I spoke to Howard early Sunday morning and he asked for a history of what was happening and what steps I had already taken. I dropped off the computer and paid a very reasonable diagnostic fee, which he told me would be applied toward the repair if that went forward. He told me they'd get back to me in a couple of days. Monday Adam called to clarify what was wrong and what had been tried. He discussed what the next steps would be and what the price would be to get it running and to backup my school files (lesson and unit plans, videos, etc.) We agreed and he let me know it might be a couple of days. Tuesday at noon, I got the call. My laptop was fixed! The problems (a corrupted Windows update and drivers from my laptops' manufacturer) were taken care of and I could pick it up. I took pictures all morning and the entire month with the cracked lens and NO smudge on my camera. If there was a smudge, I would've immediately got it taken care of quick. We argued back and forth, basically I paid for the cracked lens and I will have to PAY AGAIN $150 to get the camera part fixed. This SMUDGE was created by their employee when he was working on my lens. I asked if they can just redo it, clean it up or check. NOPE. $150 new camera or zoom in to .9x every time to avoid the smudge (JOKE) or go somewhere else. No accountability and it was either pay to get fix or leave. They blamed ME for having the smudge me. Please check other places first and see their options/process. Also please read negative reviews first as well. SO furious and scam artists.
