Harbor freight had me open up a credit card while In store to save more on my purchase. I purchased their sawmill and after being told every week that inquired about a delivery date was told by the manager "I could just wait for an email and the store gets no credit for the sale because that's an online purchase. Sycronicity bank that is their credit card holder charged me for what was never delivered for 6 months after I cancelled the order 12 weeks in. I fought and got my money back. Then sycronicty bank actually (Ukrainian National Federal Bank) started charging my ACH account and took $1300 from me. My pathetic bank Wells Fargo told me my beef is with them. Sycronicity bank when called wants my full social, after only giving them last 4 and name " they have no record of me in their system" Harbor Freight won't talk to me only AI because I have no account number? Wells Fargo has had me wait 3 ten business day periods to deny because "my name is on the account" this is absurd at best. My suggestion stay as far as you can away from a harbor freight credit card as you can. You will be taken! read more

Great place for a quick tool at a great price. It may not last but at these prices, you can afford to replace them when they fail.

I've been to quite a few HF stores and although this one is a bit shabby, it's indicative of most of them. Everything is in the store, that much is a given, you just need to find it. It didn't take long to find the three items I went there for and check out was a breeze. I'll be back. read more

I have returned two items at the Surfside location in South Carolina with receipts . Returned right angle adapter for impact because would not fit in confines and cashier said it it won't work just return it and I did that was ok .Second item was a cheap made DMM that the LED kept scrolling numbers and I could not detect if I had voltage or not very cheap and dangerous to use especially in high current and voltage that I was working in , forgot my Flukes and they were left behinh in Michigan. Returned with receipt and was denied , lady said their vendor tracking co in California said to many returns and flagged me . What out if using credit cards . Will never enter store again and went online to contact them so they quit selling my info. Harbor freight only sells China knock off anyway, JUNK in my opinion . read more

My husband wanted a cement mixer and we went to this newly built Harbor Freight Tools. This is a smaller version of the stores we've been to in the past. Only one cement mixer was on display and two versions are listed online. We inquired and found they had the one my husband was looking for, even though the store is open only a couple of weeks and has less square footage than most. We looked around and did recognize most of the same products available. I don't recall seeing if they had work benches and other items out for display. Perhaps I missed them or perhaps they are located in the back. The staff was very helpful, polite and friendly. It is nice to have a Harbor Freight in this area of Surfside Beach, which makes it more convenient to many. Welcome to the neighborhood Harbor Freight Tools. read more

My friend took me here and I bought a sawzall led light a multi tool and a thru socket set. The thru socket set broke first use the led light never worked right out of the package multi tool lasted an hour and the sawzall made it a month. If you live next door and don't mind constantly exchanging tools, this is your store. If you hate your neighbor buy him something from here. If you want a decent tool just head to Lowe's or home Depot and spend the extra dollar and get something that will last. read more

Had a horrible experience with the manager. Returned goods for a refund, manager had to approve, he didn't read the receipt correctly and when I explained it to him he said "stop talking". Just rude! He then attempted to give me a gift card..., I had to demand cash. Manger needs customer service training and a course in manners. read more

What I am going to warn you about applies to all of their locations but the worst in this area is N.Myrtle and Surf-side Beach. The people they hire are trained to abuse and bully you into giving your personal phone number to them. You have the right to refuse it after all it is your number and you should never be made to call it out in a public place for all to hear. So wrong and why I don't do it! Today was the last straw and now am going to tell you all that purchasing a garden pump up sprayer is no reason to give up my rights to anyone. Over the years I have spent a lot of money with them but that may well be over now. We own property in N.C. and S.C. so you know the up keep requires tools. Some even very expensive tools and equipment. So I ask you, is it smart to abuse your customers and require information that is none of their business? If a woman tells you no do you still push the issue and face prison time? No means no but they do not understand what no means. Last I checked Nazi Germany was defeated in the 40's. The real rub is we don't run into so many problems with this abuse in N.C. Harbor Freight Stores but in the Grand Strand area it is horrible. People you have rights - protect those rights. Just say no to bullies! One other thing you need to know is their managers have the right according to the back of the receipt to refuse any return anytime and for any reason. Honest people just simply don't do that or even print such a thing! Beware of their misleading coupons - read the fine print so small you need a 10X magnifier. Sorry but the people working these stores are not as nice as some have said. They get very pushy when you say no - they are not nice and have no idea what no means. Another option is just avoid them and not have to face the abuse. As the song goes - Smiling Faces Tell Lies which is what you get here - run away as fast as you can run! Go to another area like Conway or N.C.. My advice to Harbor Freight is to treat customers like you want to be treated simply put respectful or expect them to never to come back. read more

This is a great harbor freight location. Always clean and well stocked. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are always fair.
