Finally got to try this chicken khachapuri the other day after hearing about it for years. We ordered online and pickup was seamless. The bread was so soft, delicious and dipping it into the chicken and egg was a fun way to share a meal. The flavors were so complex, it actually made me feel full pretty fast. Enjoyed trying this unique dish!

Absolutely amazing! This was my first time trying this cuisine, and I was completely blown away! The food was incredibly delicious, full of flavor, and honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. I'm so glad I decided to try Skalka, and I can't wait to come back. The staff is super nice as well. Highly recommend!

Chicken boat (wooow the cheese has such a silky-milky taste!!)

Wow after having this spot bookmarked for a few years I'm happy to have finally tried it.....one of the comfiest foods that I've had in the city! I had the chicken boat. Hearty, tasty, not overly greasy/salty at all. The bread is amazingly pillow-soft, and the cheese.....phew suuuper smooth and silky! The chicken with the tomato sauce gives it a savory marinara/shakshouka vibe to it. These boats are made to order; I got my boat about 15 min after ordering. Order at front kiosk. The gentleman who handed the order was all smiles. Small cozy interior. I visited on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all.

Entrance is not accessible. There are 2 steps, so it was annoying to get in with a stroller. Once inside, there's just a self-serve kiosk. I had ordered and beeped my card only to find out 10-15mins later that my order didn't go through and I had to reorder. It wasn't necessarily anyone's fault, but if you order with a person this doesn't happen. Toilet is broken in restroom. But the FOOD! Was amazing. They serve only one type of dish, which is like a bread boat with cheese inside and or other filling. I got the one with spinach and cheese - it is enough for 2 ppl but I finished it on my own as a very hungry pregnant lady. We also got 2 more to go - one with beans and bacon (Lobiani) and the other with beef stroganoff. Both were delicious, although the beans & bacon one has a bit of spice. I would 100% recommend eating in person though, because everything is perfect and melty when it's fresh.

I never tried khachapuri before and I'm really glad I did! This spot is a quick 10 min walk down from Pike's Place and it's quite spacious with several seats. They now do a self serve kiosk with 2 workers. Tbh it was a bit unclear if this was a self serve or they would come to you, but it was definitely more casual dining. - Adjatuli Boat (5/5): such an interesting combination of beans, pickled hot pepper (spoicy and sour!) and the cheese and gooey egg yolk. This was around $20 with tax and was definitely enough to eat between 2 people. Great spot- definitely worth a visit!

One of my favorite places in downtown Seattle to eat. Amazing view of the Seattle Great Wheel while you chat with loved ones and eat a delicious shared meal. Service is kind and restaurant is clean and bright. The food is so amazing and we always get extra pickles and extra yolk! My boyfriend and I really love this place and always find ourselves thinking about it and returning. Definitely recommend Skalka as it never disappoints!

Simple flavors that pack a punch! I mean, how can you go wrong with bread, cheese, and egg? I got the beef stroganoff khachapuri which I enjoyed. The balance between the creaminess of the stroganoff and the pickles was good as well. The size is good to split between two people. The store is bright and clean with tables inside. You order by tablet and the khachapuri takes a bit of time to be prepared.

We stopped in for a late lunch after walking the Seattle boardwalk. We ordered 2 boats on their iPad and waited about 15 - 20 minutes for our food to be ready. We ordered one of their original boats and chicken one. They arrived piping hot and they were delicious! I have always wanted to try Georgian food and this hit the spot! I'd recommend the chicken one. We'll be back!

We swung by Skalka on a Christmas morning since this was one of the few places that were open. Overall, the ambience was very casual but clean. We didn't see anyone at the reception so we decided to order at the kiosk and seated ourselves. Later, someone came to greet us and informed that our order would take around 15 mins. We were a huge party so we were surprised that we got our order so early, especially on a Christmas morning. The food came in piping hot. We got khachapuris (both veg and meat versions). The bread of the khachapuri was so fresh and soft. The filling was stuffed and very delicious too. The veg version wasn't that flavorful but the meat versions were really tasty.

This place was open on the holidays. Pretty good khachapuri, not the best one I've had but still very good. One order of this is quite a lot of food. Enough for two people. There wasn't a very large drink selection so we just started our morning with some hot tea. The staff there were very nice. A moderate amount of seating.

I've been to this place at least once every time I go to Seattle! I really like the beef stroganoff khachapuri, it's basically what I get every time. So we did this time plus some hot teas! Although it's a self service to order and pay,I noticed how friendly the staff was. The restaurant is pretty casual and quiet most of times I've been there.

First-time trying Georgian bread (~$18) and I loved it! You're supposed to mix the egg yolk and the cheese together first and then peel the bread to eat with the filling inside. Such a delicious and cool concept! Lobiani Boat - 4/5 I thought the banana pepprrs were too overwhelming and they didn't give enough bacon Stroganoff Boat - 5/5 delicious! The vibes in here are super cute and I love the aesthetic! There's lots of seating too. Cost is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it to try. I'd definitely come back

We came to Skalka to try their Adjaruli khachapuri, and it was really good -- fresh, tasty, and definitely worth trying. The cafe itself is modern, stylish, and very clean, even the restroom. They also use self-checkout, which makes ordering easy and convenient. The only thing I missed was fresh espresso-based coffee. They only had brewed coffee, which I don't really drink. It would be nice to have a real latte or cappuccino with their khachapuri.

