Went on a spontaneous little Tuesday night dinner, and they were very accommodating to our large group. The hostess was friendly, and our server took care of us the whole time. Let's start that the remodeled look is very good. But the cashier Zuleima B had attitude, because I always like to pay a cash tip AFTER I receive service, never before. So I refused prepay a tip for a salad bar. I gave her a coupon that clearly stated off per person (2 of us) she refused to give the discount for my bestie. Our server Lissandra was very nice at least. She gets 4 star service. Leaving her that cash tip for good service. Nobody should be shamed to prepay a tip. A tip isn't mandatory. A tip is for service rendered. Shame on your cashier for attitude unbecoming your restaurant. read more

Me and my grandmother came for lunch and were greeted by our hostess Ashleigh. She was very polite and asked if we needed napkin's sauce for our burgers and if the food was good. Just visited the Merced sizzler second time in a two month period. And my question is is it me or has this place really gone downhill? We had to wait 40 minutes to get our food and when we got it I had chicken and ribs half my chicken breast was so hard I couldn't eat. It showed the waitress you said do you want me to get you another one and I go no I'll eat around it cause I do not wanna wait another 40 minutes. My ribs were overcooked and dry. Our waitress was very good and apologetic and even though the food was mediocre terrible I gave her a pretty good tip, but I'm not planning on going back to Sizzler anytime soon salad bar maybe but not for meat. They're eating at the Sizzler for 30 years. read more

Main dish and Salad Bar were great. The young waiter and waitress were very friendly. The manager explained the new way the salad bar works. The only thing that the waiter could improve on is to speak louder to the customers. I had to ask him twice to repeat himself cause he spoke so softly. It got very noisy when we were there. I have been going to Sizzler for a little over 3 years now and I absolutely love the atmosphere the staff is wonderful the food is great but there is one issue I haven't seen my favorite girl Izzy. We found ourselves at Sizzler the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a deal where you get a free endless salad bar with the purchase of a meal. That was a great deal. I got the petite steak and potato and that endless salad. The steak was really good and cooked perfectly medium rare. The salad bar was fresh and there were plenty of options. I loaded up on the salad bar and took home my steak to make a sandwich the next day, Perfect! The service was not great. They wanted the 7 of us to cram into a little space in a crowded area of the restaurant. I found a table in the "closed" section of the restaurant that actually fit the 7 of us and they reluctantly allowed us to sit there. It worked out but they did remind us that we were in the "closed section" a few times. By the way, the "closed section" was just the tables on the other side of the salad bar, not a different room or anything. If they have the free salad bar deal, 4 stars. Without the free salad bar it's just too overpriced, 2 stars. That's where I get the 3 star rating. read more

Great service. Delicious food! Celebrating my sister in laws birthday. The steak was cooked like perfection.

I had the all you can eat salad bar. The beef and veggie soup was amazing, it had so much big chunks of beef and great flavor. If You know Sizzler's salad bar then you know it has a hot entree section that includes a taco bar (still Not good in my opinion, taco meat not traditional and has strange texture and flavor), spaghetti section, fried food section (wedges and fried chicken wings) could have been fresher and refilled. Service was nothing to write Home about. Some of the workers seemed less than happy to be there and it showed. Not that they were rude, just that they were bored and didn't talk with much enjoyment. I don't know if this is the trend with customer service in all food and entertainment industry but it's almost like workers believe it's ok to share their unhappiness with customers. When I receive exceptional service, I tip exceptionally and when I get no Fanfare I give the no Fanfare tips. Sometimes I give the standard 20% feeling perhaps the person was having a bad day but now I'm seeing too many people having this "attitude" so this is having me rethink my tipping process. So managers and workers if you want a exceptional tip, you know what to do; remember service with a smile. So sorry Sizzler you get 3 stars for restocking fresh hot food entree section and customer service with no smile. My visit cost me $24 that's including tip and I expected more for my money.
