DO NOT PURCHASE VEHICLE FROM THESE CROOKS AT THIS VERY MOMENT THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP AND HAS BEEN TO THREE DIFFERENT SHOPS SINCE APRIL! A YEAR OF PURE THE HELL I am writing to bring to your urgent attention the ongoing issues I have encountered with the 2015 Infiniti QX80 purchased from SJL Motors on March 2, 2024. I picked up the vehicle on March 13, 2024, and almost immediately began experiencing several problems that have yet to be resolved. Initially, I noticed that both side mirrors were malfunctioning, jerking and making noise due to worn motors. Additionally, the driver's seat was off-track, causing it to lean and make noise when the vehicle was started. Shortly after leaving the dealership and driving for less than two hours, the check engine light illuminated, and the vehicle began to drive roughly, lagging and failing to shift gears properly. Despite pressing the accelerator to the floor, the car would not exceed 60-80 mph. I promptly took the vehicle to the nearest shop, where I was informed that the engine was misfiring in cylinder 5, with multiple cylinder misfires, and an injector circuit issue in cylinder 5 (please see the attached picture for reference). After contacting the dealership, I was instructed to bring the vehicle to Fuzzy Tire Center the following morning. I took time off work and extended my stay to ensure the vehicle could be repaired. Despite driving two hours to be there by 8 AM, and the mechanic's attempt to fix the issue, the engine light came on again as I left the dealership. Upon returning, I was instructed by Tydis to refuel the vehicle and have the mechanic repair it, regardless of the cost. However, the necessary parts would take 3-4 days to arrive, and I could not stay longer due to work commitments and prior engagements. On my way home, with approximately 2 hours remaining in my 7-hour journey, the engine light returned, and the vehicle once again began lagging and failing to accelerate. I immediately informed Tydis and Nelson of the continued issues. Tydis advised me to take the vehicle to an Infiniti dealership for proper repair, stating that SJL Motors would cover the expenses. Infiniti began the diagnostic process on March 18, 2024, and I picked up the vehicle on March 22, 2024. However, the dealership declined to cover the repair costs due to the expense involved. Since then, I have made numerous attempts to contact Tydis and the dealership via phone and text, but my calls and messages have gone unanswered. UPDATE: On April 2, 2024, I took the vehicle to another repair shop for the same issues. Most recently once the extended warranty became active, I had the vehicle taken to C.A.R.S Auto Repair, where it remained for almost a month. Despite their efforts, the engine light returned the same day I picked up the car, requiring me to return it for another week. After picking it up again, the engine light returned, and I was advised to take the vehicle back to Infiniti. Upon doing so, I was informed that the necessary harness for repair has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. The car still at this time is unusable/undrivable. When I contacted your dealership and requested to speak with the owner, I was denied and instead spoke with Nelson. I asked for a solution to remedy this ongoing issue or to return the car, but Nelson was rude, unhelpful, and ultimately hung up on me. Given that I have only had this vehicle for a few months, I urgently need your assistance to resolve this matter. As a customer, I believe I deserve better communication and service. I am requesting that SJL Motors address this situation promptly to avoid any further inconvenience. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss a resolution. Update: Vehicle had to be towed to a repair shop on September 11, 2024, and vehicle is still at the shop. Please reach out so that we can find a remedy to this situation. The vehicle was picked in the middle of March and has been in and out of auto repair shops since the day of pick up! Update: Car has been in the shop more times and longer times since we purchased car. Car has been deemed unsafe because how rusty the undercarriage and structural frame of the vehicle. DO NOT BUY FROM SJL MOTORS OF MIAMI This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I purchased a 250k vehicle from this dealership and was told lie after lie after lie. I specifically worked with Camila where I requested pictures of the vehicle other than the 2 stock photos on the listing. I was told it was at their "sister" dealership showroom and she would request them. Followed up two later and no pictures which she said she would call to get them. Finally after 4 days of waiting I get a video and about 6 pictures. The pictures were of the car sitting at the end of a driveway and I asked Camila why the car wasn't in a show room like she said. Camila stated the vehicle gets checked over by the mechanic to make sure it's good to go before every sale. Well, that's weird because the three low pressure sensor light was on in the video. On October 6th I completed the paperwork and wired the money to the dealership. Crickets, crickets, crickets as nothing happened because Camila was supposed to set up transport. I finally got a call from a transport company setting up delivery of my vehicle on October 15th. The truck shows up and a raggedy trailer that is missing a freaking wheel. This is the transport SJL set up for a vehicle that I just paid 250k for. WTF. Luckily the car wasn't damaged and somehow made it to me that way. Only 1 key arrived and no title. I was told the title would be mailed over night once the car arrived. I called a week later inquiring about the title so I could register the car and nothing. Camila stopped answering my calls and would