Scooping up the ooey gooey beefy cheesiness on the bread, yum!

What do you replace the egg and cheese and butter with to make the veggie boat vegan? We don't care if it is gluten-free, that has absolutely nothing to do with it being vegan.

We don't have vegan options. Milk and eggs are in the dough. At this point, we don't make gluten-free or vegan dough.

What are the delivery details?

You can find us on UberEats, Grubhub and DoorDash!

Looks amazing. Safe for peanut allergy?

We do not have peanuts in our bakery.

Do you offer dine-in tables?

Yes, we do! No reservations, first-come, first-serve.

Do they require proof of vaccination?

Yes

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

No, because we use dairy to make our dough.

Do they take weekend reservations?

They did not have reservations available when I went. It's a small restaurant and gets packed quickly, your best bet is to get there 10-15 mins before opening if you can.

What happened to the closed cheese pizzas? Not seeing them on the menu for takeout.

They updated their menu (received tecent email) to focus on the egg boats. Dumplings are available via pop ups. I think they halted the Imerulis you mentioned. You can call or email directly to be sure. (5/9/21)

Are there any vegan options? What is in the dough?

Dough has milk and eggs. We have vegan fillings, but we make all boats with same dough as of April 2021.

Looks delicious! Any gluten free options? Thanks!

Possibly soup or stuffed eggplant, but it's pretty bread-centric.

Is there any lunch specials?

Yes! We have beef soup + house bread ($8.5), Georgian salad + 2pc badrijani + house bread ($11), and 4pc beef khinkali ($9). Available on weekdays 12pm-2pm.

**Piroshky Piroshky, Pike Place Market**…read more We stopped in around 11am on a Saturday before our Starbucks reservation, and I was surprised to walk right up with no line. My two girlfriends and I split the hash brown, bacon, egg and cheese piroshky, which was the right call. It's hearty enough that a third each was a solid snack to get something in our stomachs before a morning of caffeine. It's exactly as advertised and delicious. The pastry is soft and the filling is generous, with plenty of bacon and hash browns in every bite. It ran a little salty for my taste, but I'd chalk that up to how much bacon they pack in rather than a flaw in the recipe. The best endorsement I can give is that we went back again the next morning.

I got a few items on the list: their classic beef and cheese, chicken curry and rice Piroshky, and their bacon egg and cheese Piroshky. The food came out literally within a minute as they were coming out quickly, the ambiance was fast pace, take your order move to the next person, get your food and pay! I thought the bacon egg and cheese one was okay, the chicken curry and rice was pretty darn good, but the classic beef and cheese, mmmmmm you just can't say no. Next time i'll be ordering a bunch more, because 12 was not enough!

Fitchi is a stuffed pastry from Uzbekistan/Turkmenistan, and surprisingly when I googled what fitchi was, there weren't a whole lot of search results, so I am ready for a special culinary adventure! When we arrived, it was 2pm and we got the last table and had to wait for 2 chairs to be unoccupied, since it is a place where you sit anywhere and grab chairs from other tables if you need for larger groups. We got 1 chicken and 1 beef fitchi to share, which was $5.50 each + tax, which is a really good deal considering the size of the fitchi. Food does take a while to get since they make fresh to order, so expect 20-30 minutes wait for the food. It was a bit interesting the fitchi is served with a side of ranch, and the server gave us 2 spoons and 2 knives to eat it. The beef fitchi is amazing - very flavorful and juicy. The chicken fitchi is also good but does not carry the level of seasoning as the beef one, but you should try both. Unfortunately, there was only one guy working, so he had to take the order, prep and make everything. This took a little bit, I want to say over 30 minutes, which I suppose is fair given our order. Fitchi is a curious place, I've passed it numerous times and saw that it's "Eastern Cuisine", yet they make Pizza too. These sort of "multi cuisine" places always make me a bit nervous. They've got, pizza, turkish food, pasta there is a lot going on in here. We got a Milano pizza pie - pepperoni, olive, mushroom, sausage. It was better than I thought, I give them credit on this one but still just alright. Cheesy bread which I think was the best thing we got - decent cheesy and herb flavor on these with 2 dipping sauces. They were out of wings, so we got 'dumplings?' I didn't even realize my buddy ordered these until we got back and they were a mess. They were mushy and falling apart with every bite. Not a lot of flavors even with the sauces to dress it up. Overall Fitchi was ok. Pizza just ok, Cheesy bread good. Dumplings no good. Service, kinda eh for a Saturday night. The indoor seating was in disarray from people dining in, but no staff to clean up the tables so it looked messy in there. I'd consider giving it another shot here as they have a huge menu of options, but until then, it's OK here.
