We'll have not been to one of these in years but it was close to the hotel in fact right across the parking lot. The staff is friendly and the place was clean. Wife really enjoyed all the options on the salad bar and the options with the streaks are plentiful. It's not high end but neither is the price. It's consistent with what I remember sizzlers being. No pics on this one. This is not a place I would recommend as far as the all you can eat salad bar. It looked like a good option, but very disappointing. Stuff was cold or stale and a bit of a mess. No one was really keeping up with it. They seemed short staffed as well, and I did feel bad for the workers on that end of it. First time making it to Sizzler! Had not been able to find one in years. Salad bar was amazing. More than enough to be considered a meal of its own. I got the mega bacon burger. I was not impressed with it. Only 2 pieces of bacon and the burger was pretty plain. Husband had the steak, it was chewy, but still was a fun experience. Ambience was great. Service was excellent! Sizzler used to be THE place back in the day. Promotion at work? We going to Sizzler! Birthday Dinner? We going to Sizzler! Won $50 on a scratch off lotto ticket? We going to Sizzler! Back in the 80s/90s, Sizzler was king! There were an abundance of them, the food was tasty, and everyone always had a good time when Sizzler was the suggested dinner destination. Nowadays, not so much. There are very few left, and compared to back in the day, the food just isn't as good. We hadn't been to a Sizzler in about 8 years, (last time there, in El Cajon, CA, we had a HORRIBLE experience) until today. This place was right next to our hotel so we decided to grab an early dinner here. We had a coupon for a free burger (sign up for their email club, and you will get one, too!), kids under 3 eat free (my daughter), and their steak and all you can eat shrimp was right up my alley. We added a salad bar to my meal, which my wife used (not sure if it works that way, but we made it work that way) and we were all set. Total was under $40.00 even with tip, so it was a deal......or so we thought.............The tale of different opinions. Me- I thought my meal was fantastic! Probably an 8oz steak, cooked perfectly medium. A tad chewy, but flavorful and cooked proper. Tons of shrimp! On the initial plate, I swear there were at least 30 shrimp! So much, I didn't need to utilize the "all you can eat" feature. I chose a baked potato and enjoyed a few slices of their "cheese bread". I was STUFFED! I really enjoyed everything about my particular meal and would come back and order this same thing again. $19.99 isn't bad for the massive amount of food I received. My wife and kids- HATED their food! The burger was super dry, had minimal grill marks on it and looked like it was a straight up frozen patty just warmed up a bit. The salad bar they ate, said it wasn't tasty at all. The options were skimp, and the food they did put on their plate, they barely touched it. Maybe they liked the onion rings? Everything else they didn't really enjoy. My wife swore up and down she would never come back to a Sizzler (at least not for the burger/salad bar). Service was great! Cashier was friendly and the 2 ladies that took turns bringing out our food/drinks were very friendly and polite. There was a manager there that was constantly walking around checking on things. I didn't see him actually talk to anyone, but he was roaming the restaurant with his hands behind his back. Was a little weird, but whatever. Would I come back? Yes. Okay. It's a Sizzler. I always make jokes about Sizzler. I know, I know. So why did we stop here? After a spontaneous thanksgiving day decision to drive up to flagstaff, this was one of the few options open for dinner. They advertised a thanksgiving meal/buffet so we figured, why not? Let's just go in open minded and enjoy the experience. The building interior is pretty worn. I've seen worse but it's still definitely many years past it's prime. The set up of Sizzler is interesting. You walk in and order (mains off the menu or go with the soup and salad bar or a combo). Then you pick wherever you want to sit. A server comes and picks up your ticket and brings you the beverages you ordered plus any menu items you have ordered. Since it was thanksgiving we went with the thanksgiving buffet, which also included the soup and salad bar. The buffet also included turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, yams, mixed veggies, gravy, and rolls. I've got to hand it to sizzlers promotional material. They really make these meals look appetizing or at least on par with something like Applebee's. The reality is, this is almost worse than cafeteria food. The only thing we found redeeming were the rolls. I'm sure they are frozen and they just heat them up but they were good. Everything else was pretty gross. The ham, turkey, Mac n cheese, yams and veggies were all just sitting in vats of water/liquid. It was gross. The mashed potatoes were gross. I'm not even sure they were instant and they still somehow were awful. The servers we encountered were really friendly especially since they were stuck working on a holiday. The girl taking care of our table brought us butter and refills with no issues. This is why 2 stars come into play. Skip this place. You will get food but the quality is rough. Unless you have no other options, then go in knowing what you're getting. The price point is insane for quality. read more

