Castle Subaru did not disclose the fact that my 2015 Subaru…read moreOutback had a faulty engine, and that Subaru USA lost a class action lawsuit for vehicles of various makes and models from 2011-2015 due to faulty piston rings that were causing vehicles to burn oil excessively. I consulted Castle Subaru in June of 2023, shortly after purchasing a used 2015 Subaru Outback after the check engine/oil light went on. I was told that I needed to replace an oil pressure switch which cost $500. I did not move forward with the work. Then, in April of 2024 I returned to Castle Subaru when the check engine light went on again and my mechanic could not resolve the issue, and I was told that I needed a new spark plug. I paid $399.98. Then in August of 2024, the engine completely failed, and needed to be replaced, which I did with my mechanic. This cost me $4,181.02. When this occurred, I consulted with Castle Subaru regarding the failed engine, and they tried to sell me a new car, after I expressed that I had no desire to do so. This is a terrible dealership that takes advantage of customers, withholds important information about faulty engines, and instead of helping customers, just tries to sell exorbitantly priced new vehicles. I warn all consumers to beware of this dealership and their dishonest business dealings.