not respond to my text. I called into the dealership and explained about my purchase and was told to speak to the title clerk, Michelle which this was October 28th at this point, two weeks after receiving the vehicle. I spoke to Michelle who stated she didn't even know about the purchase of my vehicle that I paid for almost a MONTH ago now. WTF. She stated that she could not locate the title for the car and had to check into it. Michelle was actually pretty helpful during this but what turned out happening was the dealership sold the car on their platform from an individual seller who was a "friend of the dealership owner." I had to wait for the original owner to sign the title over to SJL and then SJL put the title in my name and send to me so I can get it titled. I FINALLY got the title on November 8th which is over a month after vehicle purchase. Now, I am just missing the second key to the vehicle. I was referred to the dealership manager, Nelson art this point. Nelson appeared to be helpful but did not have any follow through with his words. At this point it is December and nothing on getting the second key. Nelson says he is going to look into it personally and I heard nothing. I inquire with Nelson on December 12 and he responds that the previous car owner should be arriving from an out of there country trip and will get the key sent to me. I inquire on December 23rd because well I have no key and Nelson says he will check with the owner. Nothing, I follow up on January 2... no reply back, I follow up on January 3... no reply... I finally state to Nelson that I have been more than patient and don't understand why they can not facilitate this simple final step. Nelson finally responds that he will forward my message to the owner. A week goes by and I follow up yet again. I finally get some headway and the key was finally mailed and I received it on January 15 over 4 months after purchase. Bottom line here.... this dealership sucks, they don't know anything about customer service and please please please.... go somewhere else to buy your vehicle. Where do I even start? If my situation gets resolved, I will happy revise my review, because for the most part, my experience with this dealership was relatively positive, but wow, I will not do business with them again in the future. Don't stray away from buying from them, but please do your due diligence first. I purchased a $75,000 vehicle from them on May 6th of 2023. When I arrived at the dealership, I was able to take the car relatively quickly. Within about 5 miles of leaving the dealership in my new vehicle, I get several "car overheating" warnings, loss of power, and inevitably have to pull over. Luckily the dealership helped me out, came to get the car, and we went through the process of getting me into another vehicle. I'm happy with how they handled this part of the process - but it is their only saving grace. However, the vehicle they put me in had a broken rear view mirror. The sales rep, Jordan, wrote me a "we owe you" stating they would pay for the repairs to the rear view mirror. We are coming up on two months now and I still have not received my check (or my license plate). I have called several times, messaged Jordan several times (where he clearly stated the check would be sent), but I still have not received it. My calls are being ignored, put on hold for 15+ minutes, never getting a call back after leaving voicemails. I am out of pocket over $3,000 for a rear view mirror that they promised to pay for via a legal "we owe you" document. I buy a car every 2-3 months for my business and I love the options this dealer has. I was really hoping to continue purchasing from them. I will not purchase from them ever again. Please send me my check, call me back, and stop giving me the runaround. About four weeks ago I called salesman and was tolled that it's going to take several days. A month later salesman did not even respond to my calls. Not sure I would call this a luxury dealership. Purchased a car from there in November and they were supposed to order me a no-drill front license plate bracket since it is legally required in Iowa. They ordered one for the wrong vehicle and have now been arguing with me since the first week of April that they are only going to send me one that drills into my bumper. Yet when I returned the incorrect one, they stated very clearly that they were going to order the correct no-drill bracket that I had requested. I respond then don't sell it to me, he relents and sells me the car. the car is delivered to me with 6k miles on it and a large scratch on the door. Sold me a car (added $ on the backside of the deal), shipped car 6 WEEKS later, car showed up with huge cracked windshield (had to be replaced), gas tank cover wouldn't open (on empty)...had to tow to MB dealership to be replaced, was titled in wrong state. When correcting the title, the bank discovered that this "clean" car with "clean" title and "clean" CARFAX was actually a BRANDED title with lemon history and major mechanical issues. These guys took 7 months to "find me a full value replacement at no cost," only to want me to trade it on a car I had to locate and then wanted to charge me an extra $6,000 to "make the deal." We purchased a Tesla from Sam Jidd Luxury in early December from out of state. Our displeasure started with the negotiation of the car and lasted well beyond delivery. Prior to finalizing a price, my husband and I asked about the quality of the interior and were told by our sales representative, Virgil, that the car was "immaculate". We later asked if there were any dings or dents and Virgil responded, "Hey man, we are not that kind of dealer. We only sell pristine, high quality cars." We took Virgil at his word and chose not to send an inspector to look over the