We grabbed food at the Sandy's Grill Food Truck when we were at Forgotten Star. Sandy's had some great food options and I got to try the Fish Tacos, Cubana Pita sandwich and cheese curds. Everything was great and made our experience at Forgotten Star even better. The fish tacos were my favorite and the slaw made the tacos have so much flavor. The fries were ok. The cubana pita sandwich had a ton of smoked flavor and was also very good. The cheescurds were pretty average and I think they should offer more of a sauce to dip them in to creat more flavor. Overall, I would eat Sandy's again and recommend it to anyone.

Last night when I went to check out Heavy Rotation Brewing I snagged some goodies from the Sandy's Grill food truck. I've had this Chicken Sandwich a few times now and this thing slaps harder then Will Smith. The buttermilk dredge on the chicken sandwich is everything and the sandwich is huge. Worth every cent of the $16 price tag. The Pit Cubano was good and very meat forward. I would have liked to see it a little saucier with more mustard but the meat was Smokey and very juicy so it was tasty though. : Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich // Lettuce, tomato, mayo Pita Cubano // Ham, roasted pork, Swiss, pickle, brown mustard, flatbread

    Great Cubano pita! So good!

Sandy's Grill was outside the Forgotten Star Taproom, so I ordered the Cubano Pita with coleslaw on the side. Super juicy and the service was great. It was ready in about 5 minutes. Gotta love that. The pork and slices of ham were amazing, I would have liked more mustard though. I have had 3 Cuban sandwiches the the last 6 weeks and they always need mustard. Good problem to have. 2 IPAs went with it. Great lunch with a nice view of Downtown.

We had the Famous Knockout Chicago Dog. Great dog on a toasted bun. Loaded with pickles, onion, relish mustard. Very good. And it comes with fries, chips or tatar tots. All this for $13! The folks on the truck are super as well.

Average food way overpriced. Fries are good and crispy. Chicago dog was average, bugers were sad (and in one case burnt to a crisp). Avoid.

Small portions for the money, my $10 burger was slightly bigger than a slider. The cole slaw had so much salt it was inedible.

Loved the cheese burger. A bit bummed it was $13 (and tip) and didn't come with fries or a drink…read more It came with chips and ketchup. Giving it 3 stars because the burger was top notch and they delivered it to our table inside the taproom. If price is of no concern to you, then this is a 5 Star rated food truck solely on the quality of the product.

The food selection was your standard rich fare, which I love: fries, curds, nachos, brisket, burger, poutine, wings, etc. We decided to split the curds with spicy honey sauce and the pork nachos plus fixings for $11 and $12. Everything was a couple more dollars than I'm used to for a food truck but after we got our dishes it made sense, the portions were overflowing! The nachos were a little too wet, taking away the crispiness of the buried chips, from the meat and cheese but at least there was a lot of meat. The fixings included pickled onions, jalapenos, lettuce, cilantro and a pico de gallo made of tomatoes and peppers. The combination of the onions, unique pico and meat was super tasty. On the other hand I enjoyed the curds less. They were overcooked, hopefully a one off, and something about the breading consistently wasn't right. The outside was too crispy and inside there was an excessive amount of air pockets separating the thick outside breading from the cheese inside. I would have preferred a lighter coating, perhaps this could be their style.
