Sizzlin Burger no cheese, add tomato/lettuce

Sizzling Wagon food truck had quick and good food! The fries and quality of the burger were both above average for food truck food. I can't speak to price, location, ambiance as this was a hosted event by my company. The service was good. They clearly were trying to take and fulfill orders fast and efficiently. I would recommend hiring Sizzling wagon for an event!

I got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken today when Sizzling Wagon was parked at Golden Hills. Two Words: Freaking Amazing! The chicken was perfectly prepared, very crunchy with tender, moist (I hate that word), chicken. I got a side of sriracha mayo on the side, to put on the sandwich - It was so good. Their fries have a really tasty spice on them, and they were hot and crunchy - everything is made to order, so it's not sitting under a sun lamp getting soggy. The chef and the server were so sweet, the chef recommended the chicken or the brisket. I think either would've been amazing. Five Stars for best food truck Golden Hills has had this summer for our "Food Truck Thursdays". Sorry for the picture - I ate everything!

We had a big company meeting and brought Sizzling Wagon to us for lunch -- I was kind of excited because I had never tried their food. I ended up getting their chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Like, sooooo good!!! You could either have coleslaw or fries as a side so I got the fries. The seasoning was really good, but some were maybe a little soggy. All-in-all though, I seriously can't wait to grab food from them again because that sandwich was out of this world!!

I have had the pleasure of trying the Sizzling Wagon twice because of the 2 times it has come to my work. I an not sure what other locations this food truck visits so the truck visiting my work is probably the only way I could have tried it. Service: I am not sure how the run on a normal day, so I can only base this off of the experience I have had. My work has paid for them to come to our lot and provided us all with tickets for us to redeem at the truck. I walked up, was greeted shorty, handed them my ticket, and my food was out in no time. I'm not sure if it was from the mass amount of people for the lunch rush, but they didn't seem too friendly. The food was brought out on time and they seem to know what they are doing back there to make it run as efficiently as it does. Food: The 2 times I have had the food here I have gotten the burger and fries. The meal came with a burger with toppings, fries, and a drink (can of soda). Both times I've gotten this the fries have been the best part of the meal. They are crunchy, crispy, and have such a great seasoning spread over them! I don't know what it is but the fries are delicious. The burger on the other hand is pretty much just that. It's a decent burger but nothing blows me away by it. It has a good egg sort of bun, cheese, toppings of your choosing, and the patty. I think what turns me away the most from it is that they have never asked me how I wanted it prepared. I like pink in my burgers and and the more rare side of medium-rare. By the time I sit down to eat my meal the burger is completely cooked through and completely white in the middle. I'm sure they are just doing this to be on the safe side, but it makes the burger dry and tough is some areas. Overall: I appreciate them coming to my work and having us try their food. It is better than some of the food trucks I have had in MN but it's not the best. If they return again I will definitely try something else on the menu to see what is out there. Also if you ever see them out where you are and need a quick lunch, this is not a bad place to go.

Couldn't stop eating this brisket sandwich long enough to take a picture until it was almost gone. SO GOOD.

This food truck has THE best brisket that I've ever had in my life. Last year I discovered them at the Uptown Food Truck Fair. My mom and I split a brisket sandwich, but once we tasted that melt-in-your-mouth, Smokey, flavorful brisket, we wished we had each gotten our own. This year I went to the food truck fair solely to get my hands on another brisket from the Sizzling Wagon. If you happen to see this food truck around, you have to try their brisket sandwich. The service seemed a little hectic, this year but the food truck fair is a hectic day, and I was happy to wait since I knew what a treat I was in for. Moral of the story: BEST BRISKET EVER. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT.

BBQ brisket

Really good. They stop outside my work often. I've had the fried chicken sandwich and the BBQ brisket. Both were really good.

Meah..... over cooked burgers like my uncle made at the family cook out. The fries were good. Pretty much Arby's frozen fries.

Cuban Quesadilla: a unique play on the traditional Cuban sandwich. Although we love their tacos, it is not the only food they serve. They rotate their menu, but there are crab cakes, sandwiches, and other tacos! Keep an eye out for their food truck or check out their website for their list of events. You won't be disappointed.

As evidenced by the name, Tiki Tim's focuses mainly on island inspired cuisine (save for the fried pickles). Their menu is fairly modest in size, comprised of Tiki (shrimp and crab) cakes, fish tacos, a Hawaiian influenced pulled pork sandwich and a smattering of side dishes. While the choices are limited, they've all been quite good. The fish tacos are the highlight for me, with generous pieces of crispy and not-too-greasy fish, but you really can't wrong with anything (bring a knife and fork for the pork sandwich). The converted big blue Chevy is easy to spot on the streets, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Given that we're about as far from the coasts as possible and a long haul from Hawaii, it's nice to see someone aspiring to bring the tropical mindset to the streets of the Twin Cities.

My wife and I made a conscious effort to stop-in for a late lunch, taking the light rail from downtown Minneapolis. The food was quite good with friendly service. There is no signage for the restaurant outside, so have to trust Maps and go inside the grocery store. Towards the back against the back wall, is the restaurant, with a few tables/chairs for eating in. Everything is packaged for takeout, and there is no table service. It's very similar to how bigger filipino grocery stores in Cali have a section dedicated to hot meals, with prepared food to be scooped up. It is only open during the weekend during lunch hours, with the current menu posted on their Facebook page. They did have unexpected items (like fried smelt) on the menu, that I wanted to try, but was told it wasn't available. Thus, ended up getting a two choice plate combo for $10, with white rice, one pork BBQ stick and beef mechado. Both were very good, with the pork stick being mostly shoulder meat (little fat), and the mechado having very tender beef, with very little gristle. Both went great with the rice, and my wife and I happily shared. With this good experience, we decided to get 8 BBQ sticks ($30 total) to bring to a dinner hosted at a friend's house that same night. This amount exceeded what was already available, so the nice server let us know it would be 10-15 minutes. We figured it would even be better if freshly made, so had no problem waiting for it. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as good, with the pieces having a lot of gristle and not as much of the charred goodness that the original sticks had. Guess one has to eat it for dine-in to get the full effect.

They used to be a food truck outfit, but now have a kitchen and a couple of tables inside the Phil-Oriental Market. The market itself is pretty small, with a decent selection of Filipino grocery items, and the small deli is located in the back. Just follow the incredible smells wafting from the rear of the store. Belly up to the counter and about 8-9 entrees are kept warm behind the glass, cafeteria style. Everything looked pretty appetizing, but I was jonesing for the crispy pork belly. I got a pound of that goodness, and I asked the lady helping me what the meat was on the skewers next to the pork belly. She told me it was BBQ pork on a stick. They looked like charred meat candy, so I got 3 skewers. A small take out container of white jasmine rice also came with the order. I also asked if they had any lumpia's today since I didn't see them in the food trays. The lady said they make them to order, so I decided to wait an extra 10 minutes so they could fry some up. Exactly 9 minutes later, the lady came from the back with a to go container filled to the top with hot, small lumpia rolls. Evidently 21 lumpia's come in a single order! Bonus!! I had some to share with the wife and kid. I paid for my order, and snuck a piece of lumpia into my face hole while walking out the door. I burned my tongue, but the pain was worth it. They were pretty good, and super crispy! When I got into my truck, I tried a piece of the bbq pork on the skewer. Holy crap it was good. The meat was nicely charred but tender, and the marinade was outstanding! I immediately went back into the store and bought 5 more. Of course I bought too much food, but it was totally worth it. I'll be back next week, and Pinoy Fusion is now on my restaurant rotation list. Check out the pics-