Terrible. If you go here only go for salad bar. My steak was over cooked by a lot. I ordered Med rare got well done. Told I only get one recook. So I said make it rare. They come out with this tiny steak that was mostly fat and I couldn't cut with a knife. I should have taken a picture. I don't know how a cook could serve something that bad. The shrimp were small for jumbo. I would hate to see what the non jumbo looked like. Will never come here again. I'm not sure how they are in business. I was with 6 other people who said their steak was bla and needed steak sauce who normally don't use steak sauce. I only went because it was next to hotel. We keep trying to give this Restaurant a chance but they keep disappointing us. This last visit was the worst. Sunday afternoon visit. At least 8 tables around us we dirty with dishes. They weren't cleaned until the end of our visit. It looked like a ploy to keep people from sitting in that section. After our drinks were delivered to the table, we never saw a server. Never. After not having access to Sizzler for about 16 years, I was delighted to treat my family (while traveling to the Grand Canyon) to what I remembered as "the best buffet ever". Well, after 5 adult meals and two children's meals, and $165 later, here was the outcome. The steak, lobster, and salmon were overcooked, chewy, and disappointingly small. The "salad bar" used to boast a variety of options, is now limited to salad food stuffs and fixings for hard tacos. It resembled a school fund raiser/potluck, loaded with canned food displayed in home Tupperware where you eat for the purpose of showing support, knowing that your money and dissatisfaction in your meal is going to a good cause. My daughters got the children's menu version of the salad bar, which meant they got to get one plate of whatever items were available in their "buffet." They returned with wet spaghetti noodles, canned peaches, and something similar to chicken nuggets. My wife opened up one of the said chicken nuggets and honestly asked me "what is this?" I took it from her and dissected it, pulling out some small bones. It looked like a breaded owl pellet. The staff were kind, but few... and not responsive. I don't think the place is used to accommodating families... Flagstaff Sizzler, or any Sizzler for that matter- never again! read more

We went to the Sizzler around October 23, 2020. COVID-19 restrictions were still in place at the time, so the normal setup was not in place. The manager was very cordial and we placed our order promptly. Our waiter was extremely helpful, polite, friendly, and observant to our tables needs. He was on top of every part of service during our meal. The food was pretty decent, but the steak I had lots of gristle. The wife's Cobb salad she liked. I enjoyed the huge plate of shrimp immensely. read more

The guy taking the order, with a name badge that states "management" was one of the most passive aggressive / rude humans I've encountered. We'd never been to a sizzler before and the process at sizzler is certainly unique and this guy was no help. My kid ask to customize a burger and the guy rudely said "no problem, I'll just walk back and tell the kitchen, not like there is a line of people here". He continued down that rather passive tone for the remaining order. I could include a few more examples by no need to belabor the point. Which by the way was in radically stark contrast to how kind and friendly the actual wait staff was. So once you get past the proverbial troll at the bridge this place is worth a visit. read more

Stopped here on the way back home from visiting Snowbowl. We wanted something that was going to be quick as we needed to get back on the road. There were 3 of us. Plenty of salad bar options, a few different types of salads and toppings. A few pastas, I do wish they had more pasta options. Some fruits, puddings and jello for dessert. They do have an ice cream machine as well, which my grandson enjoyed. For hot options they had chicken wings, just plain In which they never did refill the entire hour we were there so was not able to get very many. BBQ chicken pieces is what I'm going to call it because looked like just cut up tiny pieces of chicken swamped in bbq sauce. Some spaghetti and meatballs, tacos (the meat was awful). Some chips to make nachos (which were so thin that when you used the tongs to put some on your plate they just crumbled into pieces). They really didn't have much for toppings for those except cheese sauce. I did see some guacamole but it didn't look good so I opted not to take any, some canned chilies that I opted not to use either. Really wish that offered jalapeño and some pico as that would of hit the spot. I'm thinking they don't offer much for hot selections because they want you to order a meal which we didn't do because we just wanted to be quick and get home before dark. read more

Service was horrible, the attitude of the manager was terrible. We visited 08/17/24, 2pm. The restaurant is partially under renovation, so one side of the restaurant was noticeably warmer than the others side. Floors are tile/cement due to missing carpet. An elderly couple both using walking cane's were complaining that the tables needed clearing and there was no where to sit. The manager instead of apologizing told them that they could sit on the otherside of the restaurant. The elderly woman said "she didn't want to walk that far." The manager should have immediately had the tables cleaned without excuses! Then the elderly woman complained about the meat she'd ordered that it was tough and fatty, the manager's response was "it's only fat around the edges " We were sitting at a small 2 person table because of the temperature difference in the restaurant. It seemed like the restaurant was running on a skeleton crew. I noticed an employee scraping the edge of the nacho cheese pan, then adding hot water to thin the sauce, that pan should have been changed in the back out of sight. I noticed salad bar items being added on top of existing product, those pans should have been changed out also, you should never put fresh food on top of old. Had an unpleasant experience with the manager here. My family was visiting me from out of state and none of us had ever been here. While waiting in line I noticed the menu had some dish items but also what seemed like a buffet. When it was our turn, I explained we had never been and asked how the process worked to order. The manager looked at me annoyed & said "look at the menu". I was taken aback by his attitude and hesitated, which prompted him to come around the counter and point at the menu saying "The manu.... It's right here." I was so embarrassed that I almost left but my family decided instead to just explain he was being rude and he apologized briefly and proceeded to take our dish orders. Where do I start, the a/c was barely on, the food on the salad bar had no flavor because it was most likely soaking in water. It was hard finding a table, not because it was busy, but because most of the tables were dirty. My steak was supposed to be cooked to medium-rare, but came out between medium-well to well. Back in September, my friend and I came here to eat lunch after running a half marathon over at Thorpe Park. If you're new to Sizzler, ordering is slightly different than your usual sit down table service restaurant. You order your food at the counter first before being seated. You'll still have a waiter or waitress check on you during your meal. For the price point, they have very decent steaks where no A-1 sauce is necessary. However, they have A-1 if you want it. I've always found that most people really like their unlimited salad bar. For this visit, I got their New York strip steak cooked medium rare with broccoli as my side and added their salad bar. My steak came out a tad overcooked, but I'm fine with it cooked medium. The salad bar was as good as it always has been. I really love their artichoke hearts and chopped pepperoncini peppers. Our waitress was nice and friendly. She refilled our drinks whenever we were running low. read more
