Noodle box with two beef noodle egg rolls

Been to Sumo Egg Rolls a couple times and it's just OK. Like food trucks and miss them but for the price, have finally decided it's not worth it in my view. You get a decent portion of just average food and I think the appeal of Sumo is the variety of different egg rolls but let's be honest, deep fried anything kind of tastes the same unless you get something like mac n cheese, etc. The noodle dish was ok and it's a lot like pad thai and it was better than most. The price was listed at $10 when I ordered but with tax, tip, etc. I somehow ended up paying closer to $15 ... don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy to pay a premium for good food but have no problem calling someone out when I think the food is average or slightly below. Next time I'll pass and would rather pay this for Northbound or Anchor.

I swung by their food truck while at the Northloop Food Truck Fair because I've never tried their egg rolls. Admittedly I kept it safe by getting pork, but they have like 17 kinds of unique egg roll flavors. They were good, but I felt like they were pretty small. These were 3/$10 and you have to get all of the same kind -- no mixing and matching.

This is a food truck on an empty lot on White Bear Ave. There are a lot of options here, but I chose Sumo Egg Rolls. I was in the mood for an adventure. I ordered the sampler, which was one of each egg roll on the menu. I was very very happy. To complete my adventure I ordered the Fruit Loops slushy. Yum!!!

Yummy, crispy and perfectly rolled little egg rolls. We bought 10 at happy hour for $8 (normally$12); 5 pork and 5 pad Thai and they were great! Light and crispy and very flavorful. They were so good, we went back and ordered the chicken alfredo and cheeseburger flavors. Each eggroll came with a sauce: sweet and sour for the pork and hot sauce for the pad Thai, a thousand island type sauce for the cheeseburger and alfredo sauce for the chicken alfredo rolls. Our vote is for the cheeseburger and pork rolls. Hands down SO good! Each order came out super quick, hot and fresh. I know these little rolls of goodness would steal the show at a party!

I don't understand why a business that specializes in egg rolls can't do better than a fried roll with almost no filling or flavor?

I truly have never had a worse experience with a food truck than what I had here. It took over an…read morehour to get our food and we're talking about a burrito bowl I truly don't know how it can possibly take so long to build a burrito bowl. It would be one thing if they were super busy but they weren't, we timed it and they were sending an order out every 15-20 minutes which is an insanely slow rate especially for a taco food truck. That also doesn't include the fact that they were also sending out partial orders as in if someone ordered 2 orders of tacos they were sending one out and then maybe 5-10 minutes later they would get the next order. They were also parked in the parking lot of the restaurant and one of the workers was going back and forth (and probably should've been getting support from the restaurant) and we asked why it was taking so long and he shrugged and said well it's only about double the wait time of the restaurant (not sure that's something to brag about nor does it look good on the restaurant). We even had 3 people in front of us that went and got their money back because of how long it was taking otherwise we might not have gotten our food for another 30 minutes to an hour. After waiting so long we thought this better be the best food ever and honestly it fell super flat. In one of our bowls the meat was half fat and gristly and inedible. I will definitely avoid coming back here ever again.

I had to do a little more research and found out that the restaurant was INSIDE of the gas station. Gas station was a little empty. The sign out side said 'grand reopening' but that was in Nov. Anyways, the "restaurant" is on the left hand side. As this was my first time, I'm not sure if they cook the food per order. I've only been to one other Coras on Payne Ave and they have food in the warmer ready to go. I asked the Son of the owner how long my wings would take. He said 7 minutes. I waited 20 mins but I did order a #13 (20 wings, 6 egg rolls and 12 wontons with a large fried rice). The mother (owner) apologized for the long wait and she offered me 5 more wontons. The wings tasted great! Just how I remember them years ago AND they were larger than normal. The fried rice is usually always bland but I was very disappointed this time. I also asked for soy sauce but she gave me duck sauce instead. Eggrolls were crispy on the outside but soggy on the inside. First batch of cream cheese wontons ok but second batch was over cooked. Over all i give this place 3 stars. Not saying i won't go back cause of a so-so experience. I most definitely love their wings and am always willing to give places a second chance.

I only wished their wings were a medium sized instead of current super small sized. Other sides like fried rice, eggrolls, and cream cheese wontons goes good with wings but without the wings, the sides are bland. If you don't get the sides with your wings then the wings might taste a bit on the salty side so get both together. Since they opened years ago, I have not tried anything else besides what I listed along with the newly offered lomein. Lomein is okay not great but wings are great!!! Always get half non-spicy and half spicy bone in wings!!! Customer service is alright. Service is fast because its premade in warmer but its always being refilled with a fresh batch. Parking is awkward but its parking. My four star rating is more sole on the wings which I much appreciate eat.

Sometimes they have promotions online but make sure to check if it's in the store or out in the food truck.
