When I'm at an event browsing food trucks and I see KCM Eggrolls, my decision has been made! They always have a line by their window and keep their menu updated. My favorites are the Vegan Egg Rolls, Vegan Egg Roll Noodle Salad, Avocado Spring Rolls, and Cream Cheese Wontons. The fried outside layers are crispy, and the sauces have strong flavors. I think $12 for spring rolls is a little steep, but I'm happy to pay it and support their business. I hope I keep seeing KCM Eggrolls around Minneapolis!

Their menu changes here and there but they offer a variety of delicious goods such as brisket, smoked wings, pork belly, ribs, eggrolls, and loaded fries. They even have smoked turkey legs once in a while! The owner and his wife are very friendly and the service is good and fast. I might have just missed the lunch rush when I went shortly after noon but be ready to get in line on a nice day out! I strongly recommend you check out this place if you love BBQ meats and haven't checked it out yet. Did I mention their prices are also great!? Don't miss out on their Facebook specials when they have them!!!

Glad we did. 5 stars just for the quality of the brisket. The thing that's amazing, if you cook brisket yourself, is the quality of the trim. A uniformly thin 1/8" layer of fat cap on every piece. No idea how they do it but it's exceptional, just at the right thickness to render properly. The brisket is top tier, maybe the second such brisket I've had in the area like it at a restaurant. Good strong smoke profile, rub is a little understated but good and uniform, everything properly rendered, plenty of gelatin and fat for moisture. Strange thing, the brisket was $25/lb which is more than reasonable for brisket of this quality, but the pork ribs and belly were the same price. I didn't try them so I can't say why the pork costs the same as the beef; I'm guessing there is a bigger demand for the pork from the SE Asian customer base. The hot sauce is not what I expected, quite vinegary and what I think were all red Thai peppers. To be honest I was expecting Kua Txob (Hmong pepper sauce) which would have been perfect with the meat. I'll just have to make it myself next time I find this place open. Mac & cheese was very good, nothing super praiseworthy but a good solid tasty home-style side dish. The fries were the least interesting thing we got, but still okay. Overall it's worth looking for and making the trek in the middle of the day, especially if you're a brisket snob/enthusiast.

It would be one thing if they were super busy but they weren't, we timed it and they were sending an order out every 15-20 minutes which is an insanely slow rate especially for a taco food truck. That also doesn't include the fact that they were also sending out partial orders as in if someone ordered 2 orders of tacos they were sending one out and then maybe 5-10 minutes later they would get the next order. They were also parked in the parking lot of the restaurant and one of the workers was going back and forth (and probably should've been getting support from the restaurant) and we asked why it was taking so long and he shrugged and said well it's only about double the wait time of the restaurant (not sure that's something to brag about nor does it look good on the restaurant). We even had 3 people in front of us that went and got their money back because of how long it was taking otherwise we might not have gotten our food for another 30 minutes to an hour. After waiting so long we thought this better be the best food ever and honestly it fell super flat. In one of our bowls the meat was half fat and gristly and inedible. I will definitely avoid coming back here ever again.

The Am Legion is not associated with Station #6 but gave us free drink tokens to try and help. Will never eat there again or refer anyone else.

The service was fast, yet lines were still long. We waited in line for 20+ minutes for our tots. There was many options such as chili tots, which is what we got, poutine tots, bacon wrapped tots, and more. We decided to go with the chili tots without the sour cream. It wasn't that great. Tots were good, but the chili is meh, but I'm not a big fan of chili to begin with. I'd go back to this place, but not chili tots. I'll try bacon wrapped tots or poutine next time.

As evidenced by the name, Tiki Tim's focuses mainly on island inspired cuisine (save for the fried pickles). Their menu is fairly modest in size, comprised of Tiki (shrimp and crab) cakes, fish tacos, a Hawaiian influenced pulled pork sandwich and a smattering of side dishes. While the choices are limited, they've all been quite good. The fish tacos are the highlight for me, with generous pieces of crispy and not-too-greasy fish, but you really can't wrong with anything (bring a knife and fork for the pork sandwich). The converted big blue Chevy is easy to spot on the streets, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Given that we're about as far from the coasts as possible and a long haul from Hawaii, it's nice to see someone aspiring to bring the tropical mindset to the streets of the Twin Cities.
