My co-workers had the blackened fish tacos which were equally as good. They also have a poke ahi tuna taco. We all kind of shied away from raw fish from a food truck. But based on their other selections quality I would try this next time I see them. They also have bbq roasted pork sandwich and a Morrocan sloppy joe. More things to try from this great truck.

Great food all around!…read more I walked up and saw that they had sliders. Not my jam but then I saw that they had FISH TACOS !!!! I have not had a good fish taco since a business trip to Atlanta 3 years ago. I ordered the blackened fish taco and was very surprised to find that is was great. Not that I didn't think they could do it but I have had some bad fish tacos. The fish meat was firm and not fishy in taste, the tortilla was well constructed and did not fall apart from the juice of the taco. The topping were very tasty and fresh. I would note that they have almost no spice. I would kick it up a bunch of levels for people who like tacos. A co worked had a 3 slider pulled pork lunch and he really liked it. I will try them again and I think they have a really good start on the menu. I would suggest addition of some heat and throw in some chips with the taco meal. $13 + $1 was reasonable but chips are cheap. The staff was really nice, they looked clean, the truck was well put together and clean. Really good food experience right next to my office.

I unintentionally gave myself severe cravings for Cajun food by writing a Weekly Yelp on the topic…read more(see: www.yelp.com/weekly?editorial_id=HW89Zcz1Cj0DbtPc2qryMA). Yesterday morning it arrived in my inbox and I steadily got hungrier for sweet potatoes and shrimp and grits and spicy fried seafood as the day went on. Then, like magic, another email hit my inbox from Harriet Brewing that said that Cajun 2 Geaux was cooking tonight at the tap room. And the beers are $1 off all night. What LUCK! I rounded up some friends and we headed over to check it out, despite the rainy, chilly evening. Like most food trucks, there are about a half-dozen things on the menu at one time. It was gumbo, red beans and rice, shrimp po'boys, andouille po'boys and a shrimp basket (which comes with sweet potato fries and a tangy remoulade for dipping). I decided on the shrimp basket ($9), doused it with Louisiana hot sauce and scarfed the entire thing like an animal. I realize maybe it's hard to mess up fried sea creatures and yams, but for a dinner so simple, it was really flavorful. They are not phoning it in, that's for sure. The service was the icing on the cake, or rather the powdered sugar on the beignet (beignets weren't available yesterday, dang). The woman taking our order was exceptionally cheerful and waved us down when our orders were ready so we wouldn't have to risk running out in the cold to check. They also take credit cards, even my Discover. After stuffing myself silly, the Cajun cravings are satisfied... for now.

Man, this food is tasty! I had the shrimp basket with sweet potato waffle fries (that's right,…read morewaffle fries!) and their zangy sauce on the side and it was delicious! I will totally be back for more to try their other menu options!

Tacos, sandwiches, hot dogs, soups - 4 stars!…read more I caught up with the Smug Pug food truck at the Elm Creek Brewing Company in Champlin. These folks are based out of Hugo so you can find them throughout the NW burbs. You can call them or find them on their Facebook page. My food was excellent. It was the perfect combo of munchies at a brewery. Of course, I grabbed some soup since they seem to be so proud of it. I ordered a cup of beer cheese & veggie soup. It was very good, obviously made from scratch. I also grabbed a small bag of "Better Made" brand chips (made in Michigan). It's nice to see them selling an interesting snack from old school company (since 1930) that you don't see around here every day. Cool! It was a hard choice but I went with a chili dog. Again, I'm pretty sure they made the chili themselves. Just like the rest of my food, it was great. Very satisfying! Finally, the 2 owners working in the truck were very friendly. It was fun chatting with them in a warm, sunny fall day. Thumbs up! -Maxx"

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement for a food truck. We ordered the wings, pot stickers,…read moreand vermacili salad. The wings comes with 7 wings but as you can see one of the wings is barely even one bite. These are part wings by the way, not full wings. To also say we paid $18 for the vermacili salad, which was 80% salad and 20% eggrolls. That's a markup that's not even worth it. Final verdict: take your money elsewhere. I love supporting small businesses but this is not it.

They didn't skimp on the egg roll fillings, which I really appreciated. I've gotten egg rolls from other places where it just feels like cabbage and the bare minimum pork, but this wasn't like that. The bacon was thick but crispy and the tomatoes fresh and juice, the bread was also fantastic! Also I saw someone getting the wontons and they looked amazing. Service: they were really friendly and fast, probably some of the best service ive had at a food truck Price: food trucks are always a bit pricey but $12 for a BLT with no sides seems a bit too much to me. Honestly while the food was great I don't think I'll be getting anything here in the future until the price matches what you get. I mean for 12$ they could at the very least include some chips! Honestly the only reason I took off a star.
