankeny (again) to try on the tuxes. They had a seamstress there that did the three alterations that were needed and we were out the door by 10:30 for 12:00 pictures which was good. My bride and all of the women in our families had to spend the morning of our wedding setting up by themselves with no help from any of us because of this dilemma. We did not recieve any communication that the Bridal Connection was having any issues with our order prior to going down to get fitted which leads me to believe that the tuxes had never been ordered at all. Our bridal paperwork folder had not been put in the pickup basket behind the desk with the other order that was being picked up that day which further supports them not ordering the tuxes prior to our Friday arrival. I am glad that they were able to get the tuxes there in time but that is not how I would have liked to spend the morning of my wedding. Supporting small business is a good thing but the Bridal Connection seems to have dropped the ball on this one. read more

My experience at Bridal Connection was amazing! The staff was very kind and helpful to me, my family, and my bridesmaids. When I first went there I wasn't sure what type of silhouette I was looking for, but my consultant was very helpful and she found me the perfect dress. The beading was amazing, it was more than I could ask for. The sihouette that I picked was a mermaid dress and it just hugged me in all the right places and I felt amazing.. If it wasn't for their great customer service I don't know what I would have done. I was already in over my head with the wedding and the staff here at Bridal Connection really helped me enjoy my shopping experience and was a big part in making me look amazing on that special day read more

I had looked at several other stores for dresses and was very impressed with the service I received at The Bridal Connection. I worked with Tori and she was very helpful in finding the style and vision I best had in mind while also pulling some dresses off the rack in my price range. Going in, I had some idea of what I wanted but Tori and the staff were awesome at helping me and giving me ideas I hadn't thought of. It was very efficient and they answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. Only bummer was not being able to take pictures but that is common. I highly recommend this bridal store! read more

I had the most remarkable experience at Bridal Connection in Ankeny, Iowa. The staff and owner, Lara Bunkers are wonderful, everyone made me feel so special, they answered all my questions, and paid attention to the small details such as adding a belt to the dress or a bracelet to match my pearl necklace. I was also impressed by the personal care given by the seamstress who made sure all my alterations were just right. I would recommend every bride to check out Bridal Connection, you will not regret your experience, in fact you will create memories of a lifetime. read more