car. After we settled on a price for a car that we presumed had been completely reconditioned, we were told about a $795 "dealer fee" that was not previously disclosed. Feeling a little upset about how that came out we waited for the promised paperwork via e-mail. All we received were wiring instructions. The following day we had to call several times to see what was going on with our bill of sale. We finally received an invoice that had a higher shipping price than we were quoted the previous day. We did receive a corrected version and e-signed the document nearly 48 hours after agreeing on a price. The only thing that happened quickly at this dealership was getting the car on a car carrier after our wire was received. Then our real troubles began. The car was absolutely filthy when we took delivery from the carrier. We looked the car over, but we were not able to see its actual condition. We took it home and immediately washed it. The interior was pristine, but there were three dents on the left rear quarter panel. We knew we had bought the car "as is", but we were very upset that the dents were not disclosed. Had we known about them we would have (a) asked for pictures, (b) possibly sent an inspector and (c) considered the cost of repair in our negotiation. We were also disappointed to find out that the car was delivered with no charging cable, no temporary registration and only one key. We called Virgil and told him we were rather disappointed to say the least. SJL did agree to purchase a charging cable for us and had it shipped directly to us. After several days of phone calls, we finally received a temporary registration via e-mail that should have been in the car when it was shipped. The temporary registration finally allowed us to get a Tesla account so that we could get the car charged while we waited for the cable. We then struggled for several weeks to get a title so that the car could be registered in California. Nearly eight weeks after we negotiated the purchase price of the car we finally had a title in hand. While waiting for the title to arrive, we had the dents repaired at a cost of $500. We sent a copy of the repair bill to SJL along with pictures of the damage. We asked for reimbursement of the repair cost since the damage was not disclosed. I called, they lied - said it hadn't been in accident according to Carfax. said they'd swap me for another Lexus on the lot (never saw the car, was never on the lot) another lie!! I investigated - the car was in a accident three days prior to them buying it!! They have a little body shop a few blocks from dealership where they buy wrecked and damaged cars, fix them themselves, and it never shows up on Carfax - quite the scam artists!! I've been looking for a Tesla Model S for some time now, around Chicago, but nothing seemed to grab my attention. After surfing through the Internet I came across a Tesla P85 Model S being sold at Sam Jidd Luxury. It had all the packages I was looking for a very reasonable price. When I stop by to take a look I was introduced to Virgil, the Sales representative. Virgil at first looked intimidating but once I start talking to him I realized he was one of the most genuine guys I've met in the business. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable when I had any questions about the car and its features. The car was everything they had described and pictured online. There was absolutely no pressure or any of the typical car salesman games I've experienced at other local car dealerships. As a young guy, most dealerships would never take me seriously. At Sam Jidd Luxury age was not a problem at all! Purchasing the Tesla Model S as a first-time car buyer was as smooth and headache-free as it gets. Working with Paul was quick and easy. Since my credit-score was only built off of consistent credit card payments, I didn't know if I would get approved for financing. Amazingly, Paul was able to work the numbers out and came with a very good offer, which I couldn't resist and gladly accepted. Do not trust a single word from Sam's mouth. He is the owner of this terrible place. He truly does not care what you drive out in or what condition it really is in. Just money money money money. I bought a car from him after one month of having it it needed to be in the repair. And ever since then every month and a half it's been in repair. Very costly repairs. But says he sold me a good car. I am a creature of habit and staying with the same people creating a relationship with a business. You will not get that here, only headaches. Paul was the only truthful one in the whole place and I don't know what he is doing there he is the only one who tells the truth. And just wait and watch how they will attack after this is posted because nothing is ever their fault it's always the customers fault. When he was the one who put me in the position of a terrible sale. I trusted Sam and it was the biggest mistake. There is a whole book worth of how much is wrong with this place. I live in Washington State and have purchased every vehicle in my lifetime in Washington State ONLY after I have seen the vehicle I have purchased, driven the vehicle, met the car salesman in person and been able to negotiate with the dealership regarding the price as I am quite the negotiator. I began by searching for a Tesla by using Auto Trader and located one that I was very interested in, but the vehicle was located about 1,600 miles from where I reside in Des Plaines, IL. The car salesman I was working with via phone call and text only (we did have a FaceTime video that he initiated so he could show me some details on the Tesla computer screen) is a fine young gentleman by the name of Virgil Roland. Talk about a salesman that is absolutely second to none. That would be Virgil Roland! I must