When I walked in and asked for a product I got a very negative answer. Turns out they had what I needed. Took the 3 items to the register and after I paid I was handed the bag without a word being said. A nice touch of nostalgia. Very much like the hardware store you went to with grandpa 40-50 years ago. It's a bit chaotic and cramped but it's organized in a good way. You can get in and out much faster than at a big box for just about the same price as long as they have what you need. The selections don't compare to a big box though. For things like screws, nails, saw blades, grass seed, etc (expendables) they're a good choice. I did an online shop-to-store order to "buy local" instead of using my usual huge online shopping source and paid 10% more to do it. Big mistake. Total chaos, just don't. My yard tool arrived a full week after I was told it would with two different "yes, it's here" calls only to told when I got there that it wasn't. I don't mind late arrivals but I truly hate being told to come to the store just to hear it's not there. Overall, just meh. Not bad, not great. Just middle of the road. read more

The price of a bag of mulch is $5.99 - far MORE than it is sold for elsewhere. I was told the price was $4.50 (still high) by 3 different employees - one last Saturday and two today, Monday. It's like stepping to a 1900s small town. Such helpful and friendly staff. All the little things you didn't know you needed.

I have been a customer of Ace Hardware for years throughout different states in the U.S. and always counted on them having the littlest things the big stores would never think of, and the customer service was always spectacular because they took the time for customers, but this store is not the same as others. Customer service is worse here than at a big Lowe's or HD Supply, they are visibly bothered by questions. I have actually been told when asking if they had chalky white paint, that they "aren't a paint store," although they sell paint, so I would think they would be able to answer questions regarding a product which they sold. Another time I was given door keys which actually broke the lock to my vehicle, and another when asked to cut a piece of wood, they said their was a charge to do so. I have never been charged in any store to saw a piece of wood or pipe to size and that includes all other Ace hardwares. Although he ended up not charging me, probably because I should have been told of the charge prior, especially when I asked the price of the piece I needed and was paying for the full piece. The owner snidely remarked "nothing is for free," well I guess that's inclusive of good customer service. He also made condescending comments toward me to his employee. I will stick with Lowe's going forward where they are kinder and do offer free customer service. read more

Every single time! ...I go into this place ! They always have what I'm looking for and the customer service is above and behind what you'd expect ! I've stopped in a couple times and I've had different guys helping me every time and its the same great service everytime. I came in today and bought a .75 ribber washer . He made sure it fit and gotta drill and made sure it was the right fit for what I needed. These guys are fantastic best hardware store around. Shop local people !! read more

Have always been treated with friendly, professional, personal service. prices may be a tiny bit higher then big volume stores, but when I needed sterno they had it, and none of the other stores did. When I've needed ANYTHING ....they had it. They tease me about charging me more since they were my last hope of finding something, when they should have been my first stop. And they are RIGHT....They may cost a little more, but how much did I waste driving all over town to save a buck or two. I highly recommend them. read more
