I'd had a few people suggest to me to use this company for landscaping materials. So, since I was new to this area, I did. I purchased landscaping rocks along with three palm trees. After about one month after having the palms planted, two of the smaller European Fan Palms were completely dead. I bought one large Sago Palm that seems to be still surviving. Of course, since the small palms were almost $200 each, I contacted Mulch Bucket. I was told there was no warranty at all on their trees. I was also told this particular palm had been discontinued. I was not even given an, "I'm sorry this happened." They suggested I come back and purchase more trees from them. I was quite surprised at such an unrealistic idea. No, I'm not a "troll."

We went to purchase 2 Crepe Myrtle Trees for our yard. One of the gentlemen who worked there was very pleasant and helpful in showing us the available trees. We chose the two we liked and made arrangements to have them delivered as he went back to tag them as SOLD. Late that afternoon, they arrived at our home with our two trees. Since it was later in the day, we waited until the next day to start planting them in the ground. My husband dug the first hole, and as we were settling the tree into its new home, I started to remove the tags. I was looking at the color wording of the Crepe Myrtle, and lo and behold, it was a RIVER BIRCH, and so was the second one. I immediately called the store to explain that we had gotten the wrong trees. They had me send pictures and said they would get back to me ASAP. Since that Saturday was the second day of their Spring Sale, they were even busier than the previous day and closed on Sunday. But 1st thing Monday morning, they called and were very apologetic for the error. The Birch and Crepe Myrtle were sitting right next to each other and just got tagged wrong. Later that Monday morning, the truck with our Myrtles showed up and picked up the Birch, apologizing again for the error. So now we have our two trees planted and just waiting for the beautiful purple blooms to appear. Discount Landscape, you are the best.

Unfortunately when I got there, it was nearly sold out, but they sold the last few scraps to me at a steal and I was able to use the pieces to fill in the holes. I was informed that more sod was coming in the following week, but I had to have it now, impatient me. I took the time to stroll around and found beautiful gardenias that I can find a place for and Mexican Blue Violets. There is a large variety of unusual plants and bushes that you cannot find in Home Depot. I picked out bush after bush and before I knew it, my car was packed. Oh, what did I do, now I have to plant everything. All the bushes were healthy and took immediately and are thriving even in the intense heat we are having. The sales office is a small trailer, which is adequate for their needs and the staff helps you fill your car. Their prices are reasonable. If you have access to a truck, bring it if you decide to shop here. The staff is friendly and courteous.

Ken was professional, courteous and prompt to our estimate. He listen to what we wanted and worked within our budget. They gave us a time frame of when the work would be started and how long it would take to be completed. They did everything from permitting to pouring cement, framing, screening and running electrical wires. They did it neatly and respectfully to us and our neighbors and they did it on schedule. Thank you 1st choice, especially Ken, Chris & Chris's helper who's name I don recall, we are now enjoying our porch, rain or shine. We have been enjoying our enclosure for over 6 months with no issues at all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Be advised that they are a South Carolina Company who at the time did not have a licencsed electrical contractor for NC. I was made aware of this upfront and my electrical contractor was listed on my permit by Ken. Also be aware that Brunswick county requires an as built survey they only resently started enforcing it. This was not on 1st Choice. This added 3 months to final inspect.