have called him and texted him a combined 300 to 400 times in a few week period as I am very detailed oriented and had a lot of questions and wanted to make sure I had comfort and a great feeling purchasing a vehicle from a car dealership without ever seeing the car in person other than photos online, without ever meeting the car salesman, without ever seeing the car dealership in person, etc. Virgil has the patience like no other and was always pleasant and detail oriented with me. He not only answered each of my questions but was very helpful and awesome educating me about the details behind a Tesla vehicle even about issues that I did not have questions related to. Virgil would always say on each phone call that I could call him anytime and that I was not a bother even though I must have called him more than any other customer. Believe me this dealership is crazy busy and sells a huge volume of vehicles and has many customers they deal with, but Virgil always made time for me despite how busy he was with other customers. Talk about a dealership that has integrity and is very ethical and extremely honest, that would be what you will also find at Sam Jidd Luxury LLC. I recall the first vehicle that I had interest in with Virgil had an issue with the structural soundness of the vehicle and it was not discovered and communicated to the dealership nor was it on the Car Fax report until Virgil and the other staff at the dealership took the vehicle to Tesla for one final check. It was determined that the initial vehicle could not be sold to me as Tesla informed Virgil and the dealership that the Tesla had some structural damage and it would not be safe for me to drive and could result in harm or death to me and others. Although the auto industry has a somewhat negative or dishonest perception from some people in the general public, Virgil and Sam Jidd, owner of the dealership, informed me they could not sell me the initial vehicle I was interested in due to the lack of safety of the vehicle. I already had the utmost highest level of respect in Virgil and this dealership before they informed me of this, but their sincerity, openness, transparency and honesty took my level of respect and trust to the highest level possible! Virgil and I quickly looked at the remaining inventory and found another Tesla in their inventory that I was happy with and that is the one that we made a deal on. The price was also so good that I could not even negotiate. This dealership has priced their vehicles more than fair so that there is not the back and forth negotiating on the price. My 2014 Tesla Model S P85D has been delivered to my house as of yesterday all the way from the state of Illinois to Washington State. I wasn't even going to write a review until I read some of the others who had an experience just like mine. My boyfriend and I bought a car in mid July and were promised a cosmetic leather fix on our bill of sale. They wrote that they owed us that fix. We immediately made an appointment to get it fixed and when we showed up a few days later they had no idea where their 3rd party leather guy was and said it could take a while for him to even answer. Months later and we get no response from their "leather guy" and also no help or any concerns from the dealership. Like other reviews have said, they don't keep promises. Hands down the quickest and easiest buying process I ever had. Everyone was very personable and I will definitely be back!

I would advise to stay away from this dealership. First, yes Virgil (our sales rep was a pleasure to deal with). Next, the owner is very unprofessional and they are non responsive. We purchased a vehicle from them and then they were unable to get the headlight to work and as a result, they had to get it repaired and transport the vehicle to us. They claimed that they replaced the entire headlight before taking delivery and then later told me that was not the case. Now the headlight is acting up as it was not repaired as promised. Next, the day of delivery, we drove the vehicle and the sunroof sagged in and was noticeable on freeways due to wind noise. I took it to my local dealer and had to pay $190 the next day for then to fix it. I contacted Sam Jidd and he was unprofessional and wouldn't cover the repair even though we are 100% sure this was not like that from time we purchased vehicle. So there must have been damage during transport.The dealer claimed the vehicle was an 8 out of 10 without any dents, scratches, etc. When we arrived there were about 15 dents and scratches all over vehicle. So do not trust what they say as far as condition as I would have rated it a 5-6 as it stood. I seen other higher end cars, Porsches, Tesla's, etc with scratches and paint missing in their showroom. We paid cash for this vehicle and it still took several weeks to get the title too and no one was responsive on status. We were also told the exterior and interior would be detailed at time of delivery and vehicle showed up dirty inside and out. This was just a very poor experience overall. They will try to charge you an $800+ dealer fee too...which is insane and we refused to pay this. Would I buy from them again? Absolutely not! Again, Virgil was an awesome sales rep however the others were terrible to work with. I wouldn't recommend buying from this dealer. Please buy elsewhere and you'll be happier! read more

Bought my car in July. I went to go pick up my car and they gave me one key only. Virgil told me that he would order an extra key for me at half the price of what the dealer would charge. I called and texted numerous times no response. I emailed the owner nothing. I had to order a new key at double the amount. They are all nice when you are looking at the car but after that they don't give you the time of day. read more